Petra Moon Hotel

We stayed two nights in a double room and paid £145 which included breakfast. We were given a room with a perfect view overlooking the valley of Petra. Not sure if that was an upgrade but it was certainly thoughtful of them. Room was lovey and clean and had a complimentary set of Dead Sea toiletries in addition to the room amenities. Good size room, with a sofa that we enjoyed the sunset from. Room had the usual bits like a safe, kettle, slippers, TV Breakfast had a very good choice and the Chef was especially friendly and helpful and made me a dish of beans that he could tell I was puzzled by. Think it was 'foul madames' which you served yourself from a large thin necked steel pan and add various condiments to. If you want to get a head start in the morning to explore Petra before the crowds this hotel is ideal as breakfast starts very early and you are only about 100 metres from the park entrance. You're also close to the main ***** of shops, restaurants and the two bars that we managed to find!
Petra Guests Hotel

It is very quiet and has a good view and can enjoy the night view of the mountain. There is a small garden seating area outside the lobby, and the restaurant has a surrounding mountain view. There is a cheap convenience store around the corner, and you can buy drinking water and snacks before going to Petra. If you have enough physical strength, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to visitor center, or it is very convenient to ask the boss to help call the car. The point is that the boss Mohammed is very enthusiastic and professional. If he knows different routes, he will suggest the best itinerary according to the number of days you stay. Our two-day Petra trip is super fulfilling! The boss also helped us arrange transportation to Amman when we left. The room was very clean and comfortable, with basic spare parts, and a kettle for tea and coffee. The breakfast and dinner provided were Jordan's home-cooked delicious food, such as bean mud, chicken rice, fresh salad and special desserts. If you are not in a hurry, the boss himself is full of wonderful stories to share, super recommended!
Petra Jewel Luxury Hotel

Surprising hotel. Deceptive ”luxury” in the hotel name. Located on the hill, above main entrance to Petra. Only few minutes walk down, a bit more when coming back. The room itself was spacious with comfortable bed. Aircondition was an big advantage. Bathroom leaves much to be desired. Bathtube with shower, but not always warm water was available. Toilet with self-closing flap all, also when sitting. No place to store toiletry bag. But some toiletries were available, what is an advantage. Bathroom was big, but needs renovation. Unfortunately the walls are not soundproof, whether inside or outside. No elevator available, what can be an disadvantage when travelling with big, heavy suitcase. As for the maney it costed, it was not really worth. Could be improved. Or better - price should be adapted to the conditions offered.
Petra Sky Hotel

My third time visit to this hotel and it just gets better. Staff excellent and friendly including the new manager Talal Homos and his wife. They now have restaurant on fourth floor with breakfast buffet and local food for dinner. There are beautiful views of the town and mountains from the restaurant and my room on the third floor. All major work is completed. Once again thank you all from owner to housekeeper. It was like home from home.
Grand Mercure Petra

The hotel sit atop a hill overlooking the desert hills - a wonderful view, about a 10-min. drive from the Petra visitor center. All the staff we met, from the security guards, to the bellman, the front desk, the restaurant - were just SUPERB. All of them. The lobby is inviting and warm, the restaurant is spacious and with lots of sunshine. Dinner buffet had a very nice variety and decent quality, yet overpriced. Breakfast had a wonderful variety with good quality. The room was very clean, and looked like it was built last year - very well maintained. Although the building looks very new, overall, the hotel is overpriced a bit. Overall, an excellent choice for Petra.
Edom Hotel

The hotel and its rooms were very clean and attractive and our three night stay there was extremely comfortable. I had had an accident before arriving and found the management and staff wonderful, they were all so kind, attentive and helpful. The manager and restaurant manager treated their staff with pride and respect, so lovely to see and experience. The restaurant and reception staff especially were a credit to Edom, in particular Jebrel and the receptionist studying to become a nurse. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. If you are looking for a hotel that exemplifies the warmth and generosity of the people of Jordon, then please choose the Edom hotel.
