Ascott Dadonghai Bay Sanya

I booked an apartment that came with cooking and laundry facilities. Overall, it's a great value for money option, perfect for those who enjoy cooking and want to settle in for a few days. As a member, I received an upgrade. While the amenities weren't quite on par with a hotel, the service was incredibly responsive and enthusiastic. The cleanliness was generally good, but I did find some long hairs on the nightstand and the mattress was a bit saggy.

Our family of six adults and one child traveled from Clear Water Bay to Dadonghai and stayed at Ascott. We chose the best executive duplex suite with a pool on the top floor, priced at 3200 for one night or 5999 for two nights. It had three large bedrooms, allowing us all to stay together, feeling more like a temporary home than a hotel. The service was excellent. Since we booked through Ctrip, the front desk added me on WeChat beforehand, so any requests could be handled promptly, which was very convenient and responsive. The room was spacious, providing ample space for the children to play. Although it's a serviced apartment, the hygiene was well maintained, with no noticeable issues. However, I'm deducting 0.5 points for one reason: compared to previous resort hotels I've stayed at, the soundproofing at night was just average. Even on the top floor, car horns and the dripping sound of air conditioners outside the window were very noticeable. The central air conditioning unit was also mediocre; even on the lowest fan speed, the noise level was considerable, which wasn't ideal for sleeping. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking. Initially, the strong wind at high altitude caused window resonance, but after reporting it to the front desk, a staff member came and reinforced them. On the plus side, there's a washing machine and a balcony for drying clothes, which is a great convenience for long trips and very friendly for older guests. The hotel's breakfast pastries weren't as good as those at my previous stays, but the Chinese food was excellent and tasty, with enough variety even if not extensive. The package we booked included a complimentary buffet afternoon tea and a four-person set meal, both of which were delicious and generous, a great bonus that saved us money on one meal. The hotel's common areas are not very large. We usually walked for 10 minutes to Dadonghai Beach. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and getting a Didi (ride-hailing service) is very convenient. It's about a 37-minute drive from the airport. Overall, I still highly recommend it, especially the regular rooms which are not expensive and offer good value for money!

This will be my top choice for future business trips to Sanya Bay. The room amenities at Ascott truly make you feel at home and are incredibly convenient. The first-row sea view, comfortable furnishings, and abundant breakfast make you never want to leave... It would be even more perfect if food delivery services could deliver directly to the room. Looking forward to improvements!

The sea view room was absolutely unbeatable, and the price was very reasonable. The room was super clean, not a hint of mildew. Customer service rep Amy was incredibly helpful, almost always responding instantly online. I'll definitely be back!

First off, the front desk's warm, professional, and attentive service during check-in started my Sanya trip on a perfect note. The room had an excellent view, and having a kitchen and washing machine was incredibly convenient – not having to worry about laundry was a real treat. Breakfast and lunch were decent; the fish was quite tasty, and the fries were delicious. The pool was very clean, and the lifeguard was super helpful, even inflating my swimming float. The cleaning staff near the showers were also very quick; basically, as soon as someone left, the floor was mopped dry, preventing any slips.

The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and friendly, and deliveries were always prompt. However, it's not a beachfront hotel, so you have to walk a bit to get to the sea. The pool was decent. One issue was that the blackout curtains in our room didn't fully cover the windows, so light would peek in during the morning – this might be a problem for light sleepers. Everything else was great though! An apartment where you can do laundry and cook is definitely my first choice for a vacation.

I had a very comfortable stay last time, so I brought my kids along this time, and both the children and adults were very satisfied. The high floor offered great views, and the service was incredibly attentive, especially from Xiao Liang. The apartment-style hotel has all the amenities you could need, and I particularly loved the washing machine with a dryer – it's just so convenient!

The room was very spacious, with a large living room, dining table, kitchen, kitchenware, and microwave, all very well-equipped. The balcony was also great for drying clothes, and there was a washing machine. Overall, it was excellent, and I would definitely come again. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
