The breakfast was ok, affordable, good quality. The room has a sense of design, but I really want the hotel staff to be very enthusiastic. When I change hotels, they also help me send my luggage to another hotel.
Mercure Paris Opera Louvre

Old style hotel which i liked, room was clean and comfortable bed and good shower but that is where the good ended. Location is not the best, not many restaurants around, quite a walk to the Louvre. Be aware there is a tiny lift but there are more stairs on each floor to negotiate with suitcases. I am loyal to Accor and feel as a gold member I received zero benefits. Room was not ready at 3pm (2pm check in) and had to wait with no chairs to sit on, no welcome drink offered, probably the worst room in the hotel, booking said city view instead we had a lovely view of an internal wall and windows on the 3rd floor, incredibly difficult to get a 1 hour late check out, constantly fobbed off to next shift, when finally granted the cleaners kept coming in so we gave up and left. Staff were unwelcoming and generally unhelpful. Felt as if I might have just walked in off the street instead of spending a lot of money this year in Accor hotels, in fact most of the Ibis hotels we used had better rooms and staff. Definitely better hotels in Paris
Best Western Hotel Ronceray Opera

Perfect base for me and my daughter (22). Easy 20 minute walk from Eurostar @ Gare du Nord, in a straight line, with wheeled cases. Equally easy further 20 minute walk to River Seine. We stayed 7 nights and walked to many popular tourist sights, including zoological park (quite a long way, but all flat and a good day out). Also took Batobus from Louvre to Eiffel Tower and other attractions, though equally within walking distance. Loads of handy shops and eateries in the same street and surrounding city. Excellent buffet breakfast daily included cereal, cooked items, pastries, toast, yogurts, juice, hot drinks, fresh, tinned and dried fruit, bread rolls, meats and cheese. Room servicing came every day, despite our sometimes late starts. A bit of a lottery as to how many of which towel they would leave, whether mugs were cleaned/changed, whether tea, coffee, soap would be replenished - but overall GREAT service. Super air conditioning (it was 40 degrees outside!). Really comfy beds and pillows. Lovely staff.
Hotel Chopin

We just came back from a wonderful stay in Paris at the Hotel Chopin. Hotel Chopin is a small cosy hotel placed in the heart of Paris but still in a very quiet area at the end of the Jouffroy passage close to Grand Boulevards metro station. Our room was very clean and cosy and nice with a small refrigerator. Don’t expect to much of their wifi. The breakfast was fine but can also recommend to try the breakfast at the bakery in the same passage as the hotel. The staff in the hotel was very friendly and gave great service and the hotel cat was very cute. All in all a perfect stay and we look forward to return to hotel Chopin.
Dream Hotel Opera & Spa

We'd heartily recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are lovely, the location excellent, and the staff are fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay here. Just be aware that the lift is very small, which could pose a problem to someone with mobility/claustrophobia issues. But it's a small hotel, so the stairs are easy enough.
Best Western Hotel Opera Drouot

We were in Paris from after Christmas until after the New Year, January 4th. From check-in until check-out, the staff at this Best Western were friendly and helpful. It is located on a street full of restaurants, cafes and restaurants with bars, so it could get a bit loud into the evening. Not a problem for us, and we just closed our windows when we needed quiet or sleep. Winters are cold in Paris, very grateful for the heat and comforters provided! The breakfast provided (for a charge) had a good variety with delicious coffee and juices.
