Location was very good, 2 minutes from the motorway and 5 minutes from the city. Nice view from the room overlooking a little pond and farmland. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Would stay again!

Says has a pool, no pool… stuffy rooms bed and wash basin full of hairs… not some where I would stay again

The Tickled Trout Hotel was a great hotel. We only stayed 1 night, room was bigger than I thought it would be. Only 1 problem was that the bathroom needs a complete revamp because it is extremely dated. There was only a trickle of water from the shower head. Eventually we got hot water, it took ages to come. The rooms are a little dated but they r cute.

A hotel with a beautiful rural background, complete facilities, clean and tidy, a little inconvenient is that it is next to the expressway on the outskirts of the city, if you don't have a car, you can only wait for the bus every few minutes. Attached is the window view of the hotel.

Easy to access location. Nice building inside and out. Lovely staff. Inside layout and signage a bit confusing. Need a code to leave by vehicle, but not to enter (make sure you remember the code, or just ask reception if you forget). Sometimes had to wait for reception staff if it was quiet. Room was excellent: clean, functional and nice!

Well placed just off the motorway
Rooms well priced
I don’t like having to pay an extra £13 to ensure a refundable status for the booking
The lift has a strange odour as does the 3rd floor around the lift area
The atmosphere of the hotel is slightly underwhelming and the staff differ in service level provision

Slow check in and room was poor, the lighting was poor it was only lamps and they weren’t plugged in

Excellent venue for business meetings combined with quiet surroundings and close proximity to Preston town centre; good transport connections and great food too. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is ok. Had room overlooking the river which was nice. However we booked a double room and the bed was uncomfortable, as dipped in the middle. Room was tired and old. Cooked breakfast was lovely and staff were all friendly and helpful.

Hotel externally looks very tired.
First room was not made up. 2nd room could have been cleaner ( hoover and dust)
Bar service poor.
Breakfast service excellent but cooked food was below par.

The staff were excellent in fact couldn’t have been better .
The hotel location is fantastic for traveling up or down the m6 .
I had a river view very nice .
The hotel is very very tired but that was reflected in the price .
I thought the dinner and wine to be London price not good value at all .
My god the room temperature was so hot sauna standards couldn’t put down or open the window basically if they could put the heating down they could half the price for eating .
