My daughter and son in law moved back to the US from London. They arrived tired with 9 pieces of luggage!! When we dropped them off at the hotel, Ravin at the front desk was wonderful! She welcomed them home, explained breakfast/coffee for the morning and put them in a room on the first floor, close to a door (shorter distance to lug all those bags!) The room was perfect-clean and spacious. Thanks for such a great employee and for making their first night back so special!

This is on a long, narrow street several minutes' drive from I-17. If you aren't using GPS, pay close attention... there's only a small street sign on 23rd that's easy to miss. Also, the hotel is next to another Marriott: a Residence Inn. Once you get here, though, you'll find a very clean and modern hotel with efficient check-in and great quiet because it's out in the middle of nowhere.

At $130+ per night this Hampton Inn fell far below the bar that I have come to expect with this Hilton chain. As a daily fitness lap swimmer, I make many of my hotel bookings at properties with decent-sized pools. My choice for this Hampton was no different. The hotel's website showed a large, well-maintained pool with sparkling water. Just what I was looking for during a three-day stay in the heat of Phoenix in late May. Imagine my surprise when, after arriving at the hotel and heading to the pool, I was met with a good sized pool with water that was nearly opaque and sickeningly green. There was no way anyone should be in that water. I immediately went to the front desk, where I was told that the pool filter was not working and would not be fixed until at least Friday. The front desk employee assured me that the pool was safe to swim in, because the chemicals were being maintained. However, this pool had clearly not had a working filter for at least two days, and anyone who either owns a pool or maintains one knows that even with chemicals, a pool without a working filter becomes unsafe to swim very quickly. However, what was perhaps most disturbing, is that for the duration of my three-day stay there was NO notice or sign placed on the pool gate notifying guests that the pool filter was broken and that the pool was not up to hygienic standard to be in. The front desk offered to let me use the next door Homewood Suite's pool, since they are sister properties. However, the Homewood Suite's pool, although the filter was working, at midweek, the water was very cloudy and had a strong chemical smell. Since these two properties have the same franchise owner, I must conclude that pool maintenance is lax. As for my room, it had was tired and worn, the sink did not drain properly and I was unable to set the digital clock to the correct time. Turns out a ”maintenance engineer” has to manually come in a reset clocks. Although I asked for the problems to be corrected, the sink drainage issue was never fixed, and the clock was always an hour behind. Will not come back to this property, or any property owned by this franchisee.

Very good price, actually lived in the suite. It can be said that it is very cost-effective. There is a 24-hour Wal-Mart within five minutes walking distance to ross at 11pm. Parking is available around the door. The only regret is that the breakfast is a bit simple, milk yogurt bread, these simple meals that do not meet the Chinese people's eating habits.

I am highly allergic to cats and dogs. Yes, even hypo-allergenic dogs. I’m very cautious to always book at pet free hotels when traveling. This was a designated stay & play team hotel for my sons soccer tournament and we were booked for 4 days. Upon check in, I stepped on something crunchy as I entered our hotel room and discovered it was dry cat food. Our room looked clean but I discovered more cat food throughout our room in various places. I immediately asked the front desk attendant if we could be moved to a room that is designated as ‘pet free’ and was told, “there have been pets in all of our rooms. We can send someone down to vacuum again.” With it being a soccer tournament as well as Spring Training for baseball there was no availability to be moved to different hotel location or even a different hotel all together. Unfortunately, the additional vacuuming + spending as little time as possible in the room + sleeping fully covered in a long sleeved hooded top, long pants & socks did not delay my onset of severe allergic reactions. The first night I had difficulty breathing after the first hour, developed hives and rashes all over my body & my eyes were nearly swollen shut. I was miserable. There was no apology offered, no effort made to compensate me beyond the 5 minute additional vacuuming. Please be advised although they state on their website they are a ‘pet free’ hotel, THEY ARE NOT. They will essentially make NO effort to compensate you or accommodate you for falsely advertising themselves as a Pet Free hotel and don’t care if you’re sick and miserable.
