Hotels near Odo Shrine, Saga

Public transportation is inconvenient, it is recommended to drive by car, there are many hot springs nearby to choose from, the proprietress is very enthusiastic and proficient in Chinese, will carefully recommend the surrounding attractions 👍🏻

There are free bread and coffee in the morning and all the people are friendly. It was very convenient because it was close to Saga Station

The female dorm has a security entrance, so I felt safe staying here. There is a shopping area just behind the hotel, and lots of eateries available. The Kumamoto castle is also within walking distance. The washroom's cleanliness and amenities are tip top. There are no complaints. There is also a washing machine and dryer which is convenient if you need to do some laundry during your travels. There is also a female bath but I didn't have time so I have no comments on that. There was also a rest area for dining which is good for people who wants to eat take-away or convenience store foods. There is a hot water provider and microwave, but there was no drinking water supply. (I guess you'll need to buy bottled water, which in this case, there are several vending machines within the premise)

We enjoyed our stay at Garden Terrace Saga, with its modern rooms and superb service. We arrived after a long day of travels around Saga prefecture. Please note that there is an entrance via Shinei Dori Street, Dive through the red building tunnel, across a short bridge and make a left turn, the hotel is on your right. After a quick check-in process, we were escorted to our room on the 6th floor. Our agent had booked us the honeymoon suite and it was absolutely lovely. After a brief introduction, she left us to our own devices. Upon entry, two large double beds occupied the double ceiling area. This room was at the apex of the Isosceles-triangle-shaped hotel. Beds had clean and smooth sheets and was super comfortable. Bedside charging points are in built into the side table area. A large flat screen TV is mounted on the wall in front of the bed. Mostly local TV channels though! Walking beyond the beds is the make-up table with comfy chair and large mirror. The closest is behind this and you can find slippers, bath robes and the room safe here. There is an exit door behind the floor to ceiling mirrors here too, with staircase leading down. I believe the housekeeping uses this to get into the room. Beware that the door was not locked when we found it. Some added security here for guests would be ideal. Moving back to the main door, and to the right is a small toilet area, separate from the shower/bathroom area. The standard Japanese toilet and small sink is housed here. if you walk to the left as you approach the main door, there is a large sitting area with comfy sofa, and another TV. There is also a 6 seater dining table. The hotel was really good to us and gave us a box of cakes that was left in the man-height fridge. The hotel also notified the Teppanyaki restaurant that I had a bottle bubbly from a previous stay in the fridge. Thus restaurant flipped the beverage menu to the champagne page we were given the menus. We liked this sharing of information! There is tea and coffee making facilities here too. Wifi is standard throughout the hotel and it was pretty fast and strong.. The bathroom is right behind the living room TV. Double sinks and loads to amenities. There was also a bottle of bathing sake for guest use. A rain shower and bath tub is connected to the bathroom. One can also exit the bathroom and into the enclosed balcony area [or go out via the living room]. where there is a large seating area is ready to welcome guests, as well as a jacuzzi. I went down to the gym on the two mornings we overnighted here. The gym is small and narrow with very select machines. One multi function weight machine, two light dumbbells station and one treadmill and bicycle/elliptical [?] machine. There is a small swimming pool and a Sauna cabin next to it. Central easy walk to great restaurants and quenelles and sightseeing highlights of Yanagawa. Modern reception with ultra friendly staff who made us feel most welcome even with the language barrier. Kuniko-San was on reception when we checked in and served us breakfast each day. She was so helpful, engaging and incredibly welcoming. Traditional Japanese Breakfast was included in our tariff and changed each morning, delicious, pickled vegetables, grilled fish, rice with Tsukudani, miso , marinated octopus with vegetables, tamago & green tea & filter coffee. The room was traditional Japanese large and spacious 10 tatami with extra futons for increased cushion. The best part was the view from the room overlooking a lovely traditional Japanese garden, very private, and shielded from the bright morning sun by surrounding trees. I highly recommend this lovely hotel for an authentic Japanese experience

We came to Yanagawa to see and ride on the old canals and stayed at this authentic Japanese hotel for a night . Nice place right beside the canal where you can see the boats going by. There were three of us so we had a big room, one part Western with two single beds the other part was a Japanese tatami mat room where the staff made up a bed on the floor while we were at dinner. Booking in was easy and staff super polite which is the normal in Japan. Before dinner we went to the hot springs bath and relaxed in the lovely hot waters. We had booked in for dinner 6.30 pm. in the main dining room , we went in the Yukata’s that the hotel provided, very relaxing. Dinner was a set menu, typical Japanese food, about ten little bowls containing different items, miso soup, different Sashimi’s, chicken , pickles , eel, which this area is famous for and another lovely small fried fish, plenty to fill you up and for sweets a huge piece of water melon. The room did have a bath and shower but didn’t use them as we used the hot spring baths, there was free wifi, a safe and good TV. Slept well. First thing in the morning we went to the outside hot bath before going and enjoying a smorgasbord breakfast. In the Rockpool baths they supply all you need , body soap , shampoo, conditioner, hairdryers etc, always a nice experience. Typical Japanese breakfast , no cereals but plenty to choose from. We had trout and puffer fish, plenty of veggies, the scrambled egg was scrumptious. Plenty of fruit, mango , orange and delicious pineapple. While we went of doing a boat ride on the canals the hotel held our luggage for us, very handy. The hotel also has a good gift shop. We enjoyed our stay, gives you a real Japanese hotel experience.

I came to Kyushu at the end of the year and the beginning of the year and looked for a hotel near Fukuoka Tenjin to go to Dazaifu on New Year's Day, but I was here because it was expensive and Yanagawa was cheaper than Tenjin, and the train flight was good. １ night ８３００ yen was cheaper than the center of Fukuoka, and it was convenient for sightseeing within １ hours by train for the distance to go to Dazaifu the next day. It is a few minutes walk from the station to the hotel (the opposite direction to the shuttle bus stop down the boat). The room was also very good for the price.

One of the best service i ever experienced in my life. We were having difficulty trying out the famous yakitori in this town (FYI, you would need to make reservation in advance which we were not aware of), as such we went to check with the receptionist at the front desk at around 11pm on the last night of our stay. The receptionist was very helpful. She tried her best to assist us to call multiple yakitori shops nearby and recommended us the one just opposite our hotel. We placed our order (for take out orders to our hotel) with the yakitori shop that was recommended by the receptionist but unfortunately, we did not collect our order in full as we did not check our orders collected and realized that we missed out on a few items after collecting the orders to our hotel rooms. To our surprise, our order that was not collected was delivered to our doorstep by the receptionist lady. The service experienced was beyond our expectation. We would like to express our greatest appreciation to the staff that assisted us. Thank you very much! どうもありがとうございます。

ONCRI It is read as Oncri. I couldn't stay overnight, so I used the day trip hot spring. ONCRI is the big building you can see right in front of you as you enter the hot spring town of Furuyu. My first impression was, ”It's big!” It's nice that even though it's a large accommodation facility, you can use the hot springs for day trips regardless of the time of day. The price is 1300 yen. Comes with one towel. The hot springs are very warm and perfect for a long soak. There are many different types of bathtubs to enjoy, including a sauna, jet bath, open-air bath, steam bath, barrel bath, and cascading bath, and even I, who was from Karasu no Gyosui, was able to enjoy it for an hour. Lockers for shoes and valuables The lockers in the changing room are either free or 100 yen refundable, so you don't need to pay anything other than the bathing fee. It would be nice to enjoy the cafe in the hotel lobby after taking a bath. I definitely want to stay overnight next time.

Room It was a corner room, so it was a very clean room with all the rivers, seas and castles. I think it's a little wider than a normal twin. Large communal bath I went to the large communal bath without using the unit bath in the room. There was a shampoo bar, the bath was spacious, and the hair dryer in the washroom corner was also relaxed. Previously, a name sticker was attached to the slippers to make it a mechanism that would not be mistaken for others, but it has disappeared, so I would be grateful if you could continue. Welcome Lounge The new service had free drinks and sweets (gummy, marshmallows, etc.). I was surprised not only to coffee, tea and soft drinks, but also beer and sparkling wine. I was able to spend a relaxing time at the open venue. Parking is free and there is a convenience store nearby. I will use it again.
