Hotel was clean but what really bothered us was finding condoms and sex toys available in our room. Although the room looked clean, the items made it feel like the room was dirty. Breakfast wasn’t an option as advertised on trip.com…understanding that it is Chinese New Year but then guests should have been informed before booking. The room itself was comfy but we had hoped for the sink to be inside the bathroom as shown in the advertised photos. The entire hotel also smelt like smoke.

Great location - nice ambiance.
Enjoyed specifically the restaurant. Great personnel and special thanks to the chef who although after 9pm the restaurant had closed for the accepted us for dinner. The dishes were of very high quality -
Rooms are very spacious and the equipment of excellent standard and the garden/mountain view magnificent.
There are however visible stains and marks on the carpets. It would be great to restore them clean!
Overall it was a fantastic stay and will visit the place again with family!

I booked two rooms, and the wash basins both leaked. I reported it to the waiter and said that the maintenance man would come to see me later, but he didn't come. But it’s just one night, so it doesn’t matter. As soon as I turn on the faucet, water comes out from the bottom of the faucet... The fruits delivered are not fresh. I think it’s better not to give them. If you want to give them, you should give something better... The elevator is very dirty. The cleanliness of the room is okay, but it is estimated that there is not enough time for decoration and ventilation, and there is still a smell. The window can only be opened a small crack. Breakfast has to be eaten out of the hotel, but it is rich compared to the room price. This must be praised. There is also an empty toothbrush box in the room...

AAnonymous UserI want to start by sincerely thanking the uncle who works at this homestay for all his hospitality and attention. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were very well treated and taken care of. I will definitely remember our stay in Wangxian and hopefully come back to see the uncle.
My partner and I visited from Canada and I speak very little mandarin. Despite this, the uncle and the other residents of the neighborhood were very patient and helpful when communicating.
The check-in process was electronic. You scan the uncle’s QR code with your WeChat and register your information. For foreigners, it would be helpful to have WeChat running before arriving. The check-in was in Chinese, but I just screenshot the page and translated it and had no problems.
We stayed in room 301, it was a double room and true to the pictures. The cleanliness was good and it was quite confortable. There are large windows for lots of sun. The water is hot and the AC is functional, no complaints.
The homestay is very well located about a 10 minute drive from the Wangxian scenic area, and roughly an hour from Shangrao station. In the vicinity, there are many restaurants and a little supermarket.
Since it was quiet the night we checked-in, the uncle took us to visit the town nearby and gave us lots of recommendations for our visit such as going to the scenic area in the afternoon, and staying until the lights come on to see the night view.
We had dinner in the neighbour’s restaurant as recommended by the uncle. The food was home-cooked and the quantities were generous. Although we ate at the neighbour’s, the uncle also has some food and beverages you can buy, as well as some tables where you can eat.
Later in the evening, the uncle and neighbours invited us to sit with them and we shared some great moments together.
The next morning, the uncle had prepared a very typical Chinese breakfast for us to try. We then went up to the scenic area around midday and came back around 7pm. When we came back, we had dinner in the neighbour’s restaurant again and shared some more moments with them.
The uncle and neighbours helped us coordinate transportation to our next location and gave us recommendations to better enjoy our next destination which we followed and it turned out great thanks to them.
The community is what makes this place charming and I recommend it to anyone.

GGuest UserThe room is great, clean and sanitary. The children like it very much. It has smart control and is just like home, which makes the children feel close to it. It is very close to the Wunuzhou Scenic Area. After dinner, you can go for a walk in the evening and then go back to rest. The location is in a village and it is very quiet at night, so it is good to rest. The boss and his wife are very welcoming and can pick you up at the station. The service is quite good and they have their own restaurant where you can order food. We slept until we woke up naturally the next day. After breakfast, we took a leisurely walk along the river and drank some tea, which was quite comfortable. After lunch, the boss helped to send us to Huangling. Generally speaking, the food, clothing, housing and transportation were very good. I forgot to mention that there is a Wunu River in front of the B&B, which can be seen from the window.

SSarinaCVRI recently had the pleasure of staying at Yaxinju Modern Simplicity, and it was a truly delightful experience. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending modern aesthetics with simplicity in a way that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The smart technology integrated into the rooms added a layer of convenience and sophistication that we absolutely loved.
One of the highlights was the shower with underfloor heating, making it incredibly cozy, especially after a long day of travel. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain a pristine environment. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring we had a restful night's sleep. Additionally, the projector in the room was a wonderful touch, allowing us to unwind with some entertainment before bed.
Our host was truly outstanding. He was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Although we had to decline his offer to take us hiking the following morning as we needed some rest before heading out to Wangxiangu, we were deeply touched by his generosity. He even assisted my sister in finding a place to eat when she arrived alone and kindly picked us up from Wangxiangu in the evening.
Overall, Yaxinju Modern Simplicity, with its beautiful design and top-notch amenities, combined with such a caring and thoughtful host, made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wangxiangu!

YYuenWe came for a biking holiday. We stayed 4 nights. We left every morning on a different biking route. Lots of roads and villages.
We each had a guest room. I was disappointed that I had the smallest room but they thought I wanted to be on the same floor as my friends. They moved me to the 2nd floor and now I had the same HUGE place as my friends. In the sitting room, is an L-shaped couch. It pulls out as a bed. So I guess this room could fit up to 4 people. The shower is huge. There is plenty of space to wash our bikes. The sauna/hot air thing was great for drying our clothes too!
Had we been more people, we probably would have rented one of the bigger places and shared instead of getting our own guest rooms.
It's fairly quiet. Breakfast was served in a separate traditional building. Normal Chinese breakfast, but asked for the noodles with the fried eggs! The kitchen staff were very accommodating when we asked if we could have breakfast at 7 am. Also, we asked for a late check-out because we wanted to shower after our ride. They let each of us have our rooms till 4pm at no charge. It would be great if the stone tiles could be power washed as it was quite slippery when it rained.
I didn't have my driver's license but I needed to go pick up my friend and his broken bike. So I went back to ask the manager if he could drive our car 35 km to pick up my friend. He was happy to drive me!
The sign to the guest house was not installed but if you look for the castle-like building, you'll find it. It was tricky getting to the hotel because we arrived late and it was absolutely chucking down with rain.
This is a great, gorgeous place if you want peace and quiet. My room had a river view. Great for relaxation. Highly recommend this place.

It is antique, with carved beams and painted buildings, and has the flavor of ancient Huizhou. Secondly, the room is also very new, very clean, and the air conditioning is sufficient. The hotel’s breakfast is also good, with a dedicated The lady who cooked wontons; finally, the service of the lady at the front desk was great. She was wearing a cheongsam and looked very gentle like a Jiangnan woman. The whole service with a smile made me feel the warmth of home. I will stay here again next time I come to Wuyuan for a business trip. Home hotel!

GGuest UserDisappointing stay here. We had no choice but to extend our stay because it was Chinese new year and very difficult to find another place to stay and also my husband was sick so we had to change our plans and stay an extra night so he could rest.
The place smelled like smoke everywhere. We have a baby with us and wanted a smoke free place. Despite the signs in the lobby saying No Smoking, people were smoking there and the front desk people didn’t care. The towels in our room had ashes on them and smelled like smoke. They were also ripped and badly needed to be replaced. (We got a smoke free room and learned on our trip that all they do for smoke free rooms is open the windows to air it out before you arrive. 🤦🏻♀️)
There was insufficient toilet paper when we arrived and although they did provide more when we asked it was just inconvenient. The toilet paper holder was broken so we had to find somewhere else to put the roll of toilet paper. The sink leaked and it was supposed to be a dry washroom which is one of the reasons why I booked the place but turned out to be a wet washroom. Incredibly inconvenient with a baby.
The shower drainage was missing a cover and it didn’t feel safe for my child when showering because her little feet could get stuck inside it.
One of the days we needed to rest a little longer and the housekeeper asked us when we were leaving so she could clean our room. We said we needed 2 more hours (around 2pm) she kept trying to peer inside our room and said she wanted to get off work early. I found that incredibly rude. I understand it’s CNY and you want to go home early but that’s not something you should say to a guest who paid to stay at the hotel. Front desk people also did not seem friendly. Never saw any of them smile. We obviously don’t speak Chinese fluently and they laughed at us when they couldn’t understand us and wasn’t helpful in any way.
Overall, not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay here again.

WWayne KThe location of this hotel is good as it is within the valley scenic area. the room that we booked was nice and clean with a good view. It was also near the food street and the main activity area.
The valley was quite scenic (esp.night time when the whole vallley is lighted up), and the experience in the valley was good with many food stalls and cultural performances. The buffet breakfast spread was very good. Note that there is no laundry service.
However, the hotel service needs improvement. When we arrived, the taxi was not allowed to drive to the hobby lobby, and we need to drag our luggage to the hotel reception from the entrance of the scenic area although it's not a long distance. My room was quite far from the hotel reception (10 min walk with many steps) , there was a hotel staff to guide us there. He was kind enough to help my wife with her luggage, but I can see that it was not a default service for them to help with the luggage as it was not mentioned by the reception to call them to help when checking out. The reception did not offer us the map of the whole vallley and make recommendations of what to do. We were a bit lost after we checked in to the room and had to walk up to the reception to get the map.
Check out time was 12pm. But after breakfast, we came back to the room and found that we couldn't access the room with our card. We called the front desk, and they couldn't unlock it via the system and had to get a staf member to come to our room. Good thing that I bought the local SIM card and am able to call the front desk . If not, I will have to walk up to the reception to get this sorted out, and I had a train to catch!
After checking out, I requested reception to call a taxi for us. To our surprise , she replied that they don't do that for guests. She asked us to call the car hailing service ourselves even after i told her we are not local and not familiar with the didi app. After repeated requests, she eventually helped us call a car. I'm not sure why she didn't offer assistance from the beginning.
The experience would be better if the hotel could look into improving the areas that i have brought up.

GGuest UserThe room is over 2700, but it feels like 270. A family of four and one child came out to play, and booked a single-family two-bedroom family room. At first, I only saw four pictures, and the other room was not shown at all. I thought it should be the same as the picture. I never expected that the other room was so simple that there was only one bed, and my friends really only had a tatami bed. And you have to run from one room to another to go to the toilet. I am really dissatisfied, everyone must avoid it! The only consolation is that the service is OK, the shuttle bus driver has a good attitude, and the breakfast is pretty good.
