You and the staff at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa were exceptional in their service and made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the receptionists to the restaurant staff, everyone was friendly and approachable. They were always ready to assist in any way possible to ensure that I had a pleasant stay. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The amenities provided were top-notch, and I appreciated the little touches such as the complimentary toiletries, fresh towels, and the comfortable bed. The food at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, and I was impressed by the wide variety of dishes available. The quality of the food was excellent, and the presentation was impressive. Overall, my stay at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa was a memorable and enjoyable experience. I would like to thank you and your staff for providing excellent service and for creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Checked in: Jan 25, 2021 Time: 9:51 PM Deluxe Room 12hrs Me and my partner checked-in at this hotel late at night since it was the decent one we found near the grand terminal. The room given to us was clean but the floor was really sticky. We remember checking in at around 10pm but I had to call the front desk the next morning (9am) just to make sure I'm not mistaken since they did not provide us any checkout information when we paid for our room. The girl who I spoke to said we checked in at 9pm and they will only allow a 15min grace period for us to pack up and leave right away. I asked how much it will cost for us to have an additional hour so we can eat breakfast but the girl said she is not sure of how and that she will need to call us back. After a few minutes she called back and said we need to pay 180PHP for another hour to spend at the hotel. My partner was the one who answered the call and agreed so that they would let us stay until 10am. They DO NOT SERVE ANY MEALS, only cup noodles and junk food so we had to order food delivery. My partner went down the lobby to get our breakfast from the delivery guy and also spoke to the receptionist to confirm what was our check-in time last night. She was told it was 9:51PM and not 9PM contrary to what she told me when I called. After eating we packed up our things and went down right away so that we no longer need to extend an additional hour on our stay. The receptionist told us we still need to pay 180PHP even though we did not consume the 1hr extension since it was already recorded on their system. I argued but had to pay since we were on a hurry. TLDR: WE WERE ASKED TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA HOUR ON OUR STAY EVEN THOUGH WE CHECKED OUT ON TIME. THEY DO NOT SERVE ANY MEALS. THE STAFF IS NOT FRIENDLY AND PROPERLY TRAINES, EVEN THE GUARD WHO KEPT ON STARING AT US. P.S I HOPE THE MANAGEMENT WILL TAKE ACTION AND TRAIN THEIR PEOPLE TO BE PROFESSIONAL. CUSTOMER RELATIONS NEED IMPROVEMENT. THE RECEPTIONIST IS INCONSIDERATE.

Just wrapped up my stay at this lovely 4-star hotel, and it was a pretty sweet experience! The check-in vibes were welcoming, and the room felt like a cozy little heaven with all the goodies you'd need. The staff? Super friendly and always ready to make your day brighter. The hotel's got some cool facilities too – I had a blast at the pool and hit the gym for a quick sweat sesh. Dining options were on point, and I tried a bit of everything – a foodie's dream come true, the buffet also!

For a 2.5 hours drive from Manila, you get to reach this beautiful property with great views and a good beach. Service was great as they tried to accommodate requests. The dining staff were very attentive. Special thanks for Alex from F&B who set up a beautiful dinner under the sky for us. It was under the tree, overlooking the infinity pool and the peninsula. It was beautiful. Additionally, if the seaview casitas are available- try to book those as they offer a good ocean view and great ambiance.

The hotel room is large, but partial to 4-star standards, bamboo. The beach environment is very good, the sand is very fine, there are various water activities but you have to pay extra, there is a car in the park to take you to the beach, and it is very close by walking. The food is relatively monotonous, but overall it is a very relaxing resort, and I would like to go again.

This is a great boutique hotel with spacious villas suitable for our family. The pool is great, happy hour is a blast 4-6pm daily and rooms are comfortable. The ate at their restaurant every night and food was good. During the day we took the boat which cost approx 3k for 4 hours and did island hopping. The stairs in the resort to your room is a challenge so if you have limited mobility then avoid but we had no issue with it.

There are many resorts in Mabini but unfortunately many have very steep stairs to deal with. Some have their restaurants or the pool located in an inconvenient location where we have hard time to walk up and down for the food. This small resort is perfectly designed in a way that we only need to walk few steps one time for check in/out. Beautiful pool, garden with sea view, very full breakfast. Food are tasty. Our children like it. All the quiet comfort for a good stay in Anilao!

I'd like to graciously comment that to some extent, we had a good and fulfilling stay except for an uncomfortable experience in meeting a few ”defensive” staff of Jack Daniel Apartments. I would kindly suggest that next time, please welcome your guests warmly first before telling it to their face the cost of (e.g.) extra mattress for each night, missing bath towel, etc. I think it's intimidating to confront the guests with ”this and that prices” when they have just arrived. I regret to say that some staff were defensive in their explanation. Another intimidating act was the suggestion of Ms. Jocie for us to book another room with two superior bedrooms, when our booking confirmation stated 4 adults and 4 children. It was just relieving when she finally honoured the Agoda Booking Confirmation, but not after hours of long discussions 😢. Anyhow, I wasn't very glad to pay Php 2,000. for two extra mattresses for our additional two school children; and even this amount is high. We liked the swimming pool and the gardens. The property must have seen long years but well maintained. Despite my experience with a few intimidating staff, I'd like to thank Jack Daniel Apartments.

My wife and I had a pleasant Valentine's Day excursion at the Coral Beach Club and I will say a bit more about the resort than I usually do. Our first reaction was that there is a lot stuffed into a relatively small space—six buildings with 26 guest rooms, a dining/recreation area, a pool/jacuzzi complex, and a parking area—in 2200 square meters with a 40 meter beach front. Closer observation showed that the resort is well laid out and the plan produces a family-friendly resort with something to entertain virtually all guests. Plus, the resort does not offer day passes so the facilities are never overloaded. As we settled in, we noticed that our room and the facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Linens and towels appear fresh and new, while necessary items (water, instant coffee, soap, shampoo, toothpaste) were delivered to our room every morning. The resort fronts on a public beach which is swept twice a day. Uniformed security officers prevent loitering, while vendors promoting banana boat rides, snorkeling, and floating bamboo platform rentals are courteous and helpful. Prices seem to be set by the LGU so there isn't much point in negotiating and there is little danger of being over charged. We rented a floating bamboo platform for a day (P1500) and couldn't have been happier. When necessary, the vendor trooped to the store for us and moved our platform on request so we could see more of the coral, The dining/recreation area deserves special mention. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful, and the menu is a delight. There are items for every taste and budget: kiddie hot dogs up to adult priced steaks (which are imported from the United States). For Valentine's dinner, my wife had a tasty rib eye steak while I enjoyed a wonderful salmon filet. Breakfasts were included with our package and my wife and I both enjoyed the Full American Breakfast. Staff members were able to add a couple extra pieces of toast and an extra cup of coffee when I asked. The facilities are smoke free, but designated smoking areas are conveniently located throughout. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return with friends and family.

The location is excellent at the ocean front, the food is varied, and the price is OK. The view from the room is not good, and cockroaches appear at midnight. Maybe better pest control. Overall good evaluation.
