リノベーションされたのかとても綺麗で快適に過ごすことができました。 必要最低限のアメニティしかないので、その点は注意が必要かなと思います。

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good value. It’s a short ten minute walk from the Eurostar terminal and some good restaurants near by. The price was quite high as we were there during the Olympics but at its normal price it’s good value

We had been regular visitors to the lovely city of Paris over the years but hadn’t been for a while so thought a short five-day trip was needed to see what was happening in Paris, and to see the pre-Olympic preparations. The first thing you require is a suitable hotel for your stay and hence we came across the Ibis Styles Cadet Lafayette. Now, there are lots of hotels throughout Paris, that fit many a different budget and purpose. For us, we're looking at a base with the necessary amenities, namely a very comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly staff and great location. So, the Ibis Styles Cadet Layfette was selected, based upon location and price. As many of our visits to Paris are by Eurostar, we like a suitable base near-by the Gard du Nord train station, with this less than a brief ten-minute stroll. Our room was a first floor (of six I believe) near the elevator. The thing to highlight here is that the lift is very small, so two people at a time is quite cosy! However, we didn’t have any issues with noise that elevators can cause. Occasionally, you could hear the neighbouring rooms, but not intrusive. The room is small, but then for us it is a base. The double bed was comfortable and large enough for the two of us. There were additional pillows, if required. The AC works well, and the window opens fully for fresh air, if required. There is ample storage for the cases and hanging space. There was a drop-down table that, when up, did not affect your movement around the room. A couple of hooks allowed us to hang up our jackets/caps, without being in the way. Side unit that you can place items upon, along with a couple of USB points and electricity sockets. A sensible sized TV that received several stations, giving insight to French entertainment. The WIFI operated very well throughout our stay, throughout the hotel. The ensuite bathroom had a shower and a wash basin, and as is often these days, each having a dispenser for soap. The toilet of course. Ample space. Importantly, hot water was always available for your shower and wash basin. The hotel had very clear signs of a recent renovation, which made the ambiance very pleasurable. Within the hotel, in the lobby you can help yourself to the 24/7 hospitality station for hot drinks and cold water. There is ample soft seating should you wish, too. Here also has access to the staircase, if you do not care for the elevator. At the end of your stay, they have secure baggage storage, should you require the service. The breakfast area had adequate space. Just take a tray, plate, cutlery, and help yourself to the options. You can select from the meats/cheese; fruits, natural yogurt; small pancakes; Pain au chocolat; various breads for toasting or eating fresh, along with a selection of toppings; cereals; egg boiling facility too. Naturally, coffee and tea (including tea leaf option) are available. Help yourself! And you can obtain your very own orange juice with the juicer machine that

Great value and recently renovated, friendly hotel. Lovely staff, esp Marion in Reception, who looked after us very well and replied to all our enquiries via email pre visit. Clean and pleasant well designed room with comfortable bed. Ample space and facilities, and a Juliette balcony with view of the lovely quiet Parisian city street. Esp love the Hot drinks ( as being a coffee and tea drinker ) in lounge area up to 10pm and cold drinks available anytime. Fresh and tasty breakfast with a very good selection to start the day. We were pleasantly surprised how nice this wee hotel was and would definitely look to book again if travelling on the Eurostar as very convenient for La Gare Nord.

Really can't beat what you get for the price. I stayed for 6 nights and paid under $700. The rooms are small. I was in a single, so the room was downright tiny. But it was clean, it was comfortable and I didn't need more than that really. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, which was the MOST important thing in Paris in August. The room had hooks and hangers to hang stuff, 3 shelves for storage, a luggage rack, a USB plug next to the bed for my phone, a small wall shelf for placing things, a movable side table, and a TV that had about 2 English channels, but I wasn't around to use them anyway. I had no problems with Wifi during my stay and plenty of hot water. Only negatives about the room were the flat pillows and the hand/face/body/hair wash - basically one pump bottle for all your washing needs. If you have hair that needs some extra care, be sure to maybe buy additional shampoo and definitely pick up some conditioner (not provided). Also, maybe a washcloth (also not provided). Other amenities for the hotel were quite nice. There's a 24/7 cold and hot beverage station in the lobby. Anytime you want a coffee/cappucino/espresso/hot chocolate or water/seltzer, you can head for the lobby and help yourself. Breakfast was delicious - it's a small buffet with limited options. The first day, I was super impressed, by the 6th day, it was the same food. Don't expect a huge amount of variety, but do expect it to be good. Plenty of fresh bread choices, an egg boiling station, yogurt with toppings, fruit, meats and cheeses, mini-crepes with toppings, croissants, cereals, juices, coffees, teas, milk, and even a juice squeezing station. And the breakfast area was never too crowded while I was there. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10 minute walk of Gare du Nord, where you catch the train to the airport. It's also a 3-5 minute walk from the metro station which is on the line that goes straight to the Louvre. At least 2 grocery stores within quick walking distance if you need a snack and the neighborhood was really quiet. I felt safe as a single woman. Downsides to the building: the elevator is tiny (max 4 people), the hallways are just about one-way only and if you have noisy neighbors or if your room is next to the elevator, it's going to be loud. I got lucky on this trip. But the staff were super friendly (checked me in early without even asking) and my stay here was overall very positive. I am amazed at what I got for such a good price...Motel 6 charges more and gives you way less.

Brilliant hotel which was very reasonably priced and provided pretty much everything we could need. The bedroom and shower room were very small and pretty basic but we barely spent any time in the room other than sleeping, and the bed was very comfortable which is really all that matters. Bed was made every day and it was nice to come back to after a day sightseeing. Air conditioning was a godsend due to the very warm temperatures while we were there. We were on the fifth floor - there is only one lift, which is very small and would only take 2 people at a time really - you just have to wait or take the stairs if it's busy. The hotel is only a short walk from Gare du Nord so very handily placed for Eurostar travellers. Only 10 mins or so walk to Montmartre area, about 20 mins walk to Galeries Lafayette and other shops, and basically within an hour's walk of everything else you could want to see. We walked everywhere - racking up 150,000 steps during the 6 days we were there - but if that's not for you, then there is a Metro station a couple of minutes walk away with easy connections throughout the city. Buffet breakfast included was excellent. Selection of meat, cheese, bread, pastries, yogurts, cereal and juice. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and chilled water available 24/7 for free in the dining area. Free WiFi access, although I found it could be a bit patchy. Staff were all really pleasant and friendly. There is no bar in the hotel but there was drinks (beers, wines etc) available to buy from a fridge in the lobby. On the whole we absolutely loved this hotel. OK it is not luxurious or spacious but you don't book an Ibis Styles expecting that. What we got was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

Yes, the rooms are small. All Ibis rooms are small, plus it is Paris. However the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is also very good, with a good selection: croissants, chocolatine, bread, hard eggs, ham, cheeses and yes you can squeeze your own orange juice. The staff was amazing. The location is in a very quiet side street, close to Gare du Nord and metro. Several restaurants are also nearby. I really enjoyed my stay.
