We stayed one night. The hotel is located in the western part of the city with easy access to the Autobahn and free parking. The Gottorf Castle and the downtown area are both within walking distance. The hotel is not a new structure and we noted that no elevator was available, making it necessary to carry our baggage up and down a rather steep stairway. We visited on a sunny and warm day and unfortunately our room was facing the front side of the house with a busy street and some noise. Our room was large and clean, but very basic and especially the bathroom was in need of an update. Breakfast was good and the team member here did a good job.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Hotel, in dem das historische Ambiente des Gebäudes mit modernen Elementen sich harmonisch vermischt. Abends stand uns als Gruppe eine Bar mit Selbstbedienung auf Vertrauensbasis zur Verfügung. Soetwas gibt es auch nicht überall. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut bestückt, Eierspeisen werden auf Wunsch individuell und zügig zubereitet und von einer sehr netten und sehr umsichtigen Servicekraft höchst freundlich serviert. Unser Zimmer zum Park war extrem ruhig und komfortabel eingerichtet, auch wenn die letzte Renovierung - zumindest im Bad - schon etwas her ist. Die Betten waren recht weich, aber das ist bekanntlich Geschmackssache. Die Parkplätze vor dem Haus sind kostenlos und für die Zimmeranzahl ausreichend. Die Altstadt von Schleswig ist fußläufig gut erreichbar.

Denkmalgeschütztes Haus mit schönem Frühstücksraum und Terasse zum Schloss. Parken kostenlos. Lage fußläufig zu Zentrum, Altstadt, Schloss. Kleines Frühstücksbüffet mit aufmerksamen Personal, 17 EUR aber der Leistung nicht angemessen. Zimmer und Bad sehr klein, mit Blick in die unmittelbar gegenüberliegenden und die ganze Nacht beleuchteten Räume. Jalousien defekt. Äußerst spartanische Ausstattung. Checkin nachmittags wegen "Personalmangels" telefonisch mit Zugangscode. Zimmerreinigung unzureichend (Personalmangel?)

Een half uur voor aankomst in hotel Zollhaus, dat we 2 weken eerder hadden geboekt én betaald, kregen we te horen dat het overboekt was en er niets meer in de omgeving te vinden was; ze konden ons niet helpen. Deden ze verder ook niet. Uiteindelijk moesten we het zelf allemaal maar oplossen, De enige oplossing was 50 kilometer terugrijden naar Kiel en daar een veel duurder hotel nemen.
