This hotel was AMAZING! From the staff, to the food, the views, and the vibes, this hotel was 5/5 stars. Every single staff we spoke to was kind and helpful. We were always greeted with a warm welcome whenever we walked through the doors. This hotel was right on the beach providing great access to the sand & water and so many restaurants. It was so nice to walk out of our hotel room and have multiple options for food and drinks. The poolside chairs were comfortable, the drinks were great, and their in-house DJ played fun music! The rooms were nicely done, clean, cool, plus it was so relaxing to hang out on our patio every night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a couple or friends.

Stayed for three night this week and found it was nice. Central and on the beach with a cool design. Breakfast was good and the quick check in was quick. Overall the hotel was worth the money. Only negative is in the room - “Coffee in a bag” OMG put it in the bin. 🤮

Amazing hotel and a lovely experience overall. Location wise you are right on the beachfront with amazing views from your room and for breakfast. Only downside to the rooms was that the beds were uncomfortable but they were well sized and pillows soft! We also noticed that if you went for breakfast after 10:00 (finishes at 11:00) some stations were already being packed away/not re-filled. Looking to return later in the year though as it is a beautiful hotel.

The BEST hotel I’ve ever been on! The hotel rooms are really spacious and clean! The bed was hugeee, a table by the bed (good for make up etc) and a balcony with chairs - loved the view :). In the room there’s a big shower, sink, and of course mirrors! Everything is so accommodating and did I mention it’s all very clean!? The hotel in general was so aesthetically pleasing, the restaurant, the pool, not to mention it’s right by the beach. There’s many bars and restaurant, supermarket, etc that’s all 2/3 minute walk away. It’s been so convenient for us. The most memorable was the STAFF! From the moment we checked in, we were looked after by JJ and he was amazing from the start. He made sure we were contented throughout our stay and attended our every whim. We asked for a later check out and he made this happen! I can’t recommend this hotel enough! If you want a relaxing holiday and have the best accommodation… this is the place. You will not regret it! Much love for the staff! Thank you for everything, loved our very first visit in Mallorca. We will be back!

Terrible Stay… Luna Park in front of our (what should be) Premier Sea View room… And the highlight tonight is a rock concert down there 50m away from our room til the morning hours… thank you for paying EUR 400-500 For not being able to sleep at 1:30 a.m. on our holiday..!

This will be a review of two halves, there’s the very good bits and the not-so-good (but not bad) stuff First the up-side. This a beautiful hotel, thoughtfully decorated with large rooms with an excellent view from our room 208 (see the attached photo.) The shower is excellent. The air-conditioning and ceiling fan perfect to fight back the heat. The bed is huge, if you want to forget there’s another person on holiday with you, this is the perfect hotel. The hotel borders the golden sands of Palmanova beach, and is so close to the sea you can stand in the water and still get a Wi-Fi signal from the hotel (I don’t know why you’d want Wi-Fi in the sea, but its there if you want.) The area around the hotel is almost flat, and perfect for anyone of restricted mobility, and full of bars and restaurants. One odd feature of the hotel is that there is no reception, in place of this a number of young people waft around the entrance with tablet computers and radios. This works very well but does give the lobby area a curious lack of focus That was all the up-side, so what’s so wrong here? First, the music in the lobby is TOO LOUD. I realize that loud is a subjective term so here’s a working definition. If you can stand in the sea (perhaps using the wi-fi) with your eyes closed and still unerringly point to your hotel because of the racket coming from it, then the music is too loud. It wouldn’t be so bad if the music was chilled out and laid back, but instead its upbeat high energy tunes that make you want to get up, stride energetically across the room and turn the volume down. And then there’s food. The breakfast is a buffet with excellent orange juice, a vast array of fried things, yogurt and cereal. So far, so good. But then there’s the evening. Like some other reviewers we booked the half-board option, but somewhere between booking and arrival the hotel quietly cancelled the half-board option and took the restaurant seriously up-market. The usual half-board buffet was replaced by a subset of the full menu which provides three problems for the guest. First, the earliest time you can eat is 8:30. So if you wanted to eat before an early show then forget it. Second, the new half board menu is very restricted and you’ll find yourself eating the same items over and over (but if you want to try ‘squid with ink sauce’ its there for you to try.) Third, no one at the hotel seemed to know how to manage half-board! During our time at the hotel we were   Given the wrong menu, and tried to charge us 136 euros for a meal Told we had to book (you don’t) Told the wrong time Had our booking cancelled without telling us (turns out we didn’t need a booking, but it would have been nice to have been told) At this point the attentive reader will have noticed that despite the above litany of problems, I’ve still highly rated the hotel. This is still a beautiful hotel perfectly located, no one went hungry and we had

Whenever visiting a new / refurbished hotel we were slightly worried about what to expect , especially when reading a few negative reviews but … we loved it ! The’ booking in ‘ process to the hotel is a new experience as their is no reception area and it needs to be completed on the app .. the star of the show was definitely Alicia who was amazing and helped us thru the process . In fact all the team who ‘greet ‘ you on a daily basis are very helpful and polite but a special mention to Alicia who was fantastic all week , with recommendations and her help with thr bookings . The rooms were very good , pretty much as the pictures on the main page - Decent size and comfortable beds .. I would try to secure a sea view , the road view isn’t that bad but looking out to the sea , sipping a cocktail on the balcony must be awesome ! No issues at all with the sun bed situation, headed down after breakfast at 9am and saw plenty of beds to use for the day . During the day the bar staff by the pool will come around and take drink orders .. all of the staff were extremely helpful and very polite , credit to the hotel . The hotel is trying to build a beach club vibe and around lunch time a couple of days the music was pretty ‘ Ibiza vibe ‘ so this might not suit all people . Breakfast was fantastic , great selection of food . All provided on a buffet style service . Starts at 8am . The restaurant staff were all excellent , our only slight gripe would be the evening menu was a bit pricy and limited in selection but Palma Nova has so many great restaurants , you won’t have a problem eating out . If you want to head to beach it’s literally around 10 metres from the hotel , plenty of beds are available at a cost . This is not part of the hotel !

We’d stayed at this hotel in 2022 and really liked the location and the rooms, but found it a bit noisy around the reception and pool - music levels on the loud side. I appreciate this might be a Melia ‘thing’, but it’s a really lovely hotel. Based on that, we decided to try it again this year (I’m a bit late on the review - it was October!) after it had change to Zel Mallorca following some kind of take over by Rafa Nadal! First impression was that it is still a beautiful hotel and the location still (obviously) fantastic. The rooms had had a refresh as well - the accommodation is of a very high standard! I had a couple of issues through. 1. If you want a quiet stay with quiet time by the pool or a room overlooking the pool, you might find the music loud. It’s loud in the reception areas around the pool and in the Beach Club area too. Really gone for a night club vibe which didn’t seem to fit the target demographic. 2. In the interests I guess, of a more personable reception experience, the hotel has done away with a reception desk. Whilst this seems like a good idea on the surface, it was a bit like running a gauntlet every time one walks through the reception area, with various members of staff milling around. We found it a bit of an odd experience! That said, the hotel team are VERY helpful (although wouldn’t reduce the volume of the music!), but if you’re looking for a quieter, relaxing time, then rent sun beds beach & parasols on the beach.

Fantastic hotel! The staff are just brilliant, so full of energy, happy to help you and make you feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is beautifully designed, such a breath of fresh air from your usual standard soulless, clinical hotels. Zel feels like a place you want to hang out. Amazing location looking out to the sea. The spa was an extremely nice addition! Felicity & Pär
