Hotels near Korean Customs Museum, Seoul

I have stayed in Dongdaemun more than 50 times on business trips. So I guess I've conquered almost all the hotels in Dongdaemun? I've stayed there so many times. Among them, Ashley House is the No.1 in hospitality and convenience. Price range. It was a comfortable hotel that I don't want to think of any other than Ashley House from now on. Let me review my impressions in detail! [Convenience] The subway station is close, the bus stop is close, and the bus stop to Incheon Airport is close. There is no trouble with access to anything. It is also located on the well-known APM PLACE, so you can arrive by just saying a word to the taxi driver from Seoul. It is the most convenient place to go night shopping in Dongdaemun. To go to NyuNyu, which has recently become popular among Japanese people, just take the elevator down and take the bus right in front of you, and you will arrive in 5 minutes without walking. There is only one elevator to the hotel, so access to the room is great and not tiring! [About the room] The room has a microwave, a water server with hot and cold water, a washing machine, a kitchen, and even a microwave. There is a transformer so you won't have any trouble charging your phone. I've stayed at hotels that are twice as expensive as this one, but none of them have everything. If I wanted to eat ramen at the hotel in the middle of the night, I would fill it with hot water at a convenience store and bring it into the hotel. I was very grateful to have it in the room. The sunshine is excellent and the view is great. There is a full-length mirror and a makeup mirror to help me get ready, so it was helpful. I thought the little considerations were wonderful. The calm space was so comfortable that it felt like I was at home when I came on vacation. The cleanliness was 100 points! On the contrary, I felt like I was really okay with this price. 🥺 [Hospitality] This is the part that impressed me the most. This hotel does not have a front desk, so when you make a reservation, the owner will send you a secret number. I was always in contact with the owner on LINE in advance. The owner of Fariy House speaks Japanese very well, so if you have any problems or questions, he will explain them very carefully. The return bus was to Gimpo, but I couldn't find any information on the internet, so I asked the owner, who gave me detailed information with an easy-to-understand map and timetable, and even asked if I could show me to the bus stop. 😭 I'm very grateful for the owner's consideration, which makes me understand why Fariy House is a popular hotel. I was worried about what I would do if it became too popular and I couldn't get a reservation, but I'd like to express my gratitude for finding this hotel, which made my work go so smoothly. 3rd or 4th time staying here only because it’s convenient. There’s a direct limousine bus from the airport that stops just opposite the hotel. The nearest train station exit (exit 6) is full on all stairs though so keep in mind if you have luggage. Check in is easy but I’m still iffy about using code numbers for my room because anyone can break in easily. Had breakfast coupons but didn’t go as the last time I went it was close to nothing. Staff is nice and helpful as always.

Location: First of all, it was located in front of the bar of Chungmuro Station, so the accessibility was very good! As soon as I got off the station, it was easy to find because it was right there, and it was easy to move to the subway. In addition, there are many food nearby, so I ordered it to be delivered in the evening. At night, I went out with my friends and played in my favorite bar. 🍻 Room interior, cleanliness: First of all, the room stayed in a room for three people, but it was wider than I thought, so three people went to sleep. It was enough, very neat and clean. There was also a table, so it was easy to eat, and it was okay to bring a laptop and see the work! The bathroom is clean and Netflix is available (you need to use your own ID). There is a washing machine, induction, and sink, so you can cook and wash! (I haven't used it, but,) it was just new and tidy because the bathroom was just built. Is it a little unusual that the sink is on the outside? It wasn't uncomfortable, but it wasn't as noisy as Hongdae or Sinchon. It was nice to be quiet at night, not like a noisy downtown area, but because of its good accessibility and location, it was convenient to use public transportation and places to eat or cafes around. It was nice to have a lot! I stayed with my friends, but I think it would be suitable if you are looking for a place to stay for long-distance business trips or business purposes.. !

Acube Hotel was perfect for our short stay. Located close to subway line 2 Eulji-ro 4 (see picture for reference of neighborhood), connected to all places of interest and Airport Railway. Room was clean, with all amenities. Check in was fast and easy, check out even easier. It was one of the few places that would accommodate our family of 5 for a fair price. I’d consider it again if ever going again to Seoul.

I had a fantastic stay here and the location was perfect - close to Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The convenience of public transportation nearby was a huge plus. The staff was incredibly helpful in providing recommendations and directions for navigating the area. I truly appreciated the seamless experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting :)

It was nice to see a budget friendly hotel with a quality service. When you enter, you are greeted with a kiosk so face to face interaction was unnecessary. It was really easy to navigate so had no problem. Lobby was clean and spacious but the room was a bit small. This really didn’t bother me because I was looking for a place I can just hop in and sleep. Considering the cost it was nice. Also the staff were really friendly. I could leave my bag before check-in and after check-out and they were really nice about it. I hope to visit here again.

The location is next to Exit 1 of Hongdae Station, very convenient. It is only 3-5 minutes away from the Hongdae Night Market. It is very convenient. You can go to the night market almost every day. There are also many delicious shops nearby, as well as convenience stores. The room is a bit small, even the superior double room is a bit small. The equipment is basic, and the quality of the bathrobe feels rough. The cleaning of the room needs to be strengthened, there are small garbage on the floor, and there is a little dust on the table. No bathtub and no toothbrush provided. But the design of the hotel is not bad, the cleaning lady is very kind, the bar service staff on the top floor is also very nice, there are printers, billiard tables and other facilities. The overall accommodation experience is ok.

It's a bit of a walk from Hongdae Station, but with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores along the way, the walk is enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, and everything was comfortable, though the room with two beds was a bit small. I had a great stay and would book here again if I visit Korea.

Room no. 1811, stayed 9 nights for a big rest. Woke me up really early at first 2 mornings as railways and working sites are nearby. You have to plug the earbuds which the hotel provides to minimise the noise from these. Apart from that, the room is clean and modern, quite comfy, walkable to the train station and shopping plaza(around 500 meters). I didn't use the pool and restaurant so I don't want to comment but the room service were amazing especially the fries 🍟 and burgers. Thanks to the manager Sue who is accommodating and helpful to changed the room twice for me which let me have a good rest. Overall a pleasant stayed.

Very convenient location to go Everland. Very comfortable hotel and clean to have a good rest after exploring the whole day at Everland. The next day could enter the park without long journey from Seoul. However, the breakfast served was continental breakfast, not buffet breakfast as stated. Very disappointed as spent a lot purchasing the package with breakfast. Besides the breakfast served, all the other aspects are satisfied. Heat patch was given for every guest. Check in pricess is smooth and fast. Luggage storage is provided as well. Bought bhc fried chicken and ribs where located just behind the hotel.
