The hotel is located in the tropical rainforest. The food is delicious and the price is right. There are many trails behind the hotel and you can see many animals.

We arrived to the lodge via a National Geographic expedition ship. We spent the morning hiking through the rainforest and then had a snack at the outdoor restaurant. We saw all kinds of bird life and a sloth. The hiking guide was very informative and the staff at the lodge were very friendly, pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved the place, although the first night we were a bit frightened of the jungle noises outside our lodge which was a few hundred yards from reception along unlit gravel paths! The lodge itself is clever designed with two walls being almost entirely netted windows and an outside bathroom which took a little bit of getting used to. It was an incredible structure and design . The beds were very comfortable and clean and the room was fairly well-sealed from the outside environment, although the occasional spider did breach. The food was excellent, we ate breakfast and dinner all 3 nights and loved the fish with basil sauce, chips, and tuna steak. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly at all times. Omelettes at breakfast were great served with gallop pinto, and lovely tropical fruit selection every morning plus fruit juice. The coffee is good, as with most places we stayed in Costa Rica. There is tea and coffee available throughout the day which we enjoyed sitting in the reception area, watching the spider monkeys in the trees directly above.

A great place to commune with and observe nature . There’s no need for curtains as there is no one to see in and no light to shut out. The jungle noises send you to sleep and wake you in the morning. It’s hot but the room is cooled with a fan and fresh air. Toucans,Macaws, squirrel and cappucin monkeys are all around, along with various butterflies including the blue morph. The cabins are kept really clean, food is good and there is a beach 20 minutes away as well as tours etc. Staff friendly and go out of their way to help.

We stayed in the basic room, which was like going to Fred Flintsones!! It was fantastic, a really quirky room, but very comfortable, with everything we needed, including a fridge! The greeting when we arrived was superb. The staff are all absolutely fantastic, and really make you feel completely welcome. Thank you so much to David, Arlin and Mandi who helped to make our stay so memorable. The food was really good, both breakfasts and evening meals, and there was always fresh coffee to help yourself to, whenever you wanted it. The location is superb with many walking trails. We walked to the Canopy Tower 3 times, and each time it was superb. In the grounds we saw a lot of different bird life, and we saw squirrel monkeys at close quarters several times. We would highly recommend staying here if you love the natural world.

Beautiful eco lodge. Very clean. Lovely outdoor rain shower and bathroom. Wooden floors in the bungalows were so pretty. We enjoyed the trails and were able to photograph squirrel and howler monkeys, badger, toucans, water monitors. Location was between Puerto Jimenez and Drake bay which afforded us to experience both places.
