I made a reservation for work purposes. Decided to come in early with fam to enjoy. I called over a week before coming and talked to the front desk. They reassured me that they updated my reservation and we were good to go. After driving 7 hours (should have been 5) with a carsick toddler, imagine my surprise when I showed up to find they DID NOT update my reservation and we were homeless for the night. The front desk lady was the rudest, very dismissive, pretty much said tough, we are full and you can find somewhere else to go. We asked for a manager...none on duty on weekends. She practically threw the manager's business cards at us and told us we can call to complain. Again, not our fault, take accountability for your companies mistake! During spring break weekend it was nearly impossible to find a place to stay and ended up costing us over $300 more than this hotel. We missed half of the weekend activities we were supposed to do. I recommend going 8 minutes down the road to the other Hilton Garden Inn SA airport on Broadway. Steer clear!

I made the reservation basically because we couldn't find a room anywhere else. This location is close to the family we drove to San Antonio to visit. We were in the car for 16 hours and just really ready to crash when we arrived. I had called ahead to confirm the reservation since it was going to be around 9 pm when we arrived. We checked in, fell into bed and went to sleep. The next morning, we woke up to a wonderfully, delicious, free buffet style breakfast with a lot of choices. The hotel staff were polite and though we never needed a thing, asked us often when we passed in the hall or lobby or by the pool area if we needed anything. The room was clean, full-size fridge, a small kitchenette, sitting area and comfortable bed. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a blow dryer were on site. The kitchen area would be great to keep from eating out so often as you could cook a full meal there if you wanted. A cooktop, microwave, dishes, utensils, cups and cookware, were all provided in the kitchenette as well as a coffee maker and toaster. The fridge had a working ice maker that made a lot of ice. I had requested a king size bed which isn't what we got, however, I made the reservations pretty last minute so it was what it was. The person at the desk, not always the same person, was always polite, attentive and available. The pool area was clean and stocked with towels. The room was relatively quiet for a hotel setting and there are stairs and elevators readily available. Plus you can park undercover in a secure basement location. I did not visit the fitness room, but ran in to a woman coming from there and she said it was great. All in all, I would definitively book a room there again next time we go that way. The price was good, the breakfasts were great, the hotel area was clean, the outdoor area was welcoming, easy access to the room from the parking area and the staff was always very nice. It was a great accidental find and I would highly recommend.
