Stayed two weeks. The rooms are decently clean but the area is very noisy and all that sound comes right inside. It’s worse in the “apartment” style units with cooking facilities. They’re in their own tower and have two extra windows, plus the door opens to outside. As for the cooking facilities, they don not have a microwave as advertised and they provide no cookware or dishes or utensils - but they will promise to get them sometime in the future. They’ll also promise to get clothing hangers, but never actually will. There is no laundry on site as advertised. Not in the room and not as a service.
Night staff are rude, day staff are friendly if unhelpful. Night staff also cannot read Spanish well or understand any English, so be prepared to speak in only Spanish after 7 or 8pm if you need anything. The pool is sketchy and it and the main floor lobby area are sp**** and unwelcoming. Do not expect to spend any time outside your room unless you’re leaving the hotel. There is a mall across the street. It’s likely one of the most expensive malls in the country, where you will find a very sketchy looking laundromat. The grocery store there is good for selection, but the prices are mismatched or simply untrue on most items we purchased. Air conditioning at the hotel worked very well and the wifi worked well most of the time. Bring your own Netflix account if you plan to use the tv at all.
