Excellent if you are on a budget better than Rosin Inn which is brits tend to go the room worked out at £45 per night for a family of four plus you get free buffet breakfast food nice hot and cold food and hot and cold drinks fruit and yogurts scrambled eggs bacon everything is their no parking fee we didn’t pay a resort fee either staff lovlely twice my son put an egg in the microwave and it exploded they never complained room spotless free shuttles to both Disney and universal

Much better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

Double trees always a nice hotel to stay at and the free cookies and check in or whenever you ask are always a delightful treat. For this day we found that there was really nothing around the hotel itself as far as other restaurant choices although it’s very close to universal and they have a shuttle bus which was convenient, we ended up moving to a location nearby that had many more restaurants around, the rooms were clean the pool areas. Nice the restaurants food was good although a little pricey if you would like to use the pool areas, I think this could be an excellent choice.

The hotel is renovated and accommodations were fine and it is one of the better quality hotel choices in the busy and very touristy Orlando center. Also, breakfast selection was surprisingly good and plentiful for the typical selection for the Holiday Inn Express brand. The reasons for not giving the hotel 5 stars are below: 1) the bathroom sink in the room was clogged upon check in. 2) guests were allowed to consume alcohol and to smoke heavily in the pool area right next to many small children and other guests who did not appreciate being exposed to second hand smoke. As a public health policy, smoking should only be allowed in remote designated areas and not in the pool ares which is full of small children. 3) At times there was no staff at the reception and the staff that I did communicate with either spoke very poor English (or none at all, the assumption was that everyone should be speaking Spanish) or appeared to be genuinely disinterested and didn't pay attention to customers' concerns.

Great location for a fresh new hotel that fits the bill on a budget overnight stay. Marri greeted us when we arrived and prepared grab-n-go breakfast bags for us when we arrived since we were flying out early. Modern and clean feel with free parking, friendly staff, and free breakfast.

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? I did a last minute booking for the Tru by Hilton Orlando Convention Center, as I had to change some of my holiday plans while Hurricane Ian passed through the area. I stayed at a few hotels this trip, and I honestly can't think of anywhere I would've felt safer or more secure while the bad weather passed by. Tru will definitely be one of the first hotels I consider for future trips. I arrived at the hotel very early, as I wanted to avoid going out in the afternoon once the weather worsened. They checked me in and let me go to the room straight away. The welcome I received was so warm and friendly, I immediately felt at home and knew I was in good hands. Lots of Americans were also in the hotel, many of them with their pets, so it really felt like a home from home and a place of safety during the storm. The rooms are quite compact, but they're so well designed you really don't feel there's a lack of space. The hotel and rooms are all very modern and comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom has a great, large shower cubicle and the toiletries are all good quality. The bed was comfortable and I got a pretty good sleep, only woken up by the noise of the wind at the height of the storm. I thought the breakfast selection was good, and they provide coffee in the lobby area all day if you want it. For breakfast there was a nice selection of cereals, hot and cold items. Considering the hotel was full or nearly full, everything seemed to be flowing well and didn't feel too overcrowded. They turned off the lifts on the evening of the storm, handed out torches in case we lost power, and made several announcements of the emergency tannoy system. Everything about this hotel felt well thought out and extremely safe - I still can't get over how well they handled the situation.

Pro - Good location on International Dr and very convenient for those who want to take an i-ride trolley to explore the area. - Walkable to Orange county convention center - very close to CVS and walkable to Walgreen - The room comes with a decent fridge (no freezer compartment) and a microwave. - Three swimming pools - Room is clean and the bed is comfy. Con - Room is quite old and outdated. - although it comes with a fridge and a microwave, there is no small dining table in the room and there is only one chair on a working table. - Check in is at 4 PM which is very late and the check out line is very loooong. --＞ be prepared to be in line for 15 min to get the room checked out.

When we first tried to check in there was a problem with the system as several of my credit cards didn't work even though they were all good. This was for a deposit. The woman who checked us in was very nice. One card finally worked. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The next morning and every morning the breakfast was very good. We were staying here to go to Daytona International Speedway two days in a row. I found that although it is the Orlando area it is still cheaper than staying closer to Daytona. It is only an hour drive to Daytona from there. The first night we returned to the hotel about 3:30AM and found that our room door was not closed all the way and therefore unlocked. I called the desk right away to report it. Luckily nothing was missing. The next day we went back to the track (Saturday). Upon returning that night just before midnight we found our key cards didn't work. We went around to the front door. The inside door was locked, I couldn't see anyone at the desk and there was no sign directing you to the intercom on wall which I didn't notice. I tapped on door. My wife noticed the intercom after that. The woman at the desk spoke to us through it. I told her our key cards were not working. She asked if we were staying there after that. I said yes. She let us in and blamed us for the card problem because my wife put her phone on the desk saying we put the cards by our phones. I pointed out that my card was in my wallet and no where near my phone. She gave us new cards. She was very rude in my opinion. When we got to our room it was not made up with no towels replaced. We checked out the next morning.
