There are Spa and Gym in the hotel introduction, but upon arrival, they were told that the Spa is closed and Gym is not in the hotel. The so-called private beach, just look at it. After we arrived at the Upper town pier, we finally experienced the feeling of a beach and the ebb and flow of the tide. The carpet in the hotel smells very bad, and the carpet in the room is not very clean. The breakfast is average, the dinner price is 40% higher than that of St. Mary Island, the taste is average, the fish is relatively firewood, and the beef in the Sunday roast should be synthetic meat. There is no free bottled mineral water in the room (the hotel is located in Low town, there are no restaurants or supermarkets around), the slippers need to be delivered by phone, and the front desk was not answered twice out of the three calls. When you need to take a boat to the outlying islands, the hotel recommends a fast boat. The same industry charges 50 pounds, and the hotel ranges from 65 pounds to 90 pounds. If you decide to take ferry off the island, you need to walk 30 minutes on the mountain road to the pier at the other end (upper town). The luggage can be delivered to the pier by the hotel. For guests, it is only picked up and not delivered, because the hotel does not provide taxi services. All in all, the hotel is not worth the price of more than 4,000 yuan a night.

What an amazing hotel. Loved it!! Car to pick up your bags from the key, the. You can walk or if room grab a lift to the hotel. Check in was so welcoming. The staff really cannot so enough for you. Room was beautiful. Looking out onto the sea, idyllic. Food was perfection. I cannot praise the staff too much. The team all work very hard. This was a work trip, so unfortunately I only stayed one night, but I will be returning. Cannot thank the staff enough. Highly recommend. And the Island itself was a dream. Everyone was so friendly. Lovely walks and a pub to enjoy. If you haven’t been, put it on your bucket list.

Very welcoming staff. Lovely retreat to relax in and away from it all. Wonderful walks and great views. Make sure you have enough people together to reduce the cost of hire boats from the hotel-if you do then it is well worth it in time saved, maximising your time visiting other islands. Bring a thermal rash vest or shortie wetsuit unless you really love cold water swimming

My Super Veteran's team for the World Pilot Gig Championships stayed at St. Martin in May 2024. From reservation to departure it was amazing and easy. Scott and his team took great care of us and made us feel like winners. The location away from St. Mary's was peaceful and rejuvenating. Falcon and Osprey and respective boat captains were punctual, professional and filled with local lore and stories. Everyone on St. Martin was instantly a friend. Food was amazing and kept us in good rowing prowess, in spite of the Hollandaise sauce. Thank you for an amazing time and wonderful lodging.

Cannot comment on the hotel side of this establishment. My review is based solely on visiting as a day tripper to St Martins. We called in hoping to get some lunch but I have to say, the prices are extortionate! How can you possibly justify £21 for a crab sandwich? I totally appreciate “island overheads” having visited Scilly many times but these prices are in a different league of their own. Two teas, one slice of carrot cake £17. Totally ridiculous.

The views are absolutely stunning, it’s just absolutely beautiful! Please visit this place for yourself and make up your minds for yourselves! This is our first time here and we are really enjoying and having a great time! The place is very clean, the rooms are nice. The food is lovely and you have a choice! The staff are so good and helpful. For those that are making comments about members, please note that members have paid a premium upfront to become members and then pay ongoing huge costs on a yearly basis! And in my opinion we have every right to experience what we pay for! Well done Karma for another excellent venue! We will definitely come back again.

We had dinner here one evening during our tour of the islands. It is the only hotel on St Martins, and is found on the shore on the western side of the island, right next to Lower Town Quay. It provides a great dining experience with views of the sea. Good food and friendly staff. If you want to dress up for the evening, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Whereas the position of this hotel is 5*, the interior sadly doesn't match up. The hotel is relying on its sea edge location but has neglected to maintain the rooms and public areas to a luxury standard - the rooms are tired and jaded and desperately in need of refurbishment. In particular, the bathroom looked shabby, less than clean and we were provided with cheap looking toiletries which were locked to the wall, not unlike a Premier Inn! Why not use quality local products, which we received at the New Inn on Tresco, which was approximately half the price of a night here! In addition to that, the door handle to both the bathroom and the main door came off in my hand. It's a great shame, because this hotel has a location to die for . The ' lounge' upstairs, a former dining area, looked more like a random furniture store room, despite its beautiful views - woefully run down and under utilised. In the garden area, wooden tables and chairs were provided but they were dreadfully uncomfortable and there were no cushions. There was a single small sofa and table, also without cushions and which looked like it had been purchased from ALDI. As the hotel was right beside the quay, day visitors were using the garden which isn't an issue, but surely a designated area should be set aside for residents who should not be left without a seat at busy times given the premium price charged! The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was good although the restaurant seemed lacking in direction - no-one seemed to be in charge. Management generally seemed to be very much behind closed doors. We thought we had paid a premium price fir a luxury hotel but this is sadly not the case, apart from its position.
