My daughter and I stayed in a Jr. Suite and it was very roomy. The hotel was quiet. We did not notice any noise from outside nor in the hallways. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food options. The hotel is a short taxi/hotel shuttle drive to the Old Town. There are restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The surrounding area is safe.

The service is relatively poor. When you check in, you need to issue a unified invoice for the communication of meals, and it will not be approved when you leave the store. Commitment to communicate with the manager to reply to the request by email, and there will be no more reply as a result. No credit, average meals. Very convenient to the airport, and you can arrange shuttle/taxi service to and from the airport through the hotel for $10 each way. They were very responsive through *********** messaging and are so friendly in person. The included breakfast is excellent, and you can also have dinner at a reasonable additional cost—just let them know at breakfast if you'll want dinner that night. I loved my little room! Very cozy, and WiFi worked well. The property is lovely to spend time on. It's warmer here than in the actual city of Quito, so the pool is a nice perk, and they have a quiet, peaceful gazebo that was pleasant to sit and read and journal in. There's a sweet little pond near the main building with interesting-looking ducks. A step outside of the property takes you to nice views of a deep gorge cut by a river. This is a family-run business, and it was so nice to get to meet all of them—including the cat! Not everyone there speaks English, so if you don't know Spanish well, be prepared with Google Translate or similar. I look forward to staying at Hosteria Colibri Aeropuerto again in the future. You're close to the airport, so it's only natural that once in a while you'll hear the loud roar of an airplane engine—but they didn't come by as frequently as I'd have thought, and the sleeping hours were quiet. During the day, it was pretty cool to watch the planes flying overhead.

My wife and I always stay overnight at the Wyndham when we arrive on a late flight to Quito after our travels. We live fairly close-by but we feel like we are extending our vacation for another night when we stay here. The hotel is beautiful and everyone we come into contact with is very nice and provides impeccable service.

When you book, check out the Cathedral of Quito 3 km. It is actually very tired for 100 minutes of walking up and down the mountain road, especially when you go to the old city to eat and watch the night scene. After that, every day around the Old Town Square, a taxi back to the hotel for 4-5 to 5 dollars is also a small expense. In addition, when it rains outside the third day, the room window leaks!

Paid airport shuttle per trip but they put someone else on difference flight/time together and let us wait/late 15mins without telling why. This is wrong. This problem should be fix easily by telling the day before and ask if we ok to wait another person. If pp miss the flight, i dont see this place will responsible for the air tickets and other costs. What if pp on biz class flight and miss the plane? Would hotel pay thousands dollars for customer? Think about it and be Professional! Just use the Google translate and explain to customer before the day!! Hot water got problem, half an hour to fixed.

We booked the premium king room, which was very spacious. The bed sheets felt very luxurious and comfortable. The location is very convenient as it is next to Plaza Foch for meeting with group tours. There are many restaurants close by. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Thank you to Fernando for driving us from and to the airport.

We stayed here in late June after our plans to stay in Old Town were scuttled by Quito general strike and demonstrations. We found the hotel to be closer to a regular Holiday Inn rather than a Holiday Inn Express. The room and bathroom were a comfortable size. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom layoutBreakfast spread was kept hot and fresh and featured egges etc and Ecuadorian items. For the early birds there was a cart with coffee and a few breakfast snacks to tide one over till breakfast area opened. The area has a few local restaurants and a couple of restaurants next door. Many things were closed due to the general strike. But the area is a generally pleasant area with Quito's Carolina Park and Artisinal market with an 20 minutes or so walk. The telefrico a short cab ride away. The gym is on a top floor and one could use the equipment while enjoying the skyline views of quito. A nice way to enjoy a workout. Perhaps the best reason to stay here, however, is the staff. Breakfast area staff went out of their way to be helpful and get our day started on a high note. Front desk staff answered questions about the limited options available to guests due to the situation in Quito with honesty and professionalism and helpful advice. Special recognition for Maria at the front desk and German of the concierge staff for their assistance with friendliness and courtesy and above all understanding of the situation in Quito with the requirements of thir tourist guest. Not necessarily an easy task to balance but they did the job and balanced the various things in a marvelously guest friendly way and not skipping a beat in being helpful and effectively communicating with great command of English.
