Fantastic location, best hospitality, friendly, attentive and caring staff. Amazing service...will definitely recommend to all. The quality of food, Hygiene is good. The butter made special efforts to prepare the food which we were eager to eat and try. The staff, servers Al made us feel special. Thanks again.

Its the best place to be after a nice safari trip at the Lake Manyara National park. Its 100% retreat. You can withdraw to recover. The rooms, the restaurant, the food is highest quality. The staff is very friendly. Very nice pool. Very nice bar with billard. Beautiful garden with many nice flowers and plants. Its an paradies!

The hotel is beautiful. The service amazing, everybody there is so nice and thoughtful. The food was absolutely great. The a**osphere was very traditional and yet modern and very cozy. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

I LOVE The Retreat. It was my second time there; my husband has been 3 times, and we sent our family on Safari, and they also stayed there and loved the place. There is no mistake about staying at The Retreat. The a**osphere is magical, the cabins are large, clean, and very comfortable. We love to ask for the fireplace inside the bedroom in the evening as the climate is very cool and pleasant compared to the heat of Dar es Salaam. The food is spectacular (lunchboxes for safari were great!) and the service very good, we have no complaints. The place is beautiful, and they take care of every detail. We stay at the retreat when we do the Safari program with Roy Safaris (excellent), and the truth is that it would be worth spending a couple of days more resting, enjoying the calm and the climate. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean room and bathroom. Amazing water pressure and hot water. Golf carts to travel to and from the rooms. Nice pool. And very nice Indian food also available. The staff is very very kind. Very nice plants and farming around.

On our arrival we received a very warm welcome.I travelled with my Mother and Aunt with a polio inability and the staff were very efficient and kind in assisting her ,we moved around with a caddy to the room.We were welcomed with a very tasty and refreshing drink .The Hotel is well designed and charming.The Rooms were excellent and well maintained and very clean overall very comfortable.The Food very fresh and delicious.The Staff always offered a smile and had a friendly nature .The next day we took a trip to Ngorongoro with Roy Safaris.Our driver John was well spoken and professional.Our trip to Ngorongoro was truly unforgettable ,we spent the most time taking in the beauty of all the landscape and animals.Overall great and exceptional services from Roy Safaris and The Retreat Ngorongoro. We greatly appreciated the stay and safari.

The rooms were amazing and so comfortable! The service when having meals was some the best we have had on our travels. A special mention to Judith in the restaurant who looked after us very well. My highlight was getting driven in the golf cart to and from our rooms to reception. Overall an amazing experience!

This was a dream come true. Beyond belief after you enter the gates. Welcome to the resort was well organized with exceptional service. Very friendly and informative staff through and through. Words cannot express this Gem hidden in Ngorongoro area. We have been to many 5 star, Luxury hotels but The Retreat at Ngorongoro felt like a 7 Star resort, if there is such a thing. The view, Pool, food, Bar, the walk, trails, Vegetable and Fruit gardens, Quotes along the path, Golf cart services to the cabin and main lobby etc. etc were all appreciated and cherished for years to come. Road to get to the Resort is not the greatest, especially after a rain, but once you are in the compound, unbelievable beauty. Plenty of space to sit and relax within the resort compound. we plan to go back there again with extended family from Canada.
