First - the positives! 1. Studio room was quite big and made our stay enjoyable. 2. Beautiful decor. 3. Food was very good. Especially the makluba! 4. Nice store which had the bathing suit I needed! 5. Fun Gymbory for the kids. Clean, with fun games. 6. Spa was lovely and my pregnany massage was great quality.. Negatives: 1. No bathtub in the room.huge shower, but no bath. Traveling with two toddlers in a family room - it was odd. 2. Baby bed and sofa bed not ready when we got to the room. Nor were there enough towels. It was ready quite quickly but had I arrived with sleeping kids I would have been so mad. 3. Heated pool is just not heated enough to really enjoy it in Israel's mediocre winter. It's not 5 c out there, more like 15. Can't be that hard to warm the water more!! 4. There just has to be more food out options in Shabat, especially as the close area doesn't have any decent options. .

Hotel Kedma is a beautiful hotel, located near Ben Gurion house in Kibbutz Sde Boker. I love the decoration of the hotel, the room , the music, the food, and above all, the excellent service we got. Excellent service. Highly recommended . We will come again

I don't remember exactly the date, but had to pick one. Very very nice accomodations Pool was closed but food was excellent. We didn't spend much time there. We came in very late and left early morning. But it was a very nice place. I don't know what else to say, but tripadvisor is requiring 200 characters. So by now should be ok.

Beautiful hotel,friendly attention,excelent breakfast,very restfull stay,activities like night are very recomendable.All in all would come back to this hotel again.

For the supposed premium quality of the hotel I can summarize in one word UNINSPIRED. From the first moment you come in, it feels more like a dude ranch than a premium desert retreat. Came to the Company's yearly retreat, you come in to the hotel, you are told to leave your luggage in the middle of the lobby and go to the pool, or have lunch, lunch consisted of SANDWICHES in the main restaurant... with a very small variety and with no alternative to people that don't eat bread. Then, wait till 14.30 to get our room cardkeys and finally take our luggage to our rooms (remember we are about 400 people that left their suitcases in the middle of the lobby), and on the way to the room and all around the hotel there is this very annoying shanti music playing to loud to be relaxing and its just annoying. At dinner (again, remember, we are in the middle of no ware in the desert), uninspired buffet with nothing attractive to eat, the hummus looks like its been sitting there for a long time, no big variety at the salad bar to choose from, the meats were ok but nothing more and the desserts were just disgusting. The bed was too soft, not verry orthopedic, something you would find in a no-tell motel, wasn't able to rest properly. Israeli Hotels are known for their fabulous breakfasts, I guess being in the middle of no ware, they did not get the memo, I've seen a larger selection of pickled fishes in a 2 star hotel than what was offered here, same for salad selections and not verry organized at the omelet station, serving 400 people that have to be in the buses by 9 for their next activity, only 1 cook. Last but not least, the only well organized station was the coffee barista maned by 2 people in perfect sinc, and the coffee was not bad.

Building in keeping with surroundings (which are quite dramatic and the area is definitely worth visiting), but re the design; shame there’s no view from pool or gardens , buildings surround central courtyard which makes sense for its original purpose , to host an international security conference, and is shady , I guess , in summer but quite cold in winter, and that rooms face out onto the Highway , with noise an issue both between rooms and from the motorway… However, the deal breaker here - avoid this place and look beyond this compound to find charm - is the attitude of the staff.. bar staff spent last half hour of eve too busy cleaning up to be all done and not serving anything well in advance of 11, and there’s no room service after 11 (maybe not before either) .. a hotel in the middle of nowhere, which essentially closes its bar at 10.30 when it says 11 , and thereafter doesn’t have room service to get a beer. Six Senses this is ain’t! Over priced , style over substance, very short of what it promises, just not hospitality of any quality , despite the measured sandstone design.
