Travelodge Oxford Wheatley

The hotel was a bit frayed around the edges, looked like it was over due a revamp. The staff however were fantastic. They were polite, kind, thoughtful, helpful and compassionate. The customer service was excellent.

Room 19 stinks of what smells like feet, even after opening the windows, the smell remained. Vile. Dirt and cobwebs all over windows. No net curtain so people in beer garden below can see into your room unless you keep curtains shut. Whole building is very tired. People hanging round smoking directly outside entrance. As a woman on my own it felt intimidating. Unfriendly welcome from male member of staff, there was no one at the desk when I left. Room 19 next to some sort of generator as constant droning and high pitched noises so impossible to get a decent sleep. Hard, uncomfortable pillows which have left me with backache. Noisy guests shouting in corridor in early hours but not addressed by staff. I've stayed at many Travelodges and this is by far the worst - Travelodge need to offload this one or fix the many things wrong with it. Avoid!

The Travelodge website says that meals (including breakfast) are available from the Harvester next door. They were closed both nights I stayed there.

Great room, the staff espethe manager dan goes above and beyond to help with any problems, also the girls are very friendly will definitely be back, great experience. The bed was very comfy and the wifi was great for my firestick , will definitely be back, dan the manager is excellent!

Excellent and friendly staff, but a tired building in need of some TLC. Room was clean and quiet, despite the ASDA store adjacent. Also next to a good Harvester. Good situation, just minutes from the M40.

The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. Stained carpet, cracked sink, bathroom was not clean. Didn't stay, we left to continue journey.

Perfect location for visiting Oxford. Staff on Reception were fabulous and the room was clean and comfy. Harvester Restaurant was not open for breakfast on the Saturday but staff recommended a brilliant pub that served breakfast nearby. Perfect location to use Park and Ride - we will be back soon.

Just as you would expect from a Travel lodge. Simple but spacious, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Special mention to Lucy, thank you.

The room is super spacious, the bed was so comfy and they provide extra towels bedding etc. The staff were so lovely and helpful too
