A very cost-effective hotel, the staff is extremely friendly and supportive. The hotel room was big, clean and equipped very well. The breakfast buffet offers both, Asian and Western style with good taste. The hotel environment is nice and green. I will come again for sure 🙂

1. The room is big enough and the bed is very comfortable. For me, who has a bad lumbar spine, I don't feel tired lying down. 2. The table is big enough for laptops and books to be fully spread out. 3. The toilets are separated from each other, the shower room is very large, and the hot water is also available immediately. 4. The field of vision is good, and it is also very open to see, without obstruction. 5. Super-large TVs and chaise longues are my favourites. It’s super cool to play ”New God List: Yang Jian” on the mobile phone screen. 6. There are robots delivering meals, so you can study or work in the room without going out. I stayed for 2 days to prepare for the exam, and I never left the room except for breakfast. Next, I have regrets. 1. There should be a wastebasket under the washbasin. It is inconvenient to throw away the fallen hair and mask now. 2. The light source on the desk should be on the left hand, and the light from the desk lamp on the right side will be blocked by the right hand when writing. 3. The room temperature is 21 degrees. I want to adjust it to 19 degrees. After turning on the air conditioner for 1 hour, the room temperature becomes 22.4 degrees. Especially when sleeping, because the quilt is thick, the room temperature cannot be lowered, and I sweat all over on the first night. On the second day, the legs and arms were always exposed, which was slightly better. The overall feeling is very good, and I will book another room when necessary.

When I checked in in the early morning of New Year's Day, there were still many guests checking in. Business was very good, and there were so many guests for breakfast. After searching around for a while, there was no room available, so the staff helped move a chair. The room is very comfortable, the big bed is super big, it is two single beds pushed together. I didn't have time to give out the welcome fruit, so I gave a bottle of perfume, the fragrance is not bad :)

The overall service of the hotel is very good. There is tea at check-in. Check-in is very fast. The location of the hotel is easy to find. There is also a large free parking lot. It is convenient to travel and very close to the subway station. The hotel is located on the edge of the community and is very quiet. The room is clean and spacious, Atour's bedding is very comfortable, the mattress and pillows are great 👍, the elevator is also fast, you don't have to wait for a long time during peak hours, the TV can cast the screen, the network signal is good, the hot water temperature is just right, breakfast There are many varieties, I recommend the scallion oil noodles 🍜. Shanghai's skyline, punctuated by the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the towering Shanghai Tower, paints a vivid picture of the city's impressive blend of traditional charm and modern flair.

Journeying to Shanghai

Shanghai's main international airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, offers numerous connections globally. Once there, you can reach downtown Shanghai using the Shanghai Maglev Train, buses, or taxis. For domestic travelers, high-speed trains offer an efficient means of travel.

The main mode of payment in China is usually through AliPay or WeChat Pay. Most places still accept credit and debit cards, but it's wise to carry some local currency (RMB) for smaller vendors. Mandarin is the official language, with Shanghainese also widely spoken. A translation app may come in handy when interacting with locals.

Attractions That Shine in Shanghai

Shanghai is brimming with must-see sights. Walk along the Bund to see colonial-era buildings against the backdrop of a modern skyline. Visit the tranquil Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite example of Ming Dynasty design. The Shanghai Museum hosts an extensive collection of Chinese historical artifacts, and the Shanghai Disney Resort promises fun for the entire family.

Shanghai's Seasons and Apparel

Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate. Summers (June-August) are hot and humid, while winters (December-February) can be quite cold. The best times to visit are autumn (September-November) and spring (March-May), when the weather is moderate. Pack a mix of lightweight and warm clothing to adjust to fluctuating temperatures in Shanghai.

For foodies, The Puli Hotel and Spa is near numerous eateries in the Jing'an District. The budget-friendly Mingtown Etour Youth Hostel near People's Square offers comfort without the hefty price tag.
