Hotel Residence Sciaron

Lovely hotel, great rooms, very good food in a really lovely location. Drinks at the bar very reasonably priced. It may be a 25 minute walk to the station to take trains to Tropea or Scilla but it’s well worth it to take in these lovely Calabrian towns. It’s only a few minutes down to the public beach area where the hotel had a designated area for guests. A terrific experience all round.

Beautifull view, delicious calabrian meals, very friendly team and family a**osphere. Good place to sightseeing around and peaceful rest. Thank all Hotel Team for an unforgettable end-of-season stay :):)

Everything you can expect from a hotel. The room was more than basic, but being British, we seem to expect a kettle and tea & coffee making kit. The bathroom had all the usual bits. The shower had a large shower head, so a good soaking yo be had. The room has a fridge, a veranda with a table and chairs, with a clothes horse for drying. The pool area is well stocked with both sunbeds and chairs. The bar and pizza bar are easily accessible from the pool. The pizzas are made fresh, and there are about 10 different toppings with prices ranging from €8-€16. The items from the bar are not overly marked up. The dining room has a buffet section, which varies each day, both breakfast and dinner. They probably also do so at lunch, too, but we were half board, so we didn't go to lunch in the dining room. At breakfast, you are presented with a menu for dinner. There are 2 dishes for 1st course, one fish and meat. Sometimes, there is a soup course as well. Again, the 2nd course, the choice is meat or fish. Desserts are cake type and fruits. Drinks are also pre-ordered. All drinks, food, and bar items are added to your bill. There is a shuttle bus to the local beach. They can also take you to the local train station. A return ticket for two to Tropea was less than €6! The only drawback with the location was the lack of other places to visit without walking up or down the hill. Views from yhe pool deck were outstanding, but sea mist meant we were unable to see Sicilly or any of the islands off the coast.

The hotel is in,a beautiful setting fabulous views private beach with shuttle bus the food is brilliant typical calabria the staff are friendly and helpful if you like walking there walks to capo vaticano and a little village nice bars along the way the place is stunning

this HOTEL was above expectation, it is a 4 star hotel all day long , who cares if they do not carry your cases to your room,, first impressions always count to me , this was my 8th holiday this year, the staff were professional , friendly , accommodating and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful , great coffee , freshly squeezed orange juice, everything from yogurt, craisonts all fresh , cold meats , cheeses bread, eggs etc... great pizza at lunch time of fresh pasta dishes from the bar menu , evening meal was excellent every night, anti pasti buffet , then a 3 course meal , I could never manage all 3 course, I am just the greedy type.. great selection of local wines on the menu , I tried many all excellent,, the rooms were immaculate, great hose keeping, the whole hotel was clean , all hard working staff up early , cleaning everywhere to start a new day, pool area was wonderful , the scenery from the hotel across the bay and down to the beach was spectacular both night and day, there was plenty of garden space chill areas, you can play pool outside under cover, there was a play park for small children, the staff were friendly and personable .. There was a regular shuttle bus service to the beach where there was an allocated area for `Sciaron` Guests with deck chairs and umbrellas, and pick up service `throughout` the day... I loved this holiday, and I met such wonderful Guests from Italy and we will all make an anniversary holiday day together next July... This Hotel is peaceful, offers great relaxation comfort and panorama, I wanted to keep it a secret , but I had to give credit where credit is due.. This is a vastly underrated hotel. We have stayed twice, October 2022 and June 2023. On both occasions we had superb rooms which were immaculately cleaned with good facilities. Views from the pool area are fantastic, at the times we were there we felt that we had the pool to ourselves. Staff in the restaurant, bar and reception are polite and very helpful ensuring that we had a wonderful stay. Food was always plentiful with a good selection of local dishes and fresh fruit available. We will certainly be staying again in the future

One of my best choices that I did; is that I spent a holiday on the Hotel Sciaron. It was extremely perfect.. the food was very delicious! The structure has a panoramic view! The service is very very nice and all the persons was very nice

Just returned from a two week holiday at The Sciaron residence and had the most enjoyable holiday. The food was very good and good choice on the menu. I am not a desert person but every night was a wonderful desert offered. The staff were all very pleasant in the restaurant, bar, and reception. Sun beds or deck chairs were plentiful and not reserved early with towels put on them. The only downside is that is nowhere nearby to walk out for a drink, having said that there was enough areas to choose from for your after dinner drink in the hotel grounds. This is our second holiday at the Sciaron and would definitely return again.

Spent two weeks here and it’s simply beautiful. The hotel is perfectly placed on the hill overlooking spectacular views. The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly, accommodating and happy to meet your every need. The pool is great, never busy and there were always plenty of sun beds and chairs free around the pool. We travelled with a 5 year old and it’s very child friendly. Ervin who works in the bar was fantastic. You have to pay residency tax on arrival. The only downsides were the cost of the fridge at 5 euros a day and whilst the food was fantastic, it did get a tad repetitive. One of the best places we have been to and will definitely go back.
