This is a very strange hotel. The lobby is beautiful and misleads you into thinking you are at a 5* resort. Unfortunately, there were several things that added up to a poor experience. After check in, we were directed to an extremely cramped set of rickety elevators that would not be out of place in a flat built in the 1970s. This poses a huge challenge if you have luggage. We had to take 3 trips to get upstairs with just 2 adults, a baby, and minimal luggage. We got to the room late at night only to discover two maintenance issues: 1) The room was absolutely freezing as the AC was stuck at the lowest thermostat setting. The electrician informed us that due to a fault, the AC could only be permanently switched on or off through the main fuse box. The rest of my week consisted of making several trips to the fuse box to ensure the room was neither swelteringly hot nor freezing cold. 2) The bathroom sink was clogged when we checked in and we had to call the maintenance team to unclog it. Another minor inconvenience was that the hotel has the Do Not Disturb and Please Clean the Room signs permanently fixed outside the door. Each time, we put up the Do Not Disturb sign, someone from outside used to change this to Please Clean the Room leading to staff showing up when we did not want to be disturbed. All of this was unfortunate because overall, our sea-view room was extremely spacious and clean with modern fittings and a huge balcony. The hotel has no parking. You will need to rely on street parking, which is free but not easy to get. Depending on your luck, you may need to circle the block a few times until you find a spot to park. The biggest disappointment was the dining room, which felt like a factory conveyor belt. The quantity of food available is immense. The quality is immensely disappointing. We stayed 4 nights and each night the food was consistently poor. Moreover, the serving plates and glasses were absolutely filthy. At breakfast, 95% of the ”clean” coffee mugs next to the coffee machine had stains or food particles on them (see attached pic). Same with the ”clean” plates, most of which had food particles or stains on them. Moreover, the staff at the dining room are a bit disingenuous. At breakfast, water is free. At dinner, water is charged - something you need to figure out the hard way as they conveniently don't bother to tell you. The property itself is well landscaped and consists of 3 pools, including one for babies. There is also a kids play area alongside organized kids activities although most of these were directed to older, Spanish-speaking kids. Overall, this hotel could be very good but appears to be quite poorly managed. Definitely not returning.

Apartamentos Siesta I

Just returned from our holiday in Port Alcudia staying at Siesta Apartments. We booked a superior double apartment with a pool view (number 138). The complex is at the top end of the ***** and there are bars, supermarkets and the usual tourist shops close by. The beach at the bottom end of the ***** is around a 20 minute walk. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk with a service to the Old Town and Puerto Pollenca. Our apartment was modern and spacious with two double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, shower room and modern kitchen with built in appliances, full size fridge and freezer, IKEA crockery. We had a pool view and large balcony with table and chairs for eating outside. The apartment was well equipped with flat screen television (only one English Channel BBC news) but we didn’t come away to watch TV), free safe and air conditioning. We stayed during October half term in the last week of the season and the complex wasn’t as full as it could have been. There were always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool. The grounds and pool area were well maintained. We ate a couple of times at the on site bar the Red Lion and the food was good and reasonably priced. There is also a small Spar shop selling basic supplies and holiday essentials. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at JS Sol de Alcudia. The staff was really kind and helpful. They even surprised me on my birthday with a prosecco prepared in our room. Every night there was a show at the bar area, which we also really liked. Breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety, so we could pick what we prefered. I only can recommend this hotel and this area of Mallorca, it’s better than the capital.

We travelled as a family of 23. After staying here several times from 2013. Unfortunately so much has changed and not for the better. The morrocco bar is no longer existent and the kids play park outside the bar has also been removed there is a new park in the fedra blocks but this is a bit of a walk from the main reception. The only place for nighttime entertainment is now the show Garden and with not a great deal for kids to do at night this left them wanting money all night for the fair. Removing the bar was a really bad idea. The food is not bad you will always find something to eat although will be warm only as its buffet meals. All the staff are fantastic tho couldn't fault the staff or the entertainment team. Pool bar barman jose is just a great guy does his job so well he really makes this place enjoyable. And also Deborah at the show garden bar. I love alcudia and love bellevue Unfortunately because of the changes made here I don't think I would return.

What a place…. Can’t wait to book up again!! After a stressful transfer from the airport the arrival at this hotel made everything better…. Glass of fizz for the adults and ice lollies for the kids during check in.. while a member of staff took the case to our room! Hotel grounds and rooms absolutely spotless! Food… something for everyone with different themes each night… chef on a morning makes a good omelette!!! Staff are great… so friendly and really want to do the best for you and go out of their way to make a fuss of the kids! The location is perfect.. less than a minute to the beautiful beach which means it’s quick and easy to pop back for lunch at the food truck!

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Like others have said, I was dropped off at the end of the street with the coach driver pointing at the hotel. I didn't have to wait long for my room but I was only an hour before official check in. The room was clean and tidy, very minimalist, comfy bed with working aircon. No soap in the bathroom only in the shower, no hotel information. The service was mostly good but as a solo female traveller I felt I was invisible. Always given the worst table in the restaurant - near the food and the entrance. The restaurant manager wasn't particularly friendly but the other staff were very good. Drinks were brought quickly, tables cleared efficiently. You have to pay for everything - pool towels, iron, kettle, fan etc. I don't know if this is usual for Mallorca but it's never happened in any other 4 star hotel I've stayed in before. I wanted to phone reception one day as the water was off in the room but there was nothing to tell me how to do it on the room phone. The food was mostly good, although some of the cooked fish which was inedible. Mostly self service apart from odd bits of freshly cooked food. They catered for everyone including a few vegan choices. Bar staff were friendly and the outdoor cafe served excellent, reasonably priced food. 5 minute walk to the beach, 20 minutes to the marina. There was nothing much to see on the 35 minute walk to the Old Town but it's worth the walk.
