This ranch is wonderful. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left everything was amazing. The entire staff goes out of their way to make sure your trip is great. The food is amazing. The wranglers are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly (thank you Grace and Terry). There are a wide variety of activities for everyone. We can not wait until we get the chance to return.

My wife and I are part of a travel group and I was excited to try an experience totally out of the box from our usual vacations. The ranch is beautiful, clean, but the true gem is the staff. Their customer service rivals that of Disney. Five stars!

What a fun team outing! Started with a delicious BBQ lunch and then there was horse back riding and archery, followed by snacks and drinks. This is a family owned working ranch, here since 1965 and they have other locations throughout AZ and other states. Shane was our archery instructor and Rachel sort of headed up the coordination of food/drinks so they stand out but the entire staff was great and everyone took very good care of us. The dude ranch experience was a first for me and our group really enjoyed the experience and the service.

TL;DR: Terrible, unsafe experience for horseback riding, with actual injury as a result Very unfriendly management and wranglers Nice enough for families with children, but other places probably offer better value for money. Long: This was sold as a horseback holiday - but the horseback riding was terrible. The slow rides were mind-numbingly boring: head-to-tail riding, no changing of the order, with 1 unfriendly wrangler in front who couldn't be caught dead having a simple conversation with the riders in his group. The fast rides were downright dangerous. People who had never ridden a horse could join if they passed a "test" - which resembled rodeo riding more than actual loping (the instructions were clear: lean back and hold the horn - much like rodeo). One elderly guest had blisters on his hand from holding the horn so hard - as he had never ridden before. Since there were so many inexperienced riders, they endangered us. During an almost-gallop, the rider in front of us couldn't get her horse going, and the one behind us couldn't keep him back, so we were sandwiched in between. A fall of either of them would have meant an accident for us. When we asked for a slower lope, we were ignored. During the mountain part of the ride, the inexperienced riders were often out of sight, so the wrangler could not keep an eye on them. The next day we went on a full day ride. During this frantic lope, someone’s stirrup in our group just came clean off, luckily without accident. Afterwards, we had a nice trek, however, during lunch, we overheard some wranglers and a guest talk. The guest wanted to keep the horse he was riding - the horse I rode the day before, but didn’t like the gait of. The wranglers then commented that the horse was actually scheduled “for another guest” (i.e. me), but that he did not like him. Although not inappropriate, the way they spoke was clearly derogatory. Back on the trail, we discovered that our wrangler was about 19 years old and that she had (almost) never ridden a horse before joining WSR as a volunteer a mere 7 months ago. Sending such young, inexperienced people out, is just irresponsible. On the way back, my girlfriend's horse started acting up, constantly trotting, even though my girlfriend held him back. At some point, he was just trotting in place. We know how to deal with that, but didn't have the time: the wrangler ignored the issue, until I rode up to her and spoke out, about an hour after the annoying behavior started. We quickly came to understand, however, why he acted all barn sour: once on ranch property, after 6 hours of riding without food for the horses, they started loping - fast, and long, in essence just teaching the horses to be barn sour. Back in the room, we discovered that, due to the poorly behaved horse and ill-fitting saddle, my girlfriend had a significant friction burn on the back side of her leg - which she never had prior in years of riding. The next day, we went to the reception

We loved our experience. Everything from the pickup to the food, the wranglers. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The horses are well cared for. They have a horse for every style rider. Safety is important, they check stirrups and comfort of riders at multiple points during the rides. The food is very good for serving a large group. The gradens are beautiful and the ranch pristine. This is especially lovely for families. The spa and the pool are welcome after riding. We only saw smiling faces (staff and guests!).

This Ranch is perfection….a “TRUE” western experience in an amazing, picturesque environment. It is owned and run by the True Family! Pride of ownership is prevalent everywhere. You feel like family upon arrival and that feeling continues throughout your entire vacation. (I spent seven incredible days January ’24.) I’ve also now made “ranch” friends with other visitors who make an annual pilgrimage to White Stallion. Yes, I am already booked! Peace and quiet….”unplug”, read a book, enjoy the spa, ride happy beautiful horses two/three times a day….(LOVE THAT) the heated outdoor pool……the gym and arts and crafts classes. So many other activities to choose from and the food is GREAT! Check out their website. It’s LUX without the pretense = PRICELESS! Also, nightly entertainment. They provide the perfect getaway to recharge your soul and self! One other event to mention, I feel the weekly Rodeo is a highlight. It brought tears to my eyes when Old Glory was galloped around the corral at full throttle by a young wrangler while “I’m proud to be an American” played on the PA system! Where do you see that? It felt as if I stepped back in time. I am so happy I found this slice of paradise. A big THANK YOU to the True Family for keeping the American experience alive and well in Tucson! I’m already looking forward to my next visit in January….unless I simply can’t wait until then! LOL….Happy Trails!

The staff here really make the experience. Not only do they offer an authentic dude ranch experience with horseback riding and roping they have added amenities to help you unwind and relax including a hot tub pool and game room. The food was well prepared and aplenty. If you visit Tucson, I'd highly recommend stopping by if not to stay over to have a meal and visit their gift shop. Don't forget your boots and cowboy hats 😉

What an amazing trip! The service was top-notch from the airport pick-up to the airport drop-off and everything in between! We had so much fun doing ALL the activities and interacting with all the staff and other guests. Jared at the front desk was a joy to see every day. Sophia was a great wrangler and teacher. Daniel was great with the guns. Hunter was patient and so helpful. And all of the staff in the dining room were so nice and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, the property was gorgeous and the horses were great! The All-American plan worked great and never had to leave the ranch! Looking forward to returning and seeing my favorite horse!

We just left our 5 day trip to White Stallion. This is something we've wanted to do for years and finally did it!! I wish we'd gone sooner and I definitely want to do it again. We arrived on a Sunday evening and Jeff picked us up at the Tucson airport. Check in was easy and we were given a tour of the facility and told how the various programs worked. Our room was well furnished and clean. No television, but there was wifi, so if you have a tablet you could watch something on there. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. I felt like everywhere I looked there was something beautiful to see. The gardens are stunning. You'll see lots of lizards, jack rabbits, roaming cattle, and maybe a snake or two -we didn't see any rattlers, but did see a king snake. We got the full package - which included three meals, deserts, snacks and tea/lemonade/coffee/water throughout the day. We didn't have any alcohol, but it was there and purchased using the honor system if you wanted something. Looked like a pretty large selection of wine, liquor, beer and margaritas. There was also soft drinks and bottled water that you could purchase. You'll need the water, so bring a refillable bottle if you don't want to purchase it. We bought 33 bottles of water in 4.5 days! Breakfast was always good. They did a continental breakfast, plus a breakfast buffet, a daily breakfast special and some made to order items. We also did the breakfast horse ride, where you ride out on your horse and have breakfast in the desert. Lunch was a variety of cold-cuts, salads, and a hot entree or two. Dinner was buffet style with a choice of one to two entrees plus sides. I wasn't overly impressed with the meals. Nothing grand but decent enough. They had a lot of people to feed and were very organized about it and always had plenty for everyone. But when you're feeding that many people, don't expect gourmet meals. The desserts were really good though. They were accommodating - my husband doesn't like a lot of 'different' foods, so if he asked for plain ice cream that's what he got! The horseback riding was amazing! I highly recommend the lesson, which is not included in the price. But at $20 for an hour, it was affordable. We have ridden before, but it was nice to get some tips to make us more comfortable in the saddle. You should especially do the lesson if you're planning on a fast ride. We actually did the lessons twice. Gabe is awesome. Actually, ALL of the wranglers that we met really know what they're doing. They maintain safety, they're friendly, they take good care of their horses and they're always very attentive to the guests. Some who stood out were Harrison, Carol, Bella and Sophia (there were more, but I'm bad with names, so please know that you all made an impression). My horse for the week was Mesquite - they pair you with a horse that is yours to ride for the week, and you keep the same saddle during that time too so that you
