Upon arrival at the hotel the staff were friendly and inviting. We were checked in and given information about breakfast and room service. We were then taken to our villa by golf buggy. We were shown our villa and the various areas and controls for them and then left to settle in. We were also told the mini bar contents was free and refreshed each day (2 cabs of coke, 2 water, small pack of oreos and a kitkat). At first glance it is a lovely hotel and the pool jets were fun. On closer inspection it became disappointing and didn’t improve, more on that in a sec. At breakfast there was a menu to select one item from and the portions were massive and tasted very nice. There was also a large buffet selection you could help yourself to. Fresh tea and coffee was available upon request. On arrival we advised we had an early morning which would start before breakfast opened. We were offered a takeaway breakfast that would be waiting at reception for us. The next morning upon arrival it was apparent that the order had been forgotten. Breakfast had opened by this time and we had to quickly shove some food down us while our driver waited for us. That evening we enjoyed our pool but it wasn’t in the cleanest condition with debris at the bottom and leaves floating on the surface. On the first evening after check-in, I was walking around the villa and caught the bottom of my foot on a sharp part of the wooden floor. I did advise the staff the next morning on our way out for the day and it was fixed by the time we returned. However the injury did cause pain and irritation for the remainder of the holiday as it was on the bottom of my foot. Upon returning from our first day out we found that our room had been cleaned but they had removed our dirty towels and not replaced them with new. I had to contact reception to request fresh ones. They had also turned off the air-con that we had left on to ensure the room was cool when we returned. The following day I decided to have a bath to sooth my sun burn and found that the tap to the bath was broken and there was just a small stick pointing out for me to use to control the temp and flow. We also realised that we were lucky enough to have booked a villa with a pool, as the hotel does not have a communal one and not all villas have there own. For the rating of the hotel and the price we paid it was a little disappointing. The staff remained cheerful and helpful for the duration of our stay but the issues did dampen our experience.

Reserved the Deluxe Seaview Room for 5D4N with my husband. From check in till check out, the service was exceptional. The receptionist (Mon) was fluent in english and escorted us to our room on the 5th floor. Unlike other hotels around, there’s an elevator in this hotel so you don’t have to worry about climbing the stairs. The bellboy also helped carry our luggage into the room and load our luggage into the car when we check out. Lobby: Cozy, with many sofas, pool table & foosball table. Room: Spacious room with partial sea view from the balcony. It also feels great to sleep on the cozy king bed after a full day tour. The TV only has cable channels, but we’re mostly outside so it wasn’t much of an issue. All the light switches & alarm clock is by the bedside which is very convenient. Smoking: They provide ashtray to smoke on the balcony. Bathroom: Spacious & clean, with bidet spray. Shower area & bathtub is separated. The water heater is easily adjustable and heats up very fast. Toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel & toothbrush is provided. Breakfast: Buffet style breakfast with Asian & Western cuisine. If you’re a muslim, do note that there are some pork dishes. You can avoid eating the porridge/bacon/meat. Surrounding: The hotel is situated on top of the hill away from the hustle & bustle. Hourly shuttle van to Kata Beach is provided for free. It’s possible to walk to the beach as it’s only 5 minutes away. However the slope is quite steep. There’s so much to explore while walking. Kata Walking Street & Karon Plaza/Beach is within walkable distance from the hotel. There’s also restaurants, ATM, minimarts, clothing stores & bars nearby. Central Phuket & Jungceylon is around 20-30 minutes by car. It takes about 1-2 hours to get here from Phuket International Airport depending on the traffic. Activities: VR games, yoga, cooking class & underwater scooter rental are available at additional cost. Staff: Very polite, friendly and fluent in English. Always greeted us with a smile. The restaurant staffs are very service oriented & housekeeping did a fantastic job in making up our room everyday. Cons: Insects on the balcony, especially lizards at night. Just close the balcony door & it won’t enter the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Rested from 4 to 14 February. When they give you a room, you have to ask, it seems to me ideally the 2nd building (the 1st building has balconies close to the pool, and people rest there in the evenings), we were settled in the 4th, and it’s true, it’s a very long walk. The biggest negative is mosquitoes. Well, at night you can’t sleep with an open window, in the evening they already fly in when you relax on the balcony, and then at night they bite and squeak in your ear. Moreover, they meet already at the reception, that is, this happiness does not depend on the location of the room. Another minus is the location of the air conditioner (and all rooms are the same), it blows right in the face (hanging opposite the bed), in our room it also worked crookedly, the smallest mode started with 4 divisions, in general, all night I turned it on then turned it on, so as they froze or suffocated from stuffiness. Well, the heavy bed had to be moved away from the air stream. Breakfasts are meager, monotonous, and most importantly, if you didn’t come early, but came as the bulk in the region of 9, then empty leftovers. You have to ask for coffee to be added, sweet buns to get from the bins, the rest you don’t feel like eating at all. Cleaning quality is average, more upset that the girls who clean do not understand at all either in Russian or in English, in general. You ask for toilet paper, she pulls cotton pads for you. By the way, with regards to toiletries, the hotel does not have any shampoos and detergents, even just wash your feet, and then soap that gives a mini piece, if you lather it, you won’t wash it off. You must either bring or buy. The pros are few, but they are there. The room is not on the sunny side, that is, the sun will not shine into it at all. But the corridor to the room is just in the sun. As for the silence, behind the door on the other side there is a road along another hotel, where the balcony below is a technical road of a silver breeze. In general, in the morning trucks serving cars are buzzing. But the hubbub and parties are not heard, there is no such thing here. Wi-fi regularly flew out, there is a single password for all buildings, you need to find a worker by typing, we had the 4th building, but the wi-fi worked well from the 3rd. And so many people in the evening with phones were sitting at the reception or by the pool, so there were definitely difficulties with the Internet. The safe is free (we were warned on the bus that there is a paid one somewhere, and you will find out about it when you check out). In general, the location of the hotel is more or less. Well, 10 minutes walk to the beach. By the way, the beach was upset by the fact that at that time plankton bit (do not forget to take histamine), and closer to our departure, jellyfish became more active, and decently spoiled the appearance of the vacationers.

Mom Tri's Villa Royale

Kata Beach Phuket|1.21km from M.G.Collection
Three years ago, after a month on business in northern Thailand, my husband and I stayed at this resort for a week. Choosing here was more or less accidental. We wanted a quiet beach and we felt like paradise in our hearts. The scenery is so beautiful and the staff is great and near perfect. The room was very large, beautifully decorated and there was a quiet beach. We loved everything here, so we decided to come to Thailand for a month to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. And come back to Mom Tri's Royal Villas Resort on Memorial Day. But unfortunately we were disappointed this time. We asked for airport transfer but no one greeted us at the entrance of the hotel. Walking to the lobby, I saw several staff chatting there, I don't know what we are coming. The resort has expanded, maybe this has brought more business to the resort, but for us, it has lost its original charm. The room attendant was still great, we had a room as soon as we arrived, and the decoration was very nice. But the restaurant staff seemed to lack training and obviously couldn't do the job. Our room was quite good, but it was shown everywhere that it was old. There were a lot of people on the beach, of course, it was not the fault of the resort, but it still affected the overall atmosphere. The resort is very proud of its cellar and has been on the wine appreciation magazine, but as a wine lover, I am disappointed that there is no reasonable wine here. I understand that the government has imposed a harsh excise tax on imported wine, But I think at least some Thai wines (some are good) should be in, and that's shameful. This is the beach, it's hot. I wanted a low wine, but the pool bar closed after 7pm and the only reasonable price wine can't be bought. I went to the breakfast room once and an accident that morning made me unhappy. I was unhappy for a while despite the manager explaining to me and apologizing. If management did say a little more, I would be discouraged, but not. I decided to go to the spa for a foot massage. The spa itself is very beautiful and the decoration is very elegant, which is the grade that the resort should have. The one who gave me a massage was a pretty young man, but the technology was not good. I have been to Thailand many times and I know what the real massage is like. Usually the masseur has to use some questions such as strength is not enough, pain is not pain. But this person did not ask, and obviously he did not know where the acupoint is. I later pressed it again in the temple, very good, a little spent. Maybe I was a bit picky but I really liked it before and it wasn't cheap. I also went back to this type of resort and this was the first time I felt very disappointed.

The new hotel is wonderful! Everything is new, clean, so nice. The staff said that the hotel had just opened - this was true. Quite good location, shop, beach, restaurants within walking distance. The hotel's interior is stylish and laconic. The pool and sun lounger area is comfortable. The room is spacious: the bed is large, the blanket is large - it's great. But there is an oddity in the room - the sink is in a common room, and the doors of the toilet and bathroom also open into the common space... I didn’t really like it, but it’s tolerable, not critical. But what I deducted 1 point for is breakfast! It is wildly scarce, they save a lot. Moreover, we paid for breakfast separately; if we had known that it was so bad, we certainly would not have taken it. Breakfast at a 3 star hotel. There is a choice of egg dish, toast bread, mini muffins, vegetables, only watermelon from fruit. From the main course: sausages, ham and rice with vegetables (dry and not tasty), yogurt and a couple of jams and that’s it.

This was our 4th visit to Kata Sea Breeze and we still love it. The resort is clean, well equiped, close to the beach, has 4 amazing pools and so close to restaurants, the night market and shops. Patong is a 20 minute drive away. We travelled as a family of 4, staying in interconnecting rooms. The rooms are so spacious with great aircon and cleaned daily. Beach towels are supplied which saves a bit of space in the luggage! The daily breakfast caters for all and includes Asian and European dishes. We never went hungry! Just remember you can ask the staff for bacon and eggs which ever way you would like and they will make it for you. My husband had his daily morning boiled eggs on toast just by simply asking politely. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible and it was great to see familiar faces. This resort is well worth a visit for a relaxing break in Kata
