My husband and I had a fun time staying here however, donโt book a stay here if youโre a light sleeper. There is a lot of people who enjoy the night life and it is NOT quiet. The rooms are not soundproof either, so if youโre like us and have some belligerent drunk neighbors who want to yell at each other at 1am, youโll hear it all.

It was very clean and comfortable. I loved the comfortable mattress and historic charm offered with modern conveniences. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I was left wondering why this place was so much less expensive than the other hotels I have stayed at before.

No hotel parking, just public lot. Band in hotel played until 11:00 and it was loud on the second floor.

The Lowell Inn is a lovely 1927 hotel, charming in every detail. Second time we've stayed here, and we'll be back again. Each room is different, so you'll find a style/period you love (this time we picked a more-or-less rococo style suite).
The front-desk personnel were friendly and genuine, and breakfast the next morning was excellent (thick toast, homemade jam, fluffy eggs, monster slices of bacon).
Be warned that there's no convenient elevator (you have to go to the city parking garage to find one โ that works, but it's a bit of a walk.
There are quite a few charming places to stay in and around Stillwater, but this will be our home whenever we visit.

I think for the price of the rooms the INN is in need of some updating. I also did not find the staff very friendly, and I did not like the fact that there is not a bar and only fondue is offered for dinner.

The entryway smelled old and stale, carpeted hallways smelled old and stale. The ventilation was poor, especially in the hallways. The building needs a major remodel/update. The room was clean, small. The ice machine was broken, the coffee machine was located on second floor and offered a terrible brew; the decaf was crystals in a packet. Few to no amenities for such a pricey stay. No coffee/tea maker in room. The room was small. The place needs a major restoration.
