This is a truly awful hotel. Besides the bed and hairdryer, the room didn't provide anything, not even basic amenities like water and hand soap, which hostels usually provide. However, I generally don't give negative reviews based on these issues. Now, let me describe my experience with a hotel. My parents and I were traveling, and I booked this room for my mother alone, while my father and I stayed at another hotel. Neither of my parents spoke English, so we had to travel together. Also, there's no way my mother could have dragged three suitcases up the levels by herself. To protect my mother's safety, we adopted a strategy of leaving all our luggage in her room at each destination and only taking our own toiletries and pajamas to the other hotel. Every night after our trip, we would chat in her room until around 10 PM, then my father and I would leave. The next morning, we would return to her hotel and leave together. With the exception of this hotel, I've never seen any other hotel giving us any trouble for this. For example, the hotel required my mother to leave at most one suitcase, and we had to move the other, even though our belongings were mixed in three suitcases. Every time I went up to chat with my mother, they demanded my passport be confiscated, even though I had clearly shown the front desk our reservation and check-in records from another hotel. On 22nd September morning, the toilet was clogged, and we requested cleaning. Suspecting there were more people staying, the hotel didn't clean it all day, leaving my mother unable to use the toilet when she returned. Then came the worst. After the dispute, we moved our luggages to our other hotel and demanded the toilet be cleaned immediately. However, the hotel contacted TripAdvisor, fabricating a rumour that three of us were sharing a room. They then removed my mother's pajamas and shampoo in a plastic bag and refused to let her stay. No refund was given, and our pair of slippers were lost. We had to find another place to stay. The next day, the hotel still refused to refund my money. After negotiation with TripAdvisor, the platform refunded me 110 pounds. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had! I take full responsibility for all of the statements I've made. Any organisation or individual with the right to question this can demand that I produce the records of my father and I staying at other hotels as evidence.
