The sweetest place run by 2 really nice ladies. Really enjoyed our stay, the peace and the quiet. The breakfast was fantastic- good to see so much local produce. Highly recommended for those people who want something else, something fantastic.

Arrived after a very long, hot, cycle ride via the beatiful villages of Calascio and San Stefano. Warmly greeted, and checked in to very elegant room in testored convent. Lovely grounds to wander around. Had dinner there although main restaurant wasnt yet open, good meat skewers, arrosticini and typical cheese/meat platter along with fabulously house wine. Comfortable quiet night and lovely breakfast, happily stay again if in area.

Although the hotel is located some distance from any town, it is in an excellent position to explore the beautiful mountains of the area. The hotel is staffed by pleasant people and is very clean. We had booked our accommodation with half board, which turned out to be a very beneficial option as it was convenient after a day of exploring the region to return to the hotel and have a relaxing and very tasteful dinner without having to travel again to search for a restaurant.

A lovely scenic place surrounded by beautiful countryside. Perfect break to get away from it all. Very friendly and hospitable host and staff who did their utmost to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights here in July discovering the less known Abruzzo. Although the rooms are basic and not very light, this is due to the fact that we slept in a monk’s cell and creature comforts were not a priority. In any case, you don’t come to Abruzzo to spend time instead; you come to walk, cycle and eat! The gardens have an amazing view of the countryside and mountains and the staff (Luisa and Maria Antonetta) wonderfully helpful with information such as the nearest walking trail

Volevamo trascorrere un capodanno diverso e ci siamo imbattuti in una dimora storica del tutto immersa nel silenzio ai piedi delle montagne di Baresciano. Località mai conosciuta prima. Il Convento è gestito da due donne capaci e a modo come piace a me. Dell'accoglienza ai vari servizi tutto impeccabile. Il buffet a colazione ricco di ogni golosità. Che dire continuate così ..!! Ci torneremo presto magari in primavera laddove il giardino botanico ora ricoperto dalla neve ritornerà a splendere..

Questo posto è semplicemente eccezionale. Non solo è immerso nel verde davanti a paesaggi bellissimi, mozzafiato - ma il convento in sé è estremamente affascinante, una struttura unica dove dormire e visitare. Due ulteriori punti di forza assoluti sono la colazione, eccellente, variegata e con molti prodotti tipici; e Luisa e il resto dello staff, disponibilissime ed entusiaste, chiaramente (e giustamente) fiere di lavorare in quel posto. Pulizia perfetta e posizione ottima, davvero facile visitare tutte le attrazioni intorno partendo da lì ed è una gioia tornare nel convento la sera. Una bellissima base per esplorare la zona e per rilassarsi in montagna, non potremmo consigliarlo di più.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, dank Luisa und Maria Antonietta, die mit ihrem Team allen Gästen einen warmherzigen Empfang bereiten. Die Räumlichkeiten sind liebevoll dekoriert, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den Tea Room, wo sich Gäste jederzeit einen Tee machen können und auf Vorbestellung mit kleinen Gerichten versorgt werden. Es gibt im Konvent keinen Restaurant-Service, aber man bekommt super Tips für Restaurantbesuche in den nahegelegenen Dörfchen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der schönen Umgebung oder Bergtouren im nahegelegenen Naturpark Gran Sasso. Auch die Hauptstadt L‘Aquila ist gut erreichbar, sowie zahlreiche interessante kulturhistorische Stätten.
