We extended our stay by one day having decided to move on from the previous game reserve which did not suit us and were so glad we did so. We stayed in Room 9 in the ”2010” building across the road from the main building. With it's own lounge, dining area and small kitchen facility and a small swimming pool. The room was spacious and comfortable with large bathroom with tub and separate shower as well as a small garden too. Absolutely delightful. The hotel has a wonderful collection of various forms of art and there is a lovely book detailing all the pieces. Breakfast was good and we ate several times in the Jazz restaurant (see separate review). Staff friendly and helpful and it is only ten minutes from the airport. Highly recommended.

This used to be one of the best hotels in Port Elizabeth, but it has lost its charm. Checking was a nightmare and no manager in sight. The receptionists are very incompetent and have no manners whatsoever. They need to be reminded as to whom is paying their salaries. Breakfast service was poor, with chipped plates and coffee cups being given to us. For the price paid and what I received, I would have assumed I was in a hostel. Just left and went to wimpy where the service and meals were on standard. Will never be back and will ensure that my company books elsewhere next time.

We loved our recent stay at Cape Flame! It was clean and beautiful with the most comfortable bed! The staff is also exceptional- friendly and attentive. We enjoyed breakfast at the guesthouse everyday and ate several evening meals as well. Everything was delicious. We also loved that the guesthouse is well located, a short drive from anywhere in town and only a 5 minute walk to the beach! Home away from home, the place is perfect, I can't fault it really. The Wi-Fi perfect, you even forget there is load shedding. This is my preferred place always when I am in PE. The Staff is very kind, I love the old lady, our flight was in the afternoon, and she allowed us to stay a bit longer. Everything is perfect and I highly recommend the place to anyone who needs comfort away from your home.
