Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town

Jewish Quarter Prague|0.09km from Vinok Sculpture (Ukraine Mothers)
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 12 nights at Hotel Hostal and we couldn’t have been happier. First, let’s start with the location. The hotel is just steps from several excellent restaurants and shopping. You’re a few blocks away from old town and a few blocks away from New town and the Jewish Quarter. You’re right around the corner from the river and Saint Agnes convent which is definitely worth a visit. As far as accommodations, the place was immaculate and always so welcoming. Our room was a really nice size. We were on the fourth floor, in Room 43 and actually had a bathtub. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows andthe sheets. The towels and the toiletries are of excellent quality. The place itself has old world charm, but yet with modern amenities. There is an elevator so you don’t have to worry about climbing all the stairs if you don’t want to. On the second floor there’s a beautiful outside patio to sit take in fresh air. The windows work great in the room so we could have fresh air during the day, as well as at night. It was very quiet. We didn’t hear any internal or external noises while sleeping. The breakfast was full of options and I can’t imagine anybody wanting anything more. And finally we can’t rave enough about the staff, they were fantastic! Tom checked us in and had a great sense of humor. He. was a wealth of knowledge for our travels during the day and Sofian, was very helpful and friendly also. Because of their help, guidance and suggestions on where to go, what to see and where to eat we were able to experience Prague in a way we could have only hope for. Thanks to Hotel Haštal our trip was amazing.

This is my 5th visit to Hotel Salvator. It is a 2* hotel that delivers a 4* experience within that standard. The hotel is centrally located a short walk from the Namesti Republiky metro station. It can be reached easilly from the airport in an hour by taking the 100 bus from the terminal to the Zlicin metro station on the yellow line B. You then take the metro to the Namesti Republiky stop. If you are aged over 65, please be aware that all travel by bus, tram and metro is free and you need only carry your drivers license or passport in case of inspection. No tickets are needed. There is a selection of room types available, ranging from singles to family rooms. All are traditionally furnished and clean. Breakfast can be added to the reservation for a modest charge and the food provided is plentiful and has a good variety. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The a**osphere in the breakfast room is traditional Bohemian and very attractive. There is a lift to the upper floors. The price of rooms is fair and a great bargain off season. The only suggestions I would make would be to find a way to keep the fried eggs fresh (or to have them cooked to order). With regards to the rooms, these are very well heated in winter. I was in double room 7 and the heating in the entrance way could not be turned off, making it very hot for sleeping. There were attic style windows that could be opened and that did cause the temperature to drop to a comfortable level. As some rooms are directly above the street, they are only quiet if the windows are closed. If open, the street noise is very loud as Truhlarska is a very active street. Late night revellers are also very inconsiderate. The rooms above th street at a lower level are very noisy. My suggestion would always be to request a room at the opposite side of the hotel to the street.

Old Town
We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. The hotel is in a great location - you can walk to anything - on a quiet street in the Old Town area of Prague. Very comfortable, old-world charm: high ceilings, large windows that open, grand staircase. Bathrooms are recently updated and the bed was comfortable. Furnishings are more formal than modern, but it goes with the overall hotel atmosphere. Breakfast was included and had a variety of choices, including an automated espresso/coffee bar. Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a hotel in this area of the city.

The location of this apartment was perfect! Very close to the old town and could easily walk everywhere. It was about a 15 minute drive to the zoo which was amazing! The room was very spacious and clean but a little dated and could do with a slight freshen up. The bed was two singles pushed together when a double was requested and only 1 pillow each. Overall, was happy with the stay and would go back again.

I wanted a place that was centrally located so I could walk around for most of my visit. Residence Bene was exactly what I was looking for. Not only was it in a central location, the breakfast they served was good. They offered a good selection of food including a couple of hot options. I didn't interact with the staff much, but when I did, they were very friendly. There is a small bar that is open in the evening, but I didn't use it so I can't say anything about it. The room was a nice size and clean. They use actual keys for the rooms which are also used to turn on the electricity for the room. It was great because I always knew where I left my key. The bed was firm, but I prefer my bed that way so I slept very well. You could hear a bit of noise from the hallway, but overall, I found it quiet enough I was able to fall asleep without the use of ear plugs. They do have quiet hours and I found that people typically followed the rules. All in all, I would stay here again the next time I come to Prague.

One night in a single room of 700, but the size and facilities are not worth the price, the only advantage is that the breakfast is very rich. The rooms are small, the soundproofing is very poor, the old wooden doors and metal keys are used, the overall facilities are old, even if it is 500 nights, I feel expensive, but the location is better, and the Charles Bridge in the Old Town Square is still Nearly, but this advantage can be replaced by other hotels. In short, the single room of this hotel is not worth 700 nights, and it is very inconsistent with the picture given by the hotel. The bed is very small and very short. The whole room is under the table and behind the door. Two jacks are also very inconvenient and are not recommended.

In this era of tight labor markets, it is truly remarkable to find this kind of service. From the moment you book your trip, they reach out to help with anything you might need including airport transportation, activities, dining recommendations / reservations, etc. When I arrived at the hotel, Elena greeted me with a warm smile and a cold beer. We sat in the lobby where she checked me in, provided me with a map so I could get my bearings and offered suggestions and reservation for restaurants and excursions. It was so welcoming. There is someone to greet you and offer a drink or any help every time I returned to the hotel. The hotel is in walking distance to everything you will want to do in Prague. I was assigned to a room on the 4th floor (highest floor). The ceilings were very low and window was small. I am very tall and banged my head several times on the chandelier. The next day they had another room available on the 2nd floor with 10 foot ceilings and large, beautiful windows. They transferred me there. I highly suggest you get one of these rooms. Will definitely stay here next time I return.
