North Stormont Hotels & Accommodations

I stay at Wyndham hotels when I travel - this time in Dieppe NB - Wingate by Wyndham June 14 - as expected it was just great - no fantastic. Next in Cornwall - Ramada by Wyndham. Simply put - this Ramada was DISGUSTING. Dirty is not enough to describe the condition of this hotel - surly not even close to the standard of a Wyndham property. The hall ways, doors, floors/carpets and dining room was disgusting and even the breakfast was missing all kinds of things we expected to have - couldn't eat what was there. We paid $125 less at the Wingate that was 110 times better - better breakfast, cleaner, friendlier overall what I expect from a Wyndham property. Bottom line - the Ramada in Cornwall should be condemned. I will fill out a report with TripAdvisor.

Chinese translation is a bit problematic, not a balcony, but a platform. This B&B literally means bed 🛏️ + breakfast 🍚, living under an eaves with the landlord 🏠, drinking tea and chatting, the family atmosphere is very strong, and compared with Airbnb Airbnb in the Internet era, there are stricter requirements and more reassuring. The landlord Annette has been in business for 16 years and the rooms are antique and have a lot of antique furniture with stories.

With a stay at Century motel in Cornwall, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Archie's Family Golf Centre and The Art Gallery (TAG) Cornwall. This motel is 8.4 mi (13.5 km) from Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from Seaway International Bridge. Free self parking is available onsite. Make yourself at home in one of the 24 air-conditioned rooms featuring microwaves and LED televisions. Bathrooms feature bathtubs or showers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Conveniences include desks and coffee/tea makers.

Beautiful resort in need of some upkeep. Great staff. Very friendly and bilingual. We stayed for four nights in a river view room. I liked that you could open the window and let in some fresh air. We didn’t get one of the updated rooms, so our room had a very rustic vibe. My review doesn’t include the restaurant, that is a separate review. Be prepared to spend big for a meal here. But just a ten minute walk through the trails leads you into town and some very nice, more affordable restaurants. Tennis courts were open when we were there. Huge and beautiful indoor pool. Nice walkway along the river. Bring bug spray!!! Since we were there in May the outdoor pool water sports, and outdoor restaurants weren’t open. If you are a regular hiker, you will be disappointed in the trails. But for those wanting a leisurely stroll, it would be perfect.

I highly recommend this Best Western. The service is friendly and helpful (right down to helping us secure an additional night when unforeseen circumstances extended our stay, and with the hotel full!). Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff is second to none; everyone was really personable and friendly. Our breakfasts were particularly nice and we will be returning to visit with our two servers another time soon….we were sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

As luck would have it, I booked the stay on the day the wildest rain storm in a decade hits Ottawa. I reached the hotel at 8PM that evening and found a pitch dark building with absolutely no lights. The front desk still checked me in manually and assigned the rooms on the top floor for me. Having no power, I had to haul all my luggage five floors up the stairs with no emergency lighting and stuffy stale air. Here are all the bad: - The property has NO backup generator, they only have a few handheld flashlights - Battery operated emergency stairwell lights are ALL not working, they end up leaving flashlights pointed upwards on the floor - No ventilation, no gym, no pool, windows doesn't open, no hot water, no working elevators, no wifi, doubt the smoke detectors are still working (this is a death trap situation) The Good: - Joanne at the font desk handled the situation with aplomb. totally unfazed by the difficult and annoyed guests. The technician who opens the room doors for us needs a mention as well. Calm, friendly and cool - Power returned around 7AM the next morning, they were able to serve up a decent breakfast. Appreciate that. Due to the fact there are no backup generators (to rub salt to the wound, the fitness complex next doors has full lighting and air con with their diesel generator humming away nicely way into the night), I would certainly not be choosing this venue in the future.
