I was there many years ago to a meeting and had booked the hotel in good memory, therefore also. Great and quiet location, very much green, almost in the forest. The rooms are very beautiful. However, I would just stay there and don't go to dinner there in the restaurant. Absolutely overpriced for this quality. Salat with dead-brasted chicken breast €19 and a glass of white wine €0.15 10. Sorry, we are here in Northeim in the forest and not in Hannover. Of course, you don't have to drink wine, but if you “suspect” to get a nice food, that's for me. As I said, staying, like to eat again, don't eat anymore!

The positive thing was that the room had a terrasse and everything in the room was OK. The view from the hotel (but not our room) is great. The bad: The wifi didn't work. I asked one employee and she said; ”The wifi always works. If you can't get it to work, then YOU are doing something wrong” and then she left!!! Tried to talk to another staff member, but other than showing me the password, she couldn't / wouldn't help. The next morning it - as by a miracle - worked, without us doing anything. Talked to a 3rd employee (the manager?) when checking out, and he said that the staff doesn't know anything about the wifi, and showed me it worked. However, at the same time, the network to the credit card terminal stopped working... The trash can in the room smelled so badly from smoking/cigarettes I had to place it outside. Had to reserve a timeslot in the restaurant, even though it was almost empty (other hotels and restaurants in Germany simply asks you to fill out a form for Corona tracking purposes)... The room was very small.

The hotel has the 70-year-old Flair. The promi images in the entrance area talk of past time. The room was clean and the bathroom was convenient and newly designed. The windows in the room were unfortunately not opened. And the air conditioning was a small standing air conditioner. The darkness hangs were not entirely attractive. They were not broad enough. Breakfast was sufficient. The staff was friendly and effort. But my impression. Certainly no 4* hotel.
