My family had an excellent time at the resort and couldn't have been happier that I chose the 3D2N snorkelling package for them. Few reasons why I say this: - I live in the UK but notwithstanding the time difference, the contact person at the resort (April) was massively helpful and responsive at all times. - My family only eats pure vegetarian diet and the resort made sure that the food was simple but tasty (a rare privilege in that part of Malaysia). - I needed to pay the balance resort fee but because of the time difference, my family reached the resort and it was still 4.30 AM in the UK so the staff allowed them to check in without paying!! I of course paid few hours later. - Beautiful location, great beach and overall a great experience. This is not a paid review and while I would generally not write one but I thought it will be useful for future travellers. Totally recommended.

Bistro/ Restaurant review only - After a long mornings snorkel it is great to have a casual lunch (and ice cold beer) at Pelangi Bistro given its great location in the centre of long beach. The dumplings and sweet potato chips are a great combination and the pizza looked good too. Prices are reasonable and staff helpful. Carry out is possible

Splendid place, island to discover by snorkeling, very relaxed a**osphere, immeasurable quantity and marine species, unique kindness of the resort staff, good quality food. The structure is under expansion, the price also includes transport to Merang and Kuala Terrenganu

Resort located on the liveliest beach on the island, fairly new and clean rooms, super friendly staff and decent food. The service they offer is excellent, including all-inclusive meals and free snorkelling twice a day, with the guys who manage the boat trips being super nice...I highly recommend this resort!

Everything perfect, Deluxe room (new part) clean and spacious. Gorgeous beach. The package includes excursions (unfortunately boats with numerous guests, but very beautiful places) and meals. The food is typically Asian, but good. Very very kind staff! Highly recommended

The hotel is located on a wonderful beach. The staff welcomed us with a short briefing and were always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The snorkelling excursion and all meals are included, we ate quite well for being in Malaysia, in any case paid alternatives are available at the bar. In the evening there is live music at the bar and one evening also a fire show. I recommend this property, the value for money is really excellent.

The published reviews are starting to date and I think that in terms of hygiene and cleanliness it has greatly improved. Nothing to say about the rather small but comfortable room (shower with hot water and separate WC). On the other hand, the cuisine does not correspond at all to Westerners. Greasy and little varied made with donuts and rice. So we almost never eat at the restaurant of the resort. The bar sandwiches are just fine. The staff is quite friendly but not very attentive. As for the dives we opted for Redang because Sipadan is strongly discouraged by the French ministry and it was rather disappointing. A few turtles and sharks but the corals are in a disastrous state in places. Another big black spot of land food for fish and turtles. Indeed the snorkeling center recycles stale bread to feed turtles and fish a real shame a few km from a turtle sanctuary. In summary, go your way.

We purchased a 3-night package on the hotel website which included full board trea**ent, 2 boat trips every day, and a snack upon returning from the afternoon snorkelling. The facility, meals and activities are designed to cater for the Asian clientele, mainly Malaysian and Chinese. Despite being a couple, our room was quadruple, on the top floor of building C, the newest one, with a nice view of the beach. For meals you will be assigned a table, and there you will be brought the plates already composed with the dishes. It is possible to ask for an encore, but since there is no buffet, one has no choice but to eat what is available in the convent, which can put vegetarians in crisis, and condemn vegans to fasting. If you have specific dietary needs, please report them at the time of booking. However, the staff is very kind, and tries to meet the customers.
