Fodele Beach Water Park Resort

We have just spent the week at the Fodele Beach Hotel and had a fantastic time. We were a family of 5, with two young children (8&9). On the second day, our children went to kids club and we barely saw them for the rest of the week they enjoyed it so much! The entire entertainment/mini team by Pink Wave were amazing with our children but we were particularly impressed by the dedication and warmth shown by one staff member, Karina. Karina was kind, caring and naturally engaging and will be truly missed by our children.

Brilliant massage from Raphael and service, staff so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Spoke about my needs, job, sports I do before we started, any past injuries and advice going forwards..Would really recommend and hope to get time to go back.

The hotel and water park are spotless. The staff attentive and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. Good variety, inc. drinks. The shop is very well stocked and reasonable. Plenty of refreshing pools. Rooms are cleaned daily & fresh water is left. The blonde lady in the waterpark is funny and friendly. Had a wonderfully relaxing massage with Maria in the Spa and Katarina is so professional and friendly. Thank you. Beach is clean, lots of sunbeds, water is so clear, grab a snorkel from the shop and see the fish! There is a train up and down the hill every few mins. Can grab a buggy back to yr room at the end of the evening if wanted. Thankyou Fodele. We will be back. 😀

Well this hotel is absolutely beautiful! The food was amazing and lots of different choices! But there is a few negatives as to why we wouldnt go back .. the pools are absolutely freezing, like colder then any holiday pool ive been too and my daughter refused to get in it ! She loved the small heated pool but its undercover and not many sunbeds around it and also in the coldest area of the hotel. The queue for drinks in the evening were very long, they didnt have enough staff to cater but they did the best they could and were the friendliest members of staff there. Now the evening and daytime entertainment was very poor. There was nothing by the pool and very rarely seen anything happening down on the beach apart from yoga. The kids club was disappointing as when i went to look at it with my daughter there were kids running in and out and the staff were not paying attention so this put me off putting my daughter in kids club so she didnt attend. The evening entertainment was not very good. My daughter enjoyed a couple of the disney nights but everything else we either sat by bar or went bed early because we were bored. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the hotel say the buses are easy to get but we waited and 7 buses went past all absolutely full and the same the next day. Taxis were like 40 euros each way if you wanted to go anywhere. Housekeeping were very good and cleaned to a high standard. There is a regular train to take you up to the water park which was very helpful. All in all beautiful hotel but the entertainment let it down and freezing cold pools. I would of been happy with a game of bingo but sadly nothing like that was on.

Pro’s: wifi is great and havent had any issues even on the beach. Pool area and restaurants modern and pleasing on the eye&clean. View is gorgeous everywhere. V clean hotel and friendly staff. Ice cream is amazing. Regular trains to Waterpark. Pool area is very clean. Food and deserts available all day. Cons.. Location- there is nothing else to do other than the small beach and waterpark. Jet2 says there are local bars and restaurants there are not and that the hotel os 2.5km away from centre. I can guarantee you this hotel is in the middle of nowhere.. pool bar is so far away to the point you give up going and just go the shop which is closer. The hotel will try to fob you off with an ‘upgrade’ which isn’t and is the furthest room away. Lunch and dinner is the same basically each night. Staff literally stand over you when eating waiting to take your plate. Waterpark looked v dirty with food and cups left everywhere. Ques at night for the bar we only ended up managing to get 1 each.. drinks selection is limited for all inclusive until the night time. Beach beds & tables were very dated and dirty. No entertainment during the day. Overall this hotel is ideal for couples or older people that want to get away and just chill within hotel grounds.. if your someone who likes going out at night or doing excursions unfortunately there is absolutely nothing available.

Great family time. I went as a solo father with my 83 year old mother, and my 2 kids: 23 months old and 4 year old. Service is excellent, very friendly and attentive. Food is abundant and at anytime. Nothing fancy but very good for the price. Resort has many pools and the water temperature is cold cold. My kids opted for the heated warm pool, and is great they have that option. Plenty of parking at the time we went . Kids club for 4 years old and up. I had a deep tissue massage at the spa and I have to admit that was the best massage in 3 years. I’m a triathlete and used to strong deep massages and Rafael was on point and very knowledgeable about physiotherapy. Our room was a family room which sleeps 4, with a sea view and pool access. The resort is on a hill and has many levels connected with elevators. Not the easiest to navigate with strollers and elderly people. To get to Basilikos, the main restaurant for all the meals, you need to take elevator up to reception and go down stairs (5 steps), or go to a lower level and climb 2 stairs, which means: pick up stroller and climb or go down stairs. Not ideal neither for an 83 year old person. I talked to hotel and they said they are working on adding a ramp. That’s the only thing I see as a negative point in this awesome hotel.

I spent a week's holiday here and I'm very happy Very good food, spacious rooms and very nice bar The exceptional entertainment from the kids club and Samu (sports boy) very nice and Dani (daily responsible) very strong in the shows and also super nice and available to help us in any area I am happy with this holiday and will return

Thank you very much to all the hardworking, kind staff at Fodele for a brilliant holiday. There is an excellent range of facilities to enjoy. Some other hotels can feel a bit claustrophobic, but here, with so many seating areas, the breathing space between the pool and outdoor bar, and an entire private beach to go at, it really adds something to be able to relax and mix things up so much within the same resort; and provides many angles to enjoy the beautiful views of the beach, sea and mountains from. We really enjoyed the superb range of food as part of the all-inclusive, the restaurant staff were especially wonderful, and it was a nice touch to be able to eat in the other restaurants once too, included in the deal (except wine which you would pay extra for) - we went for the Italian restaurant, and had a brilliant 5-course meal served by great staff. I have a food allergy and was impressed with the signage on the buffet items and the restaurant menu. It really helps to feel more safe and secure, having these in place. There was also a letter to sign on arrival for anyone with allergies, which is a good sign of it being taken seriously, though I’m not sure what difference this makes as it’s ultimately on you to choose from the buffet - several times we saw other guests using the spatula across several serving points, which would certainly have risked cross-contamination for me, had we not spotted it, but I appreciate that I chose to come to a hotel with this style of food service and the risk management is on me on that. If we had to be critical, we would say some facilities could be upgraded, especially for a 5 star hotel. The air con/fan in the room wasn’t the best, we could have done with an iron and board in the room (particularly with the smart-ish dress code expected at evening meals), the tv and hairdryer weren’t the newest, and (as shown in my final attached photo) the coat hooks in the room were… upside down and so were totally redundant?! Perhaps they’re just decorative/abstract art! The staff had great language skills and really made an effort to engage guests in a natural, friendly way. And well done to the hotel for adapting as best they could in the face of extreme weather with Friday’s thunderstorm. This showed how especially useful the wide range of seating across the resort can be when nobody is at the beach or pool and the entire guest population is inside all day - they even opened up one of the evening restaurants to give people more space to sit and shelter. We would definitely recommend this hotel! Thank you.

Really nice hotel with everything you need the staff was welcoming and friendly on arrival and during the stay , the hotel room was nice and comfortable with lovely sea view . The food was nice with plenty to choose from . The food could have been little warmer for my liking but overall nice. The al Carte Greek resturant was good . The hotel can be little noisy and busy with children but then again , it is a family oriented hotel. The evening entertainment was ok . Over all it was an enjoyable stay . The hotel staff from the bar and restaurant made the stay more enjoyable , names to mention kastos , Aristea , dimitris , Sofia
