Well, where do I begin? My stay at this hotel was certainly a unique experience!
Let's start with the ambiance. The room had a very distinctive scent. It wasn't just in the air; it was a part of the furniture, the curtains, my suitcase... I feel like I didn't just stay in a smoking room, I became one with it.
The interior design was a beautiful tribute to the... let's say... "classic" era. It felt nostalgic. The bathroom, however, was a bold statement in modern transparency. It was designed for... togetherness. Let's just say, if you're staying with a friend, you'll get to know each other very, very well. Privacy is overrated anyway!
The hotel staff were lovely and cheerful, which was a nice contrast to the room itself. The location was also perfect for exploring. Big plus points there!
Now, for the wildlife spotting: I was greeted in the room by a small, six-legged friend, perfectly preserved against the stark white sheets. It wasn't in the brochure, but I'll take it as a complimentary welcome gift.
Trying to sleep was another adventure. The air conditioner roared to life with the power and grace of a distant tractor pull. Combined with the zero soundproofing (I now know my neighbor's entire life story), it made for some truly restful... lying awake.
Look, for the price, it was acceptable. I've stayed in cheaper cities and gotten much better quality, but this was an experience I'll laugh about later. If you're a backpacker with a sense of humor, a deep love for vintage aesthetics, and a pair of earplugs, this might just be the place for you
