Iberostar Selection Jardín del Sol Suites - Adults Only

1st night here. So far very impressed with this hotel. Staff all amazing. Big shout out to Alvaro and Ivan in the main bar for looking after us. Dinner tonight although buffet was very good. Nice restaurant. Very good food and selection. So far all staff so helpful and friendly

Our first impression of the hotel as we entered the reception area was WOW! The view across the bay is amazing and all rooms offer that same sea view. The good news is that everything about this hotel is amazing … all rooms are suites with a separate bedroom, jacuzzi bath, separate shower, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and safe plus a balcony where we enjoyed the evening sun. The food at this hotel is exceptional, especially the choice of seafood. There was a good selection of meats and fresh vegetables plus a variety of vegan dishes and desserts. The entertainment overall was good, some better than others, but generally it was lively enough to encourage guests onto the dance floor! The pool area was spacious and (most unusually) never a rush for beds - there were always some available. Last but not least, the staff … they were all so friendly and efficient that it is difficult to name any one individual. This was our first visit to the Jardin del Sol and we are already planning to book again for next year!

We stayed here for a week in September. We stayed in a star prestige penthouse. At first, we were indecisive but I must say the upgrade from the premium room to the star prestige penthouse was definitely worth it. You get your own hot tub and you are on a top level which means you have a good amount of privacy compared to the rest of the rooms. The bed was massive and super comfortable. You get access to the star prestige pool areas which felt very nice and quiet compared to the normal pool area. As a penthouse guest, you can dine in a separate area meaning you never have to queue up to get a table in the morning or evening no matter how busy the restaurant/hotel is. The food was excellent, I was very impressed. The location of the hotel is also amazing and you can get to Santa ponsa beach in about 15 minute walk and the rest of the popular areas of Majorca are no longer than 15 minutes by taxi. The hotel was clean and the staff were amazing. Neide (I hope I'm right about her name, She was a little middle-aged very sweet lady), Atanas and Mohsin looked after us in the restaurant. Zuaina filled up our mini fridge according to what we liked and didn't like bless her. Our housekeeper Badri was very sweet and even tidied our stuff really well. Guiliana was great with her recommendations around the island. Joel and Michaela were not only amazing around the bar but also had awesome photographer skills which we needed lol. Zuzana was also very lovely and had amazing customer skills and made us very comfortable. A few little things that seemed small but made me happy about our stay were that: One, there was a big beach bag/basket in our room which came in super handy to me personally. Two, every time our towel lady came through, she also brought us some really nice chocolates; and three, they were very generous with the mini fridge items. The only downside of this hotel is that it doesn't have its own private sandy beach which wasn't a big deal for us anyway, also the entertainment could have been better in the evenings but again we didn't mind it too much as we went out after dinner most nights. All in all, it was one of our best holidays and we would highly recommend it.

This was our 2nd visit this year to this excellent hotel. The staff from reception to cleaners were really great. Nothing too much trouble. Food and bar fantastic. Reception staff Paulina excellent service and her manager too. We had an issue when we arrived in September with our room and it was sorted no trouble. Cleaners for the room were brilliant. Food in the restaurant was excellent and our waiter Justo was really attentive and helpful. Jonathan around the pool bar was really great. Nothing too much trouble. The whole experience from beginning to end of our stay was wonderful. We can't thank the staff enough and we will be back in June.

Beautiful hotel with an absolutely stunning view from all rooms. Staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. Food and drinks were all high standard and the Japanese Teppanyaki experience was well worth it. The room was spacious but I felt that the huge whirlpool bath was unnecessary as it would take a lot of water to fill this.

Wow. This hotel is fabulous on every level. The service, the staff, the cleanliness. It would be hard to find fault with this hotel. The location is excellent, the restaurants/ bars are not too far from the hotel either. The views from the hotel are spectacular, where the hotel is situated it’s very peaceful. The check in process was very easy and the staff were really helpful and friendly, every member of staff couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was good, a lot of different choices, something for everyone. The room was bright, big and clean. The bar staff were excellent, always coming round to ask if you wanted another drink, very attentive. Overall 10/10 for this lovely hotel. I would come back to Santa ponsa just for this hotel.

The views from almost everywhere in the hotel were fabulous. Check-in This sets the tone and first impressions of the hotel. In my case this was the low spot. We arrived early due to flight time. In other hotels you are greeted at the door and offered a drink. Here we brought all our luggage into reception and took a while to get someone's attention. She directed us across the room so we picked up our luggage and went to the desk. Then she said sorry no go back where you were. We were told to sit down on a sofa and she went off to see someone else. Came back a few minutes later and said “ your room isn't ready” . At this point she hadn't asked our name. She asked for passports and took them away. Came back 5 minutes later and said oh you're star prestige you have to go downstairs. So we moved our luggage a 3rd time. Now I know check in is 3pm but most hotels will let you check in early if the room is ready. If they have a policy of never allowing early check in that's fine but I thought it was disingenuous to imply our room wasn't ready without actually knowing which room was booked. Information In an effort to go paper free they have gone too far. There is no information anywhere about the hotel. If you want a menu you have to scan a QR code and I suspect most people like me just don’t bother. There was supposed to be a programme of activities but I never saw anyone and realised on the last day that you have to go down to the bottom pool. Pool Area 4 pools A large main pool A small indoor pool In the SP area A long pool with hammocks A small infinity pool - heated. Sunbeds in SP are all two person Bali beds. Some are quite old. Some have curtains for shade but those that don't can't be moved into shade. Some are on a grassy slope and you can't sit on them because the cushion slides down. Swim up rooms don't all have the best view and the patio is open. Sunbeds in the main area much more flexible and single ones but there is less shade and it was busier. We never had a problem getting beds at any time of day but this was late September. They brought drinks round the pool the first day but we never got them again, I don't think they came up to the infinity pool area . Star Prestige The extra cost was around £400 per person All inclusive would be another £400 each. I don’t bother with AI as we like to go out for lunch and evenings. Star Prestige includes two more pools and a separate wing of the hotel but the restaurant is the same. On balance I think the extra cost was worth it for the lovely pool area in SP. The mini bar is included with one restock a day (although this was missed several days). At the other Iberostar Selection hotel I stayed in this year there were complimentary snacks, soft drinks, coffee and beer at the pool bar from 10am to 6pm. At this hotel there were only snacks from 11am to 12 and 4pm to 6pm. Odd times - too early for lunch and too close to dinner. Room We had a sea view junior suite in Star Prestige. Lovel

Had a fabulous 3 night stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. From the moment you arrive you are very well looked after. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting with stunning views you could never tire of. The room was spotlessly clean and beautiful. Very modern with everything you would need. Food was incredible with something for all tastes and dietary requirements. The staff were so friendly, and although I would love to mention more, unfortunately I cannot recall all of their names. Adama was informative and friendly at check in, Pracilla who looked after our room, Denise and all of the other pool bar staff in prestige were amazing, a very special mention to Angela who was the happiest , smiliest most hardworking lady we have ever met! I’m sure there was more than one of her as she was everywhere and always said hello! Thank you for making our stay special- we would love to come back!! We stayed in the Penthouse Star Prestige Sea View Suite.
