I would have given an extra star if it wasn’t for the broken window in our room which needs fixing. It seems that it has come forward in its hinge and let’s in loud sounds at night resulting in a disturbed nights sleep. This seems a simple fix with a push from the outside to temporarily remedy the problem. Having said this, the house itself is not on a particularly busy road and there isn’t much through traffic at night, thankfully. All the rooms seemed really nice and clean, some rooms to the back of the property seemed more peaceful than ours. The accommodation has tea/coffee, kettles and sinks in bedrooms, and there are large communal bathrooms with walk in showers which are very convenient, but you need to remember to bring your toiletries as there is no shampoo in the bathrooms. The breakfast is toast, croissants, fruit and selections of cereals and breakfast bars. The breakfast room is light and accommodating and we really enjoyed sitting and having our breakfast in there. The guest house is in a prime location and very cosy, plus, it’s easy to come and go as you please. The owner was very friendly and helpful and we had a pleasant stay, thank you.
