Kagamigaike Hekizantei

The atmosphere inside the building and the rooms was very good. The view was amazing and relaxing. However, there were not many electrical outlets in the room. Families had to fight over the outlets to charge their cell phones. Also, the dinner set menu (the items lined up on the table) was very disappointing. It was also disappointing that there was no children's menu (I think that would be difficult for children). Breakfast was very delicious compared to dinner. The bread was also delicious. The bath was quite average. It was clean. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were not many young people there.

There are several lodgings in "Dake Onsen", but I think this one has the best location. You can see "Kagamiike Pond", and if the weather is good, I recommend walking around "Kagamiike Park" when you wake up in the morning. The hotel is part of the "Itoen Hotel Group", which bought a long-established inn that was about to go out of business, so the accommodation fee is cheap. They are using the old facilities as they are, so the amenities are low. The room I stayed in this time did not have a working outlet, and the phone did not have a wake-up call function. There was no information about "WiFi" in the room, and there was a connection guide when I went to the lobby, but it seems that you cannot use it unless you enter the "SSID" and "PW" yourself. The bath is "free-flowing from the source". You can see from the image that the overflowing water is not circulated through pipes, and circulating water needs to be disinfected with chlorine and other disinfectants, so you can tell by the smell. Free-flowing water does not have disinfectants, so you can tell by the smell. Hot springs that are circulated and disinfected are much less effective. I think it's better to take a bath in a "free-flowing from the source" bath if possible. The reason it is 1000 yen more expensive than other Itoen hotels is because the dinner is of a higher quality. The breakfast is the same as other Itoen hotels.

Suddenly, I wanted to go to Dake Onsen, so I looked it up online and found this hotel, which was less than 10,000 yen per person, and I was attracted to it and made a reservation. At this time of year, most of the hotels were fully booked, but there was one room left for the 18th, a "non-smoking, pond side, 12 tatami room" so I immediately booked it. At this point, I made the reservation because I wanted to take a bath in the acidic hot spring with a pH of 2.5, so the room, food, and view didn't really matter to me. However, although the 12 tatami room was indeed about 12 tatami mats, it also had a wider wooden floor, making it a total of about 18 tatami mats, and was spacious and clean. Also, it was a southeast corner room, so there were windows on two sides to the southeast, and when I opened the shoji screen, a wonderful view spread out before me. It was raining heavily in the evening on the day of arrival, so I spent time bathing in the hot spring, but when I looked outside the next morning, I was surprised. Mt. Adatara towered majestically in the distance, and in the middle was a tunnel of cherry blossoms in full bloom called "Sakurazaka" in the middle, and below was Kagami-ga-ike Pond, surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom. The hot spring is acidic with a pH of 2.5, but unlike Tamagawa Onsen, it does not irritate the skin and is more like a sulfur spring with hot spring deposits. The open-air bath and indoor bath are not very large, but even when the hotel is full, there were only a maximum of 12 people in the bath, so it did not feel small. The water warmed up well, and after going in and out several times, the sweat flowed from my body and it was a very pleasant hot spring. As for the food, let me just say that it was better than a 15,000 yen inn in the mountains. Anyway, for this price, this room, this hot spring, and this view, it was a hot spring inn worth visiting again. By the way, on the way back, we received a coupon for 1,000 yen per person for each person. I have been to many hot springs many times, but with all-you-can-drink and other things, this price is not possible given the quality of this inn. Still, if you feel that the dinner food is not satisfying, it is a good idea to apply for the option in advance.

二本松の岳温泉街から狭い坂（桜坂）を降りて行きます。 右手に足湯がありますが、寒くて車から降りる気になりませんでした。 左手には閉館したままとなっている櫟平ホテルがあります（途中道路にも看板がそのまま残っています）。 さて、こちらのホテルは駐車場は公式HPにも敷地内には60台、部屋数も47室と記載されていますが、何故か到着が遅かった数台は路駐させられていました（と言っても、突き当たりの行き止まりなので、ホテル利用者以外の車は入ってきませんが）。 館内はとても綺麗です。 お部屋は和室で快適でした。 窓からは鏡が池がよく見えます。 お風呂は１階にあり、大浴場と露天風呂だけで、サウナは併設されておらず、男女入れ替えもありません。 「酸性泉」と記載されていますが、硫黄臭があり、よく温まります。 訪れた日はちょうど「ミルキーデー（湯樋清掃日）」であり、で乳白色の温泉でしたが、翌日朝風呂に入った時は透明でした。 お料理はハーフバイキングで、すき焼きや基本的なものは既にテーブルに用意され、一部料理と飲み物がバイキング形式となっています。 館内施設もほとんど無料で、今回は卓球を楽しみました。 またボードゲームを借りて（複数ありますが、１回の貸し出しは１個ずつ）、夜部屋で盛り上がりました。 伊藤園グループの中では、おすすめの旅館だと思います。
