The resort is directly in front of the beach so it is very convenient. Our room faces the sea and have a clear view of the sunset. And there is an outdoor bathtub so you have the option to soak in the bath while watching the sunset.

Long beautiful swimming pool, excellent morning breakfast, beautiful beach near by, transport available any time. My son enjoyed a lot long swimming pool

Fantastic stay to enjoy some peace and quietness in luxury! Close to the airport, easy for an early morning flight! Has two big pools, restaurant is great, but pricy, breakfast is delicious. Included in price.

Really highly recommended with this room rate! Quiet area, huge pool n water park for kids! The room is spacious too, although it could tell it’s quiet old resort but the room inside is very clean.

Really not very good at all. It’s a huge hotel with what felt like 1000’s of guests and there is no noise barrier from corridor to the bedrooms. All through the night buses arrive with guests so you get woke up every hour or so. Pool is too cold to swim in even though it was 35 degree air temp. Breakfast was low quailty and carnage. Massive queues and no tables

I really like Maikhao Beach! Perfect for couples and families. Although hotel is quite old and dusty. After one night i moved another Hotel which is Wayla Villa. Perfect place to stay very clean and the best hospitable owner i have ever met. They have Car and motor rental service Rented 7 seated for very affordable price almost 25% off.

I have stayed that hotel 3 days first day we have seen cockroaches and changed the room second day was ok but ac suddenly not working and we again changed the rooms but new room toilet smell comes via AC pump when we complain one service guy come and spraying toilet spray to the AC pump. Very very bad hotel

The hotel was so big. Service was good. Food was little bif a bad. Beach was the best

This hotel is very nice. The room was huge and we also had a jakuzi ok the terrace. The breakfast was good and worthed for the price. A bit far from the escursion places. We rented a motorcycle directly at the hotel and we went all around the island (suggested).

This is my second time staying here and apart from a bit of a hectic check in, my room and stay was perfect. Swim up pool was fantastic and all of the facilities were beautiful. Very helpful staff arranged a in hotel covid test for me. Couldn't recommend more.

On the paper everything looked good. And it has the potential but… let’s be clear it is nothing like a 5*, maybe 3* and I am questioning it. It is an old hotel, in front of it, part / or another hotel completely abandoned, but maybe that’s for a hidden urbex activity they didn’t talk about. But even in the hotel complex, you will find at least 2 buildings completely unused or in renovation. What is upsetting is to pay the hard price for something that doesn’t deserve it. I booked an access pool room, and they started to clean the pool on day 6, the pool was full of sand with a green silt on the wall… the skimmer was full, and clearly nothing that could fall on the pool were ever removed. And well here and there clearly the cleanlinesses was something they can work on. I point out this differences because I stayed in another hotel of the same group in Rawai a 4*, well my Rawai stay was far better than the Mai Khao one at all the levels. So my advice book a normal room, maybe one with the view on the sea (for the sunsets), enjoy the view and enjoy the fabulous beach in front of the hotel.
