This guest house puts some luxury hotels to shame, from arrival to departure we couldn't fault anything, the family room we had was very large, spotlessly clean, and we wanted for nothing. The views from the bedrooms windows are great looking over the Loch

STAYED HER A SECOND TIME, BEAUTIFUL ROOMS, FANTASTIC BREAKFAST, FIONA IS A GREAT HOST. THE INDOOR POOL AND JACUZZI ARE AMAZING. THIS IS THE BEST DEAL YOU WILL EVER GET. THE BALCONY WAS MASSIVE, WITH A VIEW ONTO THE SEA AND SURROUNDING AREA. REALLY REALLY 10/10 FOR EVERYTHING. YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANYTHING LIKE THIS NEAR YOU.

A super, relaxing stay with Fiona in her lovely home which is an excellent base to explore the area. We had a comfortable, spacious room with a gorgeous balcony overlooking Loch Ryan. Her full breakfast was lovely, cooked very well with good quality ingredients. We didn’t use the extra facilities, i.e. pool, gym equipment and jacuzzi. but Fiona provides extra towels, robes, etc, if needed. Stranraer has shops, pubs, restaurants etc and is a 20 minute walk from the B&B along the side of the loch. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a really nice time, the lady was lovely, house itself is immaculate and really clean - Christmas decs look great!! Breakfast was lovely, we had a larger room with an unreal view and a jacuzzi bath, which is something I’ve not been in before - now want one for my own house🤣would 100% come back!

A great warm welcome by Fiona, excellent customer service, nothing is ever a bother, immaculate house. Great location, views from every window. The accommodation is flawless. Bonus of swimming pool, hot tub etc Suitable for all. We have stayed on a few occasions now and the high standard has always been the same. Well worth a visit.

From the moment I arrive Fiona was the perfect host. Room was spotless, huge and very well equipped. Breakfast was freshly prepared, plentiful and delicious. Location is only a mile from the centre of town and is a lovely walk right along the banks of Loch Ryan. View from my room was spectacular

Thornbank House is a large, impressive house situated in a quiet road with views over Loch Ryan. There is ample private parking and it is a 15 minute stroll into the town centre. Our room (no 3) is a superior double with a large balcony and sea view. It is furnished and decorated to a high standard and is very comfortable. The en-suite is also very smart with top quality fixtures and fittings. Breakfast is served in a smart dining room overlooking the garden. We both chose the Full Scottish which was freshly cooked and very tasty. We were only here for one night but this is a top class B&B and we were made to feel most welcome. We would certainly use it again.

Just back from a brilliant 2 night stay at this fantastic place. Everything about it was first class. Fiona was a great host and so helpfull. View from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was delightful . Great choice. Thankyou so much.

Absolutely fantastic place, we felt so welcome, amazing service we loved every minute staying here, can't wait to go back, dog friendly aswell which is huge bonus, absolutely spotless throughout and smells lovely too
