5 Star Hotels in Ningbo

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. The location was convenient, offering easy access to local attractions and transportation.

Hotel is clean. The room is spacious. Front desk is friendly. The staffs greets you when you comes and goes. Price is decent since I'm paying USD. A little more compared in the area. The hotel shows it's age, including the rooms. I booked the King Bed room at around $100 USD a night. But I like it when they give you 4 pillows and 2 are memory foam pillows which I love. Unlimited bottle waters, they are placed everywhere in the hotel for you to grab. The breakfast has a wide variety. If you didn't book breakfast a day ahead it's 100RMB. If you tell them a day ahead that you'll be getting breakfast the next day, it's 50RMB per person. As I recall it was $13 more when I book my room with 2 breakfasts. I would stay here again.

This was my second stay at this amazing top class hotel. The staff speaks good english and is very professional, catering to any needs of the business traveler. I especially like that it can be reached by a short 10 min. walk from Ningbo railway station. Another 10 minutes away -perfect for a after-dinner evening stroll - the Ningbo Moon Lake can be reached: it offers good air and astonishing views making it hard to keep the mouth closed.

As a Golden circle member since 2003, I always love Shangrila. Very good location, big room size and most of all, outstanding service. The breakfast is also great, the gym is perfect too. But the changing room condition was below my expectations. Not clean and the facilities are too old. The TV in the room….. most hotels have internet TV these days even 4 stars but the TV is too old. It’s needed some upgrades.

An unforgettable experience from my stay at the hotel. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the furniture is modern. This is an interesting place as it’s old, contemporary style of an area past, dim lights everywhere, traditional wooden panels alongside huge heigh ceilings. It brings back a time of glamour, reminded me of the Titanic in its former glory. Yet the rooms are crammed, I hit my foot twice on the floor bed corner. The staff are friendly and helpful, english is spoken at reception. Would i stay here again? Probably not, as the darkness of the room, ( windows do open slightly) felt depressing. However great location, cross the river and you are in the mids of the city. Ernst , New Zealand

Top in terms of location, facilities, staff friendliness and room standards. Zero stars for the quality of the dining experience, I'm afraid. Mediocre local dishes hopelessly overpriced and way below average by Ningbonese standards. Could have gone to Hanling village down the road or a bit further into Yinzhou for the same or similar dishes at a tenth of the price (and better quality). We felt it was quite an insult and if it hadn't been rather late and we hadn't been starving, we would have gotten up again and jumped in a Didi. My workplace canteen offers similar local dishes at less than 10 kuai/dish (ok, not a valid comparison, I must admit, but even the most expensive local restos don't charge more than 50 kuai either and provide bigger size portions and tastier). The portions were tiny and starters were priced on average at 100+ kuai while the mains, the size of starters, were on average 220+ kuai. Hardly reasonable for some seasonal veggies and 10 tiny rubbery beef cubes. The white wine hadn't been cooled (happens all the time but kinda unexpected if you pay 4,000 kuai a night for a resort in one of Ningbo's prime locations) and it was a cheap bottle priced at nearly 80 kuai a glass. Having stayed in a variety of luxury lakeside venues across Zhejiang over the years, we were pretty taken aback. For me it was the worst value for money food experience during my entire time in China. We loved our suite, the fitness facilities as well as the architecture of the entire resort though. The service was pretty professional and friendly even though hardly anyone speaks English which is surprising given that this place is regularly frequented by non-Chinese speakers from the local areas nearby (and we saw plenty of those for lunch). Also, in comparison to similar properties across Ningbo and Zhejiang, the breakfast was the worst also. Never mind the continental and English style brekkies (sometimes difficult to get right, we get that), even the Chinese dishes were mediocre (such as the soups, fried items etc) which was surprising. Should we return (we practically live down the road), we'll not spend a single penny on food in this place.

This time when I stayed was a little disappointing. They were refurbishing the breakfast area downstairs so everything was shifted to what looked to be a conference area or something. This resembled one of those super-old hotels (always something not right about eating breakfast in a carpeted room in a hotel - unless it’s in your room) and there seemed to be a lack of organization across the board. The M Bar is also due a MAJOR overhaul - it really not befitting of a four-star hotel! I went there for a few drinks on my last night, known it would be the last time I saw it like this! One more thing I really don’t like is the pillows in the room - they are so soft they might as well not even be any! That said, I have enjoyed my (first) stay here in July more and if I stay again then I hope to see a better breakfast area and bar -even if the pillows are the same 😂

The hotel and service is good, but it is time to revamp and upgrade the rooms. The carpet is old and dirty with stains and a musky smell, furniture is old and chipping off. The television is rather a super old model. The only horrible horrible thing you will experience is the lift, it is damn super slow during the peak period like in the morning from 7-10am you got to wait for like 15mins before being able to get into a lift and down. Overall experience for the brand name Westin this Ningbo one didn't lift up to its name and a overpriced one.

Fantastic stay! I spent a weekend and would definitely do it again. The room is spacious, clean and very beautiful. The view is breathtaking, if you’re a content creator like me you definitely should book yourself a stay here, there’s lot of attractive spaces to capture.Staff was very friendly, I ordered room service and had no issues, staff could speak English. I would definitely recommend this hotel ❤️
