The Grove at Pismo Beach

Needed a one day retreat from some personal matters. Very emotional, checked in around 6 on showered, went out for food and came back around 11is. Ate grabbed the other key went to car to get my night bag and door key would not work. Went to front desk, they left early sign said closed Libby from 3am to 7 am.Asjed person in driveway to call desk no answering service. No emergency maitnence or any type of number provided. Living quarters insight was empty. I attempted prying open window, no luck. Had to sleep in my vehicle with no blanket no phone. In the morning front desk called management and alls they would do was refund the 3rd party, I asked if they could give me a room for the night since I was in my car n slept only 2 hours, would not even do that. Tried to lie and say they were full after front desk already offered to give me a room. It was the weekend and it was double so they did not want to loose money wasting it in taking care of a customer they left out in the cold. Dirty ran down room, coffee still in top of maker wet. No form of security and no concern for female alone licked out in the cold dark parking lot, and yet they value customer safety. .hmmmm

While the hotel, and the room itself, had a very recent remodel and was very clean and nice, the hotel's WiFi was terrible and TV only provided streaming services where you had to use your own account.

We have stayed here same time last year we loved the pool it was heated and everything but this time it was getting remodeled, ok that’s fine but when we got to the room we THOUGHT everything was fine at first until it was time to shower the water was FREEZING cold, I had layed down was fixing the pillows THERE WAS BLOOD ON THE PILLOWS so that was the last straw. I went to the front desk told him about the shower he said “it’s an old building you have to just run the sink” and for the blood on the pillow he literally just took the pillow and wrote a note . He was RUDE ! I’ve honestly never complained about any hotel but this one was just wow … very disappointing.

I like staying here because the staff is nice, the rooms are basic for the affordable price, but the construction sometimes is quite the inconvenience. Knowing it advance the pools aren’t available would be nice to know. Rooms look updates but the craftsmanship is a bit messy. Our towel hanger fell off when I went to dry my hands. Like how? Anyways. Since they can’t offer breakfast right now their morning breakfast bags are decent. Overall a 3/5. It’s the price for the location and amenities.

The Hotel / inn is so lovely . It has a beautiful vibe ..the amenities that matter to me didn't disappoint. The heated pool / Jacuzzi are clean and open till 10 pm. Perfect for relaxing after exploring. We will come back .

Pool had dirt ring and both days stayed there the pool and jacuzzi had dead flies all over it. I was told that the jacuzzi waterfall turns on at 1-2pm I was in there from 2-330pm and still was not on, even when I went back to the pool at 530pm. Remote was broken apart and tv did not work. Had dirty work tools laying around the room
