Hotels near Kian Teck Dormitory, Singapore

The front desk clerk is really nice and easy to talk to. I stayed there from June 16 to June 19. My room is originally just a regular room but they upgraded it to a deluxe room with a window view, large bed and restroom, since the room im orginally booked was going to have a renovation. Thank you for the smooth transfer. Im recommending this to hotel!:)

We were prepared for a very mediocre room initially, given our history with ibis budget hotels in other countries previously. However, we were delighted with a well maintained corner room on level 4 with a window, giving us the privacy we needed. Aside from rather thin walls (we could hear our neighbours talking at night, and when they used their hair dryer), the daily housekeeping was exceptional and the staff were friendly. It helps that there were two bus stops right outside the hotel too, making accessing the rest of the city easy.

Honestly it was peaceful. There was nothing to eat nearby so we had to order. The pool was gone. I liked the room simple and cozyyy ,the bath tub was greattt!! Would come again if I need an escape from reality it's worth it.

The room is relatively small and the bathroom is shared, as is common in Singapore hotels. It's great to bring breakfast, it saves trouble and the breakfast is rich. The hotel is very clean. Several buses at the intersection can provide direct access to several major places in Singapore, and it is relatively close to NUS and MDIS. There are many villas around and it is very close to Kent Ridge Park. Overall satisfied.

The moment I stepped in the room, I’m immediately filled with the most zen feeling as the smell of peppermint is so strong and intense, which of course makes me went into complete relaxation. There’s no bug in the room and to add to it, there’s only the sound of wind ruffling with the trees, birds and insects which is why I love it even more since most of my childhood was spent living at pulau ubin. Relatable experiences just a tab more comfortable in Villa Samadhi. Besides the occasional footsteps and loud talkings when someone walks past, if not the experience will be perfect. All the staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast can be improved with more varieties and just a note that the Nasi lemak packed in the small packet can include chicken drumsticks or wings instead of chicken shredded pieces. Nevertheless, breakfast were prepared with quality (especially the mains that u get to choose from the menu). Special thumbs up for the seafood fried rice which I had ordered for dinner! Pineapple fried rice was good too! Unsheltered free parking for guests. The room is well decorated, clean bed and bathroom, facilities aspect of the room is all in. A pity I can’t get later check out as the room has been booked for the day, if not an hour or 2 can really add to my experiences in nature. In any case, am looking forward to my upcoming visit to Samadhi again in May to celebrate my birthday! A much needed quality, quietness and peace in the nature for my next respite.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times, and its great location, friendly staff, relaxing pool, and lively atmosphere keep me coming back. I recently stayed here for some biz events and was impressed with how YOTEL caters to its guests' needs. They've upgraded the in-room furniture with a functional work desk and proper chair, refreshed the mattresses for a comfortable sleep, and improved the toothbrushes. Thank you, YOTEL.

As per record, we have booked a connected room with River View for 1 double bed & 2 single beds for 3 nights. Upon arrival at the checked in counter, the staff by the name of Maria straight away offered us an upgrade of the connected room for the 2nd & 3rd night at the upper floor with a better view. But 1st night we have to stay at lower flr in a big room with 1 double bed & 2 single bed. We said OK and she checked us into Room 206. When we got to the room, we rest for a bit before we really check out the room. But my son was complaining about the room. Being the room are like an extended room for the room flr are build by wood and noisy when u walk. No centralised aircond but a split unit aircon which is not cold. Mattress are hard as if it's already more than 10years old. This room gave us a feeling as if we are some illegal immigrant. We went back to Trip.com to check the review and we found few customers are having the same experience. I've screenshot 1 of them and attached as photo. We went down to complaint & demanded change room to the room we booked in advance. And it's not our problem that they over sold their rooms & neglected customers who booked & pay in advance. Till the end, we get the room we booked but Maria claimed its VIP room which this room fits the description of the room we book. On the day we chevked out, Maria was on duty. Very bad attitude. No eye contact, no greetings, no thank you. She don't deserve to be assigned at the front desk.

Hotel located about 8 -10 minutes walking distance from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station and Plaza Singapura shopping mall. Tips: look for the exit that is near the ”Istana Park”. However, there is a short walking distance where there is no shelter after exiting the MRT. Booked a windowless room, and the room size is quite small, especially the toilets. No complimentary mineral waters provided. Other than, all amenities are available. Comfortable enough for solo traveler.

Staying at Hotel Boss was a great experience, especially for those looking for a balance between comfort and affordability. The hotel’s location is ideal—close to public transportation, including MRT stations and bus stops, making it easy to explore Singapore. The rooms are compact but clean and well-maintained, offering all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The staff are polite and responsive, and the hotel facilities, including the pool and gym, are well-kept. For Muslim travelers, there are halal restaurants nearby, adding convenience. Overall, Hotel Boss is a practical choice for travelers seeking both comfort and accessibility at a reasonable price.

Stayed here many times and always came back here when I come to Singapore. Room is small, but since I’m staying alone, it’s perfectly fine and just the right size for me. Location is not the center of Singapore, but it’s right above the MRT stations. So many food stalls right beside the hotel. Only one stop to bugis, and only 5 stops to Orchard (with transfer at City Hall). I prefer this hotel than any hotels near city but far from MRT station. It’s clean. The staffs are helpful and friendly enough. Always my choice to stay when I visit Singapore.
