PROS: The views are amazing—just as you see in the photos, especially if you book a cabin on the lower level. Cozy cabin with bunk beds for kids. CONS: Horrible Wi-Fi, had to use my ATT data the entire two nights Needs duvets....flimsy bedspread that I don't believe was laundered. I'm almost certain these are used over and over. The pillows smelled. The door's shades would not open, obscuring the full view. Noisy A/C The towels felt like cardboard, not fluffy. The cabins tout themselves as "Green." They give you all these little shampoos and conditioners in disposable plastic bottles, not utilizing a greener way of doing this. You'll get a water bottle coupon when you check in. You must go to the hotel to redeem these. Instead of making guests schlep to the hotel, how about stocking the mini fridge with water?

We made a reservation 3 MONTHS ahead of time, just to have them cancel it the day of because of THEIR mistake. They were rude and completely unwilling to help fix the issue. You can camp for far less (or even free) just down the road. This place is a racket.

We stayed at the Cabins at The View in Monument Valley. Plan early because these cabins go quickly. You wake up and go to bed with the best view in the area. The cabins are clean, well stocked , very well decorated and an incredible view ! It is very quiet and the stars are all the entertainment you need. The staff, especially at The View Hotel, were extremely helpful. If you cannot get a cabin, The View , is a wonderful option. The view during meals is great. The food and service are wonderful. The gift shop is amazing and they offer generous coupons during your stay. I cannot say how much our trip was enhanced by staying at The Cabins. It is the only place I would ever stay, except The View hotel. The Cabins made our stay a magical experience.

The cabin here is all about the view. Thrilled with the big picture window. Ours was in the back row of cabins but enough of a view to be thrilling. One of us got up a 0-dark thirty and threw some warm clothing over her jammies and took her camera out on the little porch and then down the steps to the walkway to walk around and take a zillion photos of the rising sun. She was thrilled, that's all that matters. The cabin was fine - clean, neat, comfortable. Parking is convenient, just behind the cabins. Breakfast required a short drive to the main building, where we got to the included-breakfast layout on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was chain-hotel stuff but with gorgeous views.

We had booked a cabin which we realised was probably on the back row so we called and managed to change to one on the front. What a good move that was. When we first arrived we went to the main hotel to check in, not realising that for the cabins, there’s a separate place to check in - another cabin! We were given directions and off we went. Check in sorted we parked the car at the back of our cabin and went straight in to have a look. Wow, these cabins are just gorgeous, they may not be very big but they are perfect, a double bed, bunk beds, a small bathroom with everything you’d need plus a basic kitchen area. The main thing however, is the view, which is just stunning. It doesn’t get any better. We’d heard varying reports about eating up at the main hotel so decided to pick something up on the way. We also played it safe and bought some paper plates and cutlery. A good job we did as there is nothing in the little kitchen apart from the fridge and microwave! But that night we popped a lasagne in the microwave and sat and ate it at the table with the best view ever. The following morning we set an alarm and got up to watch the sunrise. Amazing. Breakfast up at the main hotel was so so, staff weren’t particularly happy, it was quite crowded, but we had a little food to start the day off. Absolutely loved our night here, we sat, just chilling, enjoying the stunning scenery from our little cabin, bliss. (On a side note, the WiFi was very hit and miss, not that we particularly wanted it but if anyone does it’s just something to bear in mind)

Had a tent site for two nights. It was crazy windy so we ended up sleeping in our vehicle. The tent sites/parking-for-the-tent-sites have an amazing unobstructed view of the Mittens. Best sunrises ever! We arrived after 9pm. The office happened to still be open (normally it should not have been) and the lady checked us in, which she did not have to do. She was very pleasant. Bathroom building was fine; operational and clean enough. Tent sites are walk-in (very short walk). Super easy to walk up to the hotel to meet our tour for the valley. So glad we took a tour; a minivan on the valley road would have been a terrible idea for us. We brought all our food; no idea about the restaurant. If you want a great view, this campground is for you!

You can’t have fires, tent and RV sites 6 feet apart. Cabins looked cute but hard to get on phone to book. 17.5 loop mile drive has porta potties along drive. Great views; only take an SUV. Not suitable for cars with low clearance. The View Hotel restaurant is not always open. Lovely large gift shop.

The cabins at the View are excellent! One of the best parts of our visit to Monument Valley and the best night's sleep we had on our trip. All of the cabins look out over the Mittens and Merrick Butte, so you have a front row seat for sunrise or sunset on your own front porch (or from the bed if you have the blinds open). The cabins are cosy and have a double bed and a smaller room with 2 bunks. There's a bathroom and a kitchenette as well. There's not a lot of indoor seating---just a small table with 2 basic chairs, but there are two nice chairs on the front porch. Parking is a bit limited, but we were able to park right next to ours. The front row of cabins will have more of a trek, but they also get a better view. Our only complaint was one that we had with Monument Valley in general. None of the emails we got told us where to check in and nothing was signed well. We went to the lodge to check in and were told that we had to check in in a completely different location. A few directional signs or more info in the reservation emails would be helpful.
