Smart Hotel Saslong
4.3/537 Reviews
The hotel is not in the main town of Santa Christina. It is thankfully just off the main Val Gardena road, which is so busy you almost want to call it a highway. Matt was very nice and informative and helpful. The restaurant staff were lovely. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant food is very good. The rooms are TINY! And only one pillow per person and they are so tiny . Also the bath towels feel threadbare! We were in a so-called triple room, but it's actually a TINY double room with a third bed shoved in. Considering the fact that you ski there, there is one TINY cupboard for 3 occupants with winter clothing! The bathroom has a tiny glass ledge for three people to share! Also, there is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as there is no space. Our room had no view. We looked into a wall. Wifi was not great. You have to pay E5 to wash your laundry and another E5 to use the tumble drier. To get to the laundry room, you have to walk outside in the snow! Then walk through the smelly ski boot room!
Hotel Lener
4.4/544 Reviews
Hotel Lener is great for staying near the Austrian border and enjoying the beauty and peace of South Tyrol. The structure is well maintained, the outdoor spaces are liveable, and there is also a playground for the little ones and an indoor games room. The swimming pool is a bit small but nice, the sauna must be booked. You can access the wellness area from early morning to evening after dinner. The really special thing, for train enthusiasts or luxury travel enthusiasts, is the possibility of sleeping in a suite set up on an original Orient Express carriage. The details are very accurate and outside you can enjoy a small terrace and a corner of the private garden. To give to someone special!
Como Alpina Dolomites
4.8/550 Reviews
We stayed for 3 nights and could of stayed longer. Despite the natural scenery and location being the second to non, the hotel itself is exceptional in all areas including cleanliness, location, views, staff and food. Also the spa and gym facilities are excellent. I would highly recommend taking a e-bike tour around the area with one of their highly trained guides. Totally worth the money, you will see so much more in a short period while getting some great exercise.
Hotel Europa Splendid
4.2/544 Reviews
Hotel Europa Splendid is located very close to the city center, just at the beginning of the pedestrian area in Merano. They have a sort-time parking space just in front of the hotel for loading/unloading luggage, and they have convention at reduced prices with the parking at the Thermal Station, and it's just a few minutes walk from the parking to the hotel. My room was very good - not very big, but with excellent furniture, and a private balcony with a good view on the city and the Alps. The room was enough insulated from outside noise, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very good, too. Breakfast was exceptionally good, with several choices available. Staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, a very good experience!
Hotel Rosengarten
4.5/544 Reviews
Part of a cycling tour and only stayed one night. Whilst in a comfort room the standard was exceptionally high, hammock, binoculars, clothes line in bathroom to name a few. A couple of personal requests were met for our arrival. The breakfast is continental style, of high quality. We had previously ate a large lunch en route and wish we had eaten dinner in the restaurant. Fully recommend.
Emma Historic Hotel
4.4/538 Reviews
The hotel was only open near the train station (Villabassa station) which was imposed as a compulsory choice at the time of booking but then revealed a very happy choice. We have the “nostalgia” room furnished with modern furniture combined with more modern furniture. All extremely functional and enjoyable. Excellent furniture and the functionality of the bathrooms, far beyond what is expected in a 3 stars. Sorry that the “historic” of the building does not allow the installation of an elevator for the upper floors: reaching the 2nd floor with a helicoidal scale (beautiful and characteristic) is not easy for people with reduced mobility. The hotel is very good and has some typical features. The overflowing of local and/or home-made products (marmelade, butter and honey) in conjunction with similar industrial products is very appreciated. Useful point of reference for any future travel.
