La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Peru Starved Rock State Park

The breakfast was less than stellar, the sausage had no flavor and was barely warm ang the egg waffers were terrible too thin . The waffles came out excellent the juice was excellent and the fresh fruit and cereal were very good

Our room was terribly noisy due to the highway frontage road. Hotel was not busy so I would’ve hoped for a room away from the road. No reason we needed to be in that room. Pool was green and hot tub was very low on water and only lukewarm. Rooms were clean. Lobby and breakfast area were very nice and clean. Breakfast was good (waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, cereal, milk, juice and lots of condiments.

Very heap amenities in room. Cheapest I have ever seen. Plastic cup were not strong enough to hold water, TP was to thing, no shower safety bar, no Kleenex. Bad new

Hot tub was not working right and chemicals were dumped in by worker and didn’t say if it was safe or not to go in water. The hot tub was so foamy and the top layer of water had dirt lining the top. The pool was green. I have worked at a public pool and indoor pool for the last 6 years and have never seen a pool so poorly neglected. It may not be the workers fault but possibly poor training? We only chose this hotel for the hot tub or we were going to stay somewhere else for the same price. Other then that the breakfast was good and the cleanliness was good. The indoor pool and hot tub is my only concern here honestly. The elevator smelled a little funky, almost like hot burning smell. It was honestly a good experience just upset about the pool and how the worker never really told us if it was safe. We came back a couple hours later to check on it, to see if we could get it (also the water in the hot tub was colder then the water in the pool). Anyways we checked to see if it was warmed up and walked into the pool area to see that there was cation tape around the hot tub. Again we were never told if it was safe to go in. I knew it wasn’t considering he just had dumped chemicals in but what if I didn’t know that and would have hurt my skin? I don’t know, I’d give this hotel a 3/5 overall but the pool experience a 1/5.

We stayed for a wedding. The gentleman working the front was always friendly and willing to help. The man and woman cleaning rooms did a good job and were also very friendly. I would stay again

The property was not very sanitary. The AC unit had dirt, what seemed like mold, and small flies inside of it. The coffee filter in the room had a funky sour smell as well…did not use. The breakfast was subpar. The pool didn’t seem clean, and the hot tub had so much chlorine that it ruined my silver pandora bracelet. Overall, it was evident that the owners of the hotel did not see the importance in investing into their property. It definitely needs a deep cleaning and a refresh.

Our room smelled horribly of smoke and triggered an allergy attack. Curtains had holes in them and shower curtain was backwards. Tub is VERY slippery and no shower mat. Staff was helpful when AC wasn’t working. Hotel is ok, but for the price I would have expected something nicer.
