We arrived at this hotel by from Paris. And have stayed at this Ibis before. The room was clean and tidy and very large as we have been given a family room - cool. The hotel is only a 20 minute walk to the Nice sea front and is near to the many eating locations. The shopping area is also closed by as is the over rated 'Old Town' (its up there with the Left Bank in Paris.). Breakfast was poor as there was no fresh fruit available even though we asked for a restock there was none to be had. The breakfast plates and cutlery on the tables just kept piling up so a staff problem here. We rarely have breakfast at any hotel and here's the reason why - paid good money too for our one night stop over. Good staff on reception in a good clean hotel shame about the breakfast. Don’t stay at this hotel if you want to get some rest. There is a restaurant downstairs so people will be coming after midnight and talking loudly. You will be hearing cars throughout the night. In terms of cleanliness it was ok. The room was a bit small. Not the worst place to stay for the price. Just a bit loud.

THE ROOM: spacious and had not only a good bed but room enough to walk around and open a suitcase. There was a desk area by the window and a small sitting area with a bench by the head of the bed. The room was modern and clean and smelled lovely. It was theoretically quiet as it was facing towards the back of the building but the windows have to remain shut as some guests might come and smoke and chat on the terrace (it admittedly happened only once and until someone shouted at them to go to their room). The main problem was some rather loud and repetitive structural sound, was loud enough to wake me. At first I thought that the upstair neighbours were moving a piece of furniture every 2 minutes but it made little sense. I concluded that it was one of the elevators that had some sort of issue and emitted the sound of a dying whale from early in the morning until late into the night. THE STAFF: the staff was friendly and helpful. However, be aware that you will be charged 10 euros to get into your room if you arrive at the hotel before 15:00 and your room is ready. You will be charged 5 euros to leave a suitcase in storage after 10:00 on the day of your departure. You also have to book and pay for a maid to come and change your towels and empty your bin. The hotel was pleasant and affordable but I have never had to pay for these kind of services in any hotel I have stayed at.

The location of the hotel was very close to a lot of the surrounding attractions. It was also close to transport links. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size, suited my needs. The bathroom was also clean and again a good size for me. The only negatives were that despite leaving the 'Do not disturb” sign out the cleaning staff tried to enter on several occasions while I was in the room and did enter on one occasion that I was aware off. There was also a new building being constructed facing the hotel and some work took place during the early hours of the morning which disrupted my sleep a little so maybe ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was great value for money.

Location wise - close to everything, don’t be out off on route to it. Super close to the train station and a short walk to the beach and streets with lots of shopping variety. Hotel decor is dated in places and the room felt semi finished decorating. Breakfast was nice plenty of choice for pastry, yogurts etc. It says soundproofing and this is where it’s wrong! You can literally here everything from the rooms. No control on noise one night I spent 4 hours from 01:30 to 05:30 wide awake listening to the room next door laugh, cry, sing and endured them smoking. The noise and unfinished touches in the room let it down. Otherwise nice location!

Very nice hotel, convenient, 20 minutes walk from the city center, and the price is very cheap. . The breakfast is also good. . Lots of food. . There is also a big shopping mall opposite the hotel. . The surrounding facilities are complete. . Everything. .

My wife and I stayed for one week at Hotel Byakko. It is conveniently placed for public transport and in good walking distance of the shops and Old Town. The staff are all very friendly, polite and efficient and the amenities and breakfast good. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the shower good too. If anything, the hotel undersells itself, by not mentioning some of its amenities, including free afternoon tea, a safe in the room, shower soap etc in the bathroom and so on. We would highly recommend Hotel Byakko and would certainly stay there again if we are back in NIce. Thank you to all the hotel's staff for an enjoyable stay.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, in couple in August 2022. The structure is in a strategic position: 100m from rue de medicine, the main street full of shops, which runs entirely (about 700m) goes to the long sea, to the promenade des angles. We easily found road parking in the surroundings: if you use the car during the day to visit the surroundings, you do not need to put the car in a private parking because after 20:00 the road parking is free. The morning reception staff was very professional and kind, and he lent us the shadow for 2 days as it rained. The room is modern and in a minimum style: the room is equipped with a safe, a refrigerator (vuodated), the premises are compatible with those of Italy. Our room at the first floor was light and looked at the restaurant next to the hotel.The room in front of the bed was a little narrow, but the room's square is acceptable. Modern and beautiful bathroom, however, no shower cuffs have been provided.

Hotel fine, comfortable. Beware of asking them to arrange a taxi to the airport. I asked how much a taxi would be and was told 35 Euros, so asked for a taxi to be booked for the next morning. The ”taxi” was a private operator licensed to work as a taxi, but had no meter. When i asked where the meter was, the driver told me the fare was 40 Euros, this after I'd already got in and we were on our way. Beware of this tactic. Not sure how this is organised, but need to have correct information given before booking.
