Honestly, I would not book with Marival emotions Vallarta again, nor in any hotel of its chain, they have been one of the worst family vacations I have had, since we arrived everything was wrong.
1. They gave us the 2 rooms and they were the wrong ones, although the keys they opened belonged to other guests and we had to leave, when we went to reception to clarify the situation, they didn't even ask for an apology.
2. In the room and the corridors we found cockroaches on several occasions.
3. Our room on 3 occasions out of 4 could not be cleaned since at 5 in the afternoon it was still not done and it was the time we went up to bathe and rest.
4. There are no waiters at the pools and the pool bar closes at 5pm.
6. The lounge chairs on the beach were not cleaned, every day they woke up dirty with sand, plus there were not even enough pool chairs for the number of guests and people ended up sitting on the floor or in the gardens in front of the bedrooms.
7. The a la carte restaurant reservation, you only have the right to 2 when you stay for 5 nights.
8. The waiters in the restaurants are obviously not enough for the number of guests, since their service was not good, they took a long time to bring the drinks or they did not bring them at all.
9. On one occasion in the buffet there was an area to prepare smoothies and they had fruit to choose from, I asked the attendant if he could give me some kiwi even if it wasn't a smoothie and he denied it, he told me that it was only for the smoothies and couldn't drink it.
10. The reservation does not include Wi-Fi so that they consider it, the A** did not work, the elevators were sooooo neglected... Anyway.
I understand that 1 or 2 things happen that you don't like during a stay but I think this was more than just bad luck, it is evident that the hotel does not care about the quality of service, they should not say that it is 5 stars, when it clearly seems to be 2. I recommend you think twice before booking this hotel, the only redeemable thing is the food, congratulations to the chef and the beach.

We were very impressed overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and varied. The weather was excellent and ideal for swimming. We look forward to coming again and will recommend Marivel to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Beach and water was perfect
Bar only opens at 11 am
Could not get a booking for dinner at any of the restaurants
Some areas are only available to members since the resort has a time share component and we did not like this segregation
Coffee was terrible, food was average at best
Staff did not speak English and was not professional at times

Had an excellent time here and would definitely go back! The buffet food was amazing, and no one got sick including our two little kids. The beach is perfect with lots of seating and space and the kids pool was a blast! Lots of excellent staff as well.

This is a very decent property with attentive, professional staff. The location is easy to get to, and to take outings from. The beach is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Get there and to the pools early, as people park stuff to hold the lounge chairs. We had 2 excellent dinners, great breakfasts, and ok lunches. Buffet was almost the only option as the process of booking the nicer restaurant is very limiting (long lines, "no" is standard answer). So for the price point it was "fair". You can pay for higher services and get more food options, but I didn't try this time.

We just finished a weeks stay at the Marival and were overall quite happy. Here are some tips and things to consider before coming. 1) there is live music in the Voltare lobby which is the bottom floor of the Club building, this is very loud and I would suggest bringing ear plugs as it goes on until 11pm. I’m sure it’s very fun if you are watching however I had a 3 year old in bed. Super thankful for a white noise machine. 2) the reservation system for restaurants is a drag. You can get there early around 7 (opens at 8) and hopefully avoid a large line. Other than that it was a great stay. The resort feels so large and there was always something to do. Everyone was very friendly as well. I did lots of tipping and the staff prefers pesos vs American dollars. Great for kids!

I was so very happy with my stay here! The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable and quiet. The pools were awesome and once we figured out the times all the different restaurants were open and closed food was easy to find and plentiful. La Bamba was our go to for lunch and had a beautiful view of the beach, and the cassa Bella buffet had great food for breakfast. Jose at the Amalfi restaurant (which had amazing Italian food) was the best server we had in the restaurants he was so entertaining for our son. The food at the other restaurants was delicious as well. The M&M martini bar was our fave place for martinis, the coconut martini is the best, though the chocolate and espresso martinis were also great, the server Dalia was very attentive and happy to chat with us. The themed days were so fun and had everyday feel like a new adventure. Louis and the entire animation team were so fun everyday with activities at the pool side for kids and adults. The Pizzeria was a great place to grab some snacks too.
If I had a complaint, the hot tub was really cool for the last couple days of our stay, where before it had been super hot and amazing. Not sure why the temperature change??? Also it would be nice if the swim up bar was open later.
