My experience here at The Sam is always amazing. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgable, and they take the time to get to know you. Staying here makes me feel like I don't even want to leave after being here for a weekend or a night. Facilities are clean and highly operable as well. All in all for my wife and I we give this place a 10/10. I book the same room every time we want to get away, and for this holiday season we decided to get rid of the kids and enjoy ourselves!

Please don't expect this Curio Collection hotel with Curio Collection standards in East Asia, it's not the same thing at all!
The room is small, not to mention the features (this is funny, isn't the main feature of the Gerry Collection series?), even the basic aesthetics can't be achieved, from the lobby to the room are stingy, the general domestic home is like better than that.
There is no service at all, the only thing the hotel staff will do is to take your ID card coldly, and then coldly give you a room card. In fact, I shouldn't call this thing a hotel, not even a homestay, it's just a low-level rental unit, the kind that the landlord can no longer contact after getting the key. Or let me give you an example: I called the lobby at 1:00 a.m. to ask if there was a toothbrush, and he said yes, and told me to come down and get it myself. He didn't want me to go down by myself, he said yes, I said I had already groomed and changed into pajamas, could I trouble him to bring it up, he said, "No way!", and he didn't think of any other way. Finally, at one o'clock in the morning, Put on your coat and go down...
I thought that maybe the staff member was unprofessional that day, so I said this in the review email sent by the hotel. Who knows, the hotel ignored me, which made me more believe that the staff was fine, he just followed The request of the hotel to do business, the fault is this hotel.

There was only one person working the front desk and she was on a call, so I waited about 5 minutes before even being recognized. Once she put the customer on hold, she informed me that she did not have a reservation for me. I showed her my confirmation number and then she was able to find it. Once I was given my room keys, I went to my assigned room, opened the door and there were already people in that room. There were clothes, shoes and luggage in the room and the TV was on. Thank goodness I didn't see anyone or anything going on.

Good hotel however room description was a city view which was not the case for my room. However, the hotel is really nice.

The room itself was great. But the area around the hotel is not the best and the dining options are limited so have to do Uber Eats because not safe to walk to other dining. Staff were cordial but not overly helpful. Valet was very expensive and not many options for parking. Better options downtown for the price.

the staff was wonderful and very welcoming. the bed was really nice, and i liked the natural lighting the rooms offered. however, for the price, and lack of self parking i found some od the accomodations to be lacking and outdated. for example, the tv was borderline retro. the lack of a mini fridge was a bit annoying. i understand this is to encourage using the restaurant in the hotel, but i wanted to come back to cold water after a night out lol.
small annoyances for a relatively chill stay. i thought it was fun, but don't think we will be returning due to price and parking alone.

Valet parking was $45… only sit down and order breakfast option. Dirty bathroom with poor design. Beds were more like twins than queens.
